Emma Zorec 1924 - 1994
It is very difficult and albeit strange to try and chronicle someone’s life history, you begin to wonder about all the conversations, ideas and moment’s one person can have and the impact they leave on other people while living and then when finally, they’re gone.
Emma was one of the many post war immigrants to arrive in Australia in 1956 and with that she met her future husband, Mirko in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
They met and soon enough a child was born, the one who wrote this epilogue and put together the u tube picture montage.

Nella Fantasia : Russell Watson : 2000
Просмотров 29711 месяцев назад
This song was introduced to me by someone I was casually seeing in 2003, strangely, the memory of them and this song are intertwined and still occupies my memory, anytime I hear ‘Nella Fantasia’ That said, in the realm of light cross over classical music, it is a captivating and wistful song and speaks to the heart in different ways and the voice and arrangement here seems to be the definitive ...
You're The First My Last My Everything : Barry White : 1974
Просмотров 295Год назад
The Barry White story is really a rise from absolute obscurity to international fame, a style of seductive pop music with that distinctive and growling bass baritone voice that had more character than range but no one could replicate. Then add the lush orchestral arrangements and tone of seduction with that voice and it’s instant magic for a large part of the population. I saw Barry White in 20...
Someone Somewhere In Summertime : Simple Minds 1982 (45 RPM Vinyl)

An entirely almost hypnotic song, it’s in a league of its own and ‘New Gold Dream' the album was the commercial pinnacle for Simple Minds, in retrospect. The album gathered a cult audience who wanted another version of New Gold Dream, like you could just churn out copy paste factory variant versions of something so organic that came together at the right time with the right people in the right ...
Wishful Thinking : China Crisis 1983 (45 RPM Vinyl)
Просмотров 1462 года назад
Rising out of the post punk era in 1979 and with a strong affinity for Brian Eno’s music initially, China Crisis were more on the fringe of the music scene to begin and were fans of David Bowie, Talking Heads and Steeley Dan. By 1981 they veered away from experimental sounds to a more commercial sound. By sheer chance and happy coincidence for the band, Walter Becker of Steely Dan fame, produce...

‘That's the look, That's the look, The look of love’ Another 80s band from Sheffield UK with an unashamedly ‘pop tastic’ sound who rode the New Wave scene of the early 80s. I loved this in the day and it has aged well as the production is A1 as you would expect from Trevor Horn the man who brought you The Buggles 'Video Killed The Radio Star’ Grace Jones, Yes, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Art Of ...
Mirror Man : Human League 1982 (45 RPM Vinyl)

From the land of Sheffield in the UK, David Bowie once described Human League as the future of pop ! I remember Mirror Man so clearly and loved it to death, that affection is a bit tempered now but I still love the 133 bpm and pounding bass, a song that’s apparently about Adam Ant, the 80’s gimmicky new wave pop star who got dressed up in a kind of Jack Sparrow outfit at times or a new romantic...

I love Peggy Lee, especially this song-it gets me every time. Oh, how appropriate it is, given the fires in SoCal! 💔
Just found out today the musical arrangement was by Randy Newman. Thank you Randy for helping to save this incredible song from obscurity.
Straight off Test Pattern and Music. Something that we used to have on TV in a bygone era when the TV channels went to sleep during the early hours of the night.
This song and George Burns' "I wish I was 18 again" do it for me! I married at 17 and had 67+ years with the greatest gift until he died a year ago.
Genial el LP contiene los buenos temas
Hermosura de música.
This AMAZING SONG BY PEGGY LEE, is ALL ABOUT THE CELEBRATION OF LIVING LIFE, LET'S ALL CELEBRATE.
I have been thinking about this song the last few days. I just now looked it up. I can still picture the dining area, the floor, the walls, the light, the temperature in the childhood home, when I first heard this song. I stood, listening. And I asked my father what booze was. I remember, years later, riding up the hill from my neighborhood, driving somewhere, and the song played. I thought a little of the meaning, and of my father. He's been on my mind, the childhood hoe has been on my mind. It's funny, but when I heard the part about the fire, as a child, I could picture my father watching the house burn, with that way he had, of seeing the most wrenching things happen, and calmly reflecting, doubtless feeling it, but calm, his eyes reflective, perhaps melancholy, knowing the import, drinking it in, but reminding himself that he could change none of it. Perhaps that was why the sing haunted me: that I had imagined myself in it, recognized the caring father I had, but understanding how he kept perspective on most things. It helped me see something, that excitement is a reaction, under your own control, that getting worked up always makes us expect more. That when that more does not come, there's no point inventing. Accept it and move on. Know that your consolation is in your company and your attitude. Your joy is what you make of it. But life is to be lived as it comes, and there's no point dreading the end or dreading the middle. It sounds fatalistic or grim, but really, it's practical. It will be what it is, no more, no less, so make the most of it, without moping. Realize what you have, and keep on living. You can definitely do that. I'm thinking of my father. Lived on his own terms, nothing dramatic, died on his own terms, naturally at home. I miss him, but I live on his lessons. Let's keep on dancing.
Life is a joke. No purpose, no I, no you, even this song... Is that all there is.
Why is there an echo? It's not on the other version.
Go Nana 🥰👏90 years old & still going strong ❤️🩹
An absolute masterpiece from dear Ryuichi.
Both theme songs are well-known,but Come On,Get Happy is the one we know now. Also you put the song Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted(written by W. Farrell,J. Cretecos and M. Appel) from their 2nd album Up To Date.
Hvala lepa za lepi začetek dneva,čau.
What the hell is this even about, my grandpa sent this to me and have no idea what’s going on
Absolutely amazing record! I love Geoff Love’s work!
When Peggy Lee died -- 22 years ago!! -- a writer in the New Yorker described her voice this way: "It has hips." Does it ever! This song came out when I was a child and even then felt like a throwback to a time already long gone but, despite myself, I loved it and her. I'm still listening, 55 years later. If that's all there is, it's more than enough. Thanks, Peggy.
I hope Peggy didn't find dying the "final disappointment." When Mick Jagger heard this song, he allegedly said he was giving up trying to writer downer lyrics.
Fire fucking sucks 😞😞😞
GREAT THEME SONGS!!!
Super❤
To all, Thank You for the explanation of the test pattern. Here in the United States we would have never known. Also, I heard this song for the first time on the radio with my Mom coming home from school and fell in love with it. But I didn’t have the benefit of hearing it often. The back up voices were purely Angelic and I still experience that special feeling today.❤❤❤
Irrésistiblement je suis transporté Et pense à cette magnifique scène du film "After hours" de Scorsese. Je voudrais ici m'adresser à Peggy Lee pour lui dire ô combien 🌹
Talk about cynical , No wonder the only women available to me are hookers .
Only Peggy Lee knew how to bring this song to life… as she definitely did.
This song made me a fan of Peggy Lee for life. I was 16 years old in 1969, a very eventful year for me.
I was 8. And I watched a man walk on the moon.

This song is on my funeral playlist 🤣🤣🤣🦩👋
The line “and then one day - he went away.” Is heartbreaking. So many of us have experienced that and can relate completely. I’ll bet it can bring tears to many eyes. Just as in death it’s a form of grief. And while we learn (hopefully) to live with it, it will never completely come to an end.
Greatest Mixed Thanks upload

This song memorizes me every time I hear it. I love it and never can get enough of listening to it. One of the best singers of our lifetime.
I think your fingers meant to type ‘mesmerizes’ me; at least that’s how it affects me. 🙂

the perfect song for end of empire
Exactly, the A merry can century is over and thankfully BRICS will bring new hope for the living.
What does she mean saying is that all there is ? Does she mean it is good that it is only that in there ? Or it is bad ?😅 I don’t get
She's just singing the words that some guys gave her. That's all it is.
Like some of the other commenters, I'm also a Vietnam vet, 1969-70. A tunnel rat in the 25th Infantry Division. This song, which I heard for the first time on the 'Big Chuck & Little John Show', reminds me of my spiritual condition a few years after I came home from the war. I wondered if being born, working, partying, and then dying, was all there was to life. I thank God, through Jesus Christ that He showed me it wasn't true.
Well done. How many animals did this vet manage to cure? Jesus was a loser, as was god as he FAILED to make a decent planet, but screwed up big time with this mess. But who gives a toss?
Pesmi ki ti gredo globo v srce
Just watched a character in ‘Designated Survivor’ meet their demise to the sound of this song - masterful!
What a song and what a voice!
