Permaculture Vineyard
США
Добавлен 24 июл 2019
Permaculture Vineyard shows how to transform a small urban lot into a permaculture winegarden. Crenshaw Cru is the name of this perennial, multi-story polyculture, or urban food forest... or wine forest. In the center of Los Angeles, CA, Crenshaw Cru produces food, wine, beauty, joy, pleasure and community engagement. Centralas is the name of the winery associated with this winegarden, and this channel will show you how a vineyard can produce so much more than just grapes.
Adam can be hired to consult, design, and/or implement your backyard vineyard winegarden, using the principles of permaculture. He has developed winegardens and backyard vineyards for over ten years. He creates beautiful spaces that encourage interaction, produce delicious things that can be eaten or fermented into wine, and benefit your health and community... in a way that reduces the amount of work needed to maintain. He has made wine for over 15 years and can be hired for winemaking consultation or classes.

Maybe you took a break from alcohol this January and you don't want to go back to drinking wines made within the dominant paradigm. Maybe you'd like to try something truly extraordinary, rare, unique, ecological, and excellent. If so... this episode offers some suggestions.
For this episode I assembled a gathering of Los Angeles wine professionals to taste through a handful of wines that represent winemakers who are among some of the most groundbreaking... and the most unacknowledged for the amazing work they do.

The First Principle of Regenerative Viticulture
Просмотров 1728 дней назад
Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-fb2ph-1797b46 Behind the ecological devastation caused by conventional, industrial viticulture and agriculture in general are ideas of disconnection and individualism, which lead to extraction and parasitism. These won't be solved by focusing on soil health. We need to rebuild our belonging to the community of life. Gratitude is a great place to start to reconnect...
The Lost Art & Science of Natural Wine - Daniel Callan, Slamdance Koöperatieve
Просмотров 25Месяц назад
Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-szg4m-1772c9f My guest for this episode is Daniel Callan, the cellar man behind Slamdance Koöperatieve. Daniel pointed out to me recently that I've been too focused on winegrowing. I had to agree, and Daniel’s suggestion was that we talk about how the past of winemaking may actually be its future. Because, essentially, all wines made throughout history until somet...

Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-puafn-1743185 After spending the year learning some of the limits of regenerative wine, and reporting those in the Death in the Vineyard mini-series, I wanted to spend some time exploring what regenerative wine could be. This is a stand-alone episode, but it also functions as an epilogue to the Death In The Vineyard series. The most important lesson I learned this...
Death In The Vineyard - Part 1: Sympathy For Vole d'Mort
Просмотров 44 месяца назад
Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-yab25-16d612a I experienced a vole infestation in a vineyard for the first time, and it has devastated my understanding of regenerative viticulture. In this first of a multi-part series called Death In the Vineyard, I talk to experts and winegrowers from all over the US about this adorable little creature, the vole, and the massive impact it has had historically a...

Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-84smk-16c032f An epic conversation with David Bos of @BosWine in Michigan, so I’m going to keep this intro short. Dave is a fantastic ambassador for Michigan wine, and yet he spent more than a decade growing and making wine organically and biodynamically in Napa Valley first. So his enthusiasm seems well informed, and I hope you find it as infectious as I did. See...
Gut Oggau - Eduard & Stephanie Tscheppe

Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-5jd7h-16a5dac I’m delighted to share this conversation with Eduard and Stephanie Tscheppe of Gut Oggau in Burgenland in Austria. 17 years ago they started making decisions about how to farm and make wine that were not popular or even understandable to most of the wine world. It was a huge risk, maybe even a little foolish, and because of it, I don’t think it’s an ...

Probably the most underrated wine podcast on You Tube, great job
Thank you!
Thank you for covering this topic so well, a topic which is often frustrating to people looking to discover new and 'old' possibilities in the wine world, and keep coming across the same nonsense on repeat
Thank you!

This was great he sounds like an interesting guy I'm definitely interested in his wines they sound phenomenal and I love supporting makers like this, its the stuff I want to drink but gosh he wasn't wrong about the retail prices once they leave Switzerland it basically triples in the UK and it is a shame because winemakers like this do it so everyone can taste something great not just people with very deep pockets, probably willing to burn a hole in my wallet to try it a few times though, life's too short to drink trash
