Can anyone tell me where the other end of that drain hose goes? Why can you plug the drain hole in the moto chamber and cap the other end of the hose in the heater compartment if that is where it goes? Other thought is to drain tub, then pour some 5min epoxy down the drain hole hoping to seal it both from the moto drain side and the hose side if water comes the other way. Any help is appreciated as I was quoted $1500 to fix this, and the tub is like 15 years old and will probably need more repairs.

Do you have a video showing how to remove / replace these newer style toggles? My tub is out of warranty and one of them has started squeaking very badly when it's closed. Do you need to drain the tub to switch them?

5 years late to the party, but I have a question... Wouldn't you want to replace those relays given that something caused that solder joint to burn out? I feel like jumpering the connections is a great way to overcome the bad joint, but it doesn't address the root of the problem. I suspect the contacts in at least one of the relays were bad, and require replacing... No?

Hey great video - I was thinking of doing something similar but could not figure out how to easily deal with the coil side of the relay. I would have never guessed that you could buy relays with the pins in the same spots! I tired to buy the kits from you but it looks like you don't ship to Canada so I am going to have try and figure this out on my own.

I have a 2014 Balboa BP 501 board and my right heater leg is not working. I’m sure it’s the same relay issue but mine is a little different that what you’ve worked on. Do you have relays for my board as well?

The gauge seems a bit small on those jumpers compared to what my other jumpers are (12 awg)... A local repair shop suggested even going 10 awg for the heater connections (replacing the copper straps)

These should be hand tight, if you have to tighten them that much the gasket may be pinched.

It’s lovely to look at and great to sit it in HOWEVER, I’ve had 2 of the 585’s and they DO NOT hold up. My shell lights have separated form the shell, one of the exteriors light seems to be in op as well and there are NO warranty extensions. That said, and both of my units were 3-5 years when motors had to replaced, the lack of warranty extensions is unacceptable. For a long term unit I DO NOT recommend Jacuzzi at all. They to fall apart right at or about the end of the warranty and the service costs are insane. Other options for a fraction of the cost! I’m not a guy that posts unfavorable reviews unless they’re meaningful so for what that’s worth, I just urge you to do your due diligence ahead of buying this or any other unit Jacuzzi brand has to offer.

I have a balboa icon 15 spa pack that I believe went out. The top side controls were acting up and not displaying properly and now it won't turn on at all. I am thinking about replacing the pack and top controls. Should I do retro fit or try to find a balboa pack. If going with Balboa which one do I get?

As a diagnostic step, could you block the drain from inside the spa, and then check if that stops water level from dropping?

Hi thank you so much for your very helpful videos so easy to follow. We discovered that our terminal block was fried on one corner thus melting the plastic and therefore the hot tub stopped working. I'm wondering is there any point in replacing the terminal block or do you think there's a chance it may typically have damaged the rest of the board.? I can send a photo to you. If you wouldn't mind taking a look at the photo .. I would appreciate it as it could save us a lot of money. 👍

Just a suggestion when using spray foam in an aerosol can, its meant to be held inverted (upside down). I think you will find it works much better this way and you will get all the available material out as well.

I have a hot tub project. It was at our house when we bought it. The hot tub is in pieces. We're not sure what brand it is. We don't even know if the parts we have are for it. I just built a new surround for it. Now we're trying to figure out what we need to get it running. We're also interested in adding led lights and more jets. The tub does hold water. We really want to be able to start using it.
