I really enjoyed reading this!!!A lot of people have actually been saying that its not that good. Now I don’t have much experience with reading books, as I am 14 and honestly I don’t have that big of an interest in reading for fun. But I picked up the book one time and fell in love, glad to know that other readers like this book as much as me!

Totally agree on the satisfaction of someone actually reading the book you've recommended. Also pushing Romantic Comedy back up to the top of my pile! p.s. LOVE the parrot cushion

Recommend this book is akin to recommending someone waterboard themselves for 8hours. The sad part is that I’d rather be waterboarded than go brain dead reading/listening to garbage.

As a new reader, Yarros and Maas (the first two authors I've read apart from Star Wars audiobooks in the past) being on this list overjoys me! I've read ACOTAR and CC, and I've just started on TOG. Fourth Wing was actually the first physical novel I ever picked up and read through cover to cover, and I only picked it up because I saw the shiny cover in walmart 😆Didn't even know how popular she was until afterward. Maas and Yarros are probably my favorite writers of all time, even outside of just literature writing. So glad this video popped up in my feed!

So, it sounds like the only way to have a chance in this contest is to already be a well-known author, is that correct? I've written a number of books. Four of them have placed in the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards, which is an international contest for children's books written in English. I've also won in a local library contest all three years that I entered. My writing is good, but no one knows about me. The only sales I've made have been from people I know. Since the finalists are based on user engagement, then if no one knows about my books, I wouldn't have a chance, correct?

when you publish your book, do you have to put the UK as the main place where books will be sold? For example, it says to publish KDP, UK- So if normally you click, COM, now you will click UK? Sorry if that is a dumb question. I really want to submit my newest novel, but this is the only question I have. I have it on UK right now but want to make sure. I have been working on this book since last year to put kindle storyteller 2024 and am finally ready to do so.

This is one of the most dreadful books I have read. quite frankly the book is like the neighbours in your street simply with malicious gossip not worth it at all. I could have written it by simply chatting with any neighbour

I never got to do this. My mother gifted all my childhood books (mostly Nancy Drew and the Hardy) boys to a school when I was 16, i got home, and my shelves were absolutely empty. I was devastated for weeks and by the time it no longer popped to mind regularly at 18 I had an 11 year old approach me at my school going "are you the Katja whose name is in so many books at x school?" I felt like a minor celebrity 😂
