If you’re going to tell a story it needs to be at least realistic, there is no way any relationship would carry on as normal after one person says they are under suspicion and they’re being followed. And unfortunately the AI voice reading this story also adds to the unrealistic feel of this story. A voice that has no emotion.

Well, not a bad story. A little bit of trouble in the middle as it seems like it wasn’t edited well and there were multiple iterations, but a decently written story. No revenge, just lots of sorrow and melancholy and hopelessness.

Didn’t expect the guns in the story and it’s quite unrealistic that the waitress would be carrying and a good enough shot to make a one shot kill. Oh well, I’m from Massachusetts where the waitress would be charged with second degree murder, the OP as well but maybe on a lesser charge because he too was armed, provoking the altercation by striking the victim. Both will be tried until bankruptcy and eventually plead guilty to a lesser charge(s) because you’re innocent until proven broke!!!

WTF? Daniel went looking for Haley because her father had a heart attack and was in the ER. That is what caused him to find out that she was cheating on him, but it was never mentioned again. Instead, when they got back to the house, he was served with divorce papers immediately! Really! That was fast. Then, in a follow-up conversation it was like the divorce paperwork did not include who was the primary caregiver for their daughter. Really?!? This would have been crystal clear in the Divorce decree.... Then she agreed to give up primary custody?!?! This is just hopeless.This was clearly several different stories pieced together by some idiot AI with no idea what the real world is like.
