There is a ferry there all ready.

Way to go Thomas I love you little brother. Miss you dearly, God is good ALL THE TIME
A lot of those guys laying pipe drive hours with no drive time and no company car
We all know the US is one of the most corrupt greedy poor managed country in the world.
Trade culture i always find to be pretty toxic. It went from last generation old heads, the guys who fought in ww1 and vietnam, where their shit talk actually had a reason behind it. Today, i find it the opposite, where the older guy's will talk shit and talk down to younger guys for really no reason at all
hehehe don't expect AC in denmark maybe district cooling in a 100 yaers or so😃
All that hard work is on another level. I pray that land isn't stolen from everyone as being said😢
I'm free for interview to discuss the problems with you commie agents
Nicotine destroys nano tech from sorcery shot,a smart as KT Holden
Used a vactor truck to save a guy from a trench in Dupo IL. It was wild and wouldn’t have been possible without that vactor
The current regime does!
And what does crushing cars have to do with construction?😂
Just getting your construction management degree does it really mean much. You better get some real-world experience before you start leading a crew on a project.
This was one of the best podcasts I’ve ever seen across all platforms, top job fellas 🤙🏻
This video is incredibly inspiring, especially for me. Having worked for over 11 years with Caterpillar and Komatsu, I truly appreciate how respectfully, passionately, and insightfully you discuss machines. I've handled countless machines and even more spare parts, yet I still find inspiration every time I engage with these topics. I can also relate to Jarryd's struggles with citizenship, as I've spent the past year gathering documents for my Australian independent working visa, and the process is still far from over. His perseverance resonates deeply with me as I navigate similar challenges. Thanks for the video! Great work! P.s. Wishing Jarryd the best of luck in crossing borders without any headaches in the future!
Black Rock, Vanguard, State Street own literally 99% of everything. Blackrock alone is insane
I lasted 8 months of the 2 year+ covid lock down in Melbourne ... had to get the hell out of there. It really does seem like a nightmare of such strange days 4 years on
My first time listening to a dirt talk podcast, i like it! I was just trying to find more info about tyre and came across this episode, Aaron and the team really did a good job on the preparation for this episode, very well thought of
I find problem is alot of jobs want people to have years of experience but forget all them guys are starting age out of jobs
This is true across all trade type work. we are in a generational change where the amount of people retiring is more than the replacements coming in.
“Kinda the wrong place to become a dick” haha!
What work would you recommend while attending university for a cm degree
WOOO congrats on your first sponsorship!
Made my day seeing this Ames reading episode drop! Such a great story 🤝
Final part up now! glad you've enjoyed it, it's for sure a cool story.
Truth is they treat you like azz old heads want u breaking ur back and most of the time u get let go when the jobs done bc its cheap labor especially the apprentice and its sad seeing a old guy doing the same thing u do for the same price the new guys got
How can a person like me with less than a year experience in construction industry but with CMPT degree get started in canada?
Lol im in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 you’ve nailed it mate, there’s still a lot of hillbilly attitudes here mate. Sometimes I think im working in one the 3rd world countries but later on I’ll be saying fuck this is Canada
You’re doing a good thing man. Thanks for sharing your experience. Invaluable.
I was just telling someone else this. Just my enrollment in a CM degree program has opened the door to internships that would otherwise be closed to me. However my non existent Microsoft excel experience might place me lower on totem pole of prospects. It was a question from all internship interviews. Something I’m not used to being a journeyman laborer lol
This concept applies to all fields. Experience combined with structured knowledge is everything.
Great episode! Super cool to hear how you have built and continue to build and popularize social media in the heavy equipment world!
Redwing boots 🥾 are way better than Ariat mate

Great conversation! You guys touched on a lot of good topics. Love tuning in to this channel. Keep givin ‘er
Maybe they should pay you all more
I’m 22 with a GC license about to get into college for my CM degree
Great pod as always! Would be interested in a SDI or Bond pod. Or other insurance products in the construction biz
Girl Dads Rule!
Scott is the man
I got a cm internship going into my senior year of hs so I’m very excited about that
My cousin got hired without experience. This statement true then is now false. Work history doesn’t even doesn’t even apply rn. Just get a degree and get the PMP.
I’m glad Jay is talking about simulators. I get a lot of flack for wanting to go to school to get some machine time. There just much opportunity or down time to get some the old fashioned way. One school I’m looking at mentions using a simulator as well as hands on time. I think him investing in this type of training is enough to say it has value, it just hasn’t taken ahold in people’s minds yet. CM degree and operator training. Your boy has been in the trench too long. Great channel brother. You’re knowledgeable and have an ease about you that keeps a good pace to have your conversations flowing naturally. Appreciate the content.
As far as new and inexperienced labor is concerned, a company needs to have a good training and safety program put in place for all new hires. It should be at least two weeks before they get out in the field. With no experience in construction. Everybody should at least complete their OSHA 10. And more work related online learning. For natural gas, we had veriforce OQ’s. All Green workers were taken at the yard shown USA markings how to identify utility markings. Also given mock situations they would see in the field. Four proposed excavations.Teams of two would break, pothole, daylight the utility, backfill and compact. Before they ever dig around a live gas line. So one week inside a “class room” and one week practicing everything they were just taught. That was at Northern Pipeline Construction. They have one of the best training and safety programs. And where I’m from that’s where a lot of guys got their start in Gas Edit: They for sure, try to generate that skilled workforce. Like you mentioned. Also a lot of guys leave to go make more money somewhere else. From what I’ve seen it’s more worth it to train new people than it is to compete with Union wages. NPL has no shortage of work and from what I hear, foreman, Supers and on up are very well taken care of.
Been in the trades for many years. Moved around between trades more than I’d have liked to if I could do it over. But a degree in CM coupled with experience I hope pay off for me.
Been in construction my whole life. Pipeline construction the last 4 years. Got accepted to a university last week. Start my CM classes tonight. Too stoked.
How it’s that bro I’m in the same path 5 years in the field dry utilities I only have a GED do you do online classes?
Thanks for the opportunity to join the conversation and be featured on the show!
Infrastructure jobs aren’t being designed fast enough which is effecting everything, luckily we are busy for the next two years but it would be nice to see the bidding backlog jammed full at all times
Great reading thank you.
