@@StayOutWithChrisTonight yes! cube #D8, I watched your video before and once again after I checked in thats when I realized I was in your room lol. The people who came in after me were a bit loud while organizing their luggage and settling in. So it was a bit difficult for me to get good sleep. The noises seem to be amplified while you are in your cube. Otherwise, it is a nice place to stay, clean, quiet for the most part (just depends on your cube mates), the staff is very friendly and helpful. If I were to stay there again, I'd definitely use the ear plugs. :)
Thank you for taking us to the Cat Village. We are planning to go there in two weeks time. I found your video about the train trip very useful as (in my opinion) not so many videos given enough information about the walkthrough from Taipei Main Station to Houtong. One question though, is there a reserved train to Houtong, the one that goes straight there? I will have my EasyCard ready but if it‘s possible I would like to buy the tickets and keep it as a souvenir. :) When we get there I hope we‘ll get more fist bumps from the cats than you did. :) Thank you again, Chris. 😺😺😺
Thanks for watching, so glad my video can help you! If taking other reserved trains, you should transfer to Ruifang station and take the local train to Houtong. I would still recommend taking local trains from Taipei Main Station, however, you can still get paper tickets from the machines or the counters! I hope you can get more fist bumps, receiving their compliments is not an easy job though😂

You would suggest spending 1 night or 2 nights in the island?
If you would like to use all the facilities on the island, I would suggest staying for 2 nights. However, 1 night is also enough if you just want to enjoy the water activities.
Did you go on the rooftop? And could you see Sydney Harbour bridge, Opera House and Possibly Ships like ovation of the seas?
Yes, I've been to rooftop. Unfortunately, the view in Central YHA only includes city view. But there is another YHA in The Rocks, which is right next to the harbor and it may have the view of the Opera and the ships!
