Love SBRs, Rifles, Pistols, and Shotguns your in the right place!
This channel is dedicated to shooting from guns, ammo, and gun rights. I named my channel The Armed Exile as l was originally from the UK. If you know anything about their gun laws, you already know they are bad! I had to give up my handguns there in 1997 due to a national handgun ban.
Now in the USA and a citizen l am lucky enough to be able to once again enjoy pistol shooting and collecting all types of guns. So the funny thing is most of my gun collection would be illegal in the UK. Now l am never going to give up my guns so l guess that makes me an exile in the greatest county in the world. That’s not such a bad trade off in my mind!
As Americans we should look at the UK as an example of what can happen when our gun rights are slowly taken away. Please help me build this channel by liking, subscribing, and commenting on my videos.

I have lived both in the UK and the USA and have owned guns in both counties. In this video l am going to explain the process of buying a gun in the UK and compare it to buying a b=gun in the USA. The British way is very long and makes it a real pain to get into shooting. My hats off to my an English shooting friends that have to go through this process every 5 years! Here in the USA depending on the Stere we just complete a background check and a waiting period and we can leave with our guns.

Unlike America, 1 mass shooting at a school was enough to ban hand guns and it hasn't happened since. The Hungerford incident was enough to get rid of semi-automatic rifles etc. America still tolerates mass shootings because any nutcase can get hold of an assault weapon and or, an automatic pistol. I had my fill of guns in the Military. Guess some have a John Wayne.

@@TheArmedExile No they aren't easy. My Dad was fairly good, Infantry WWII but some of those Vets are amazingly quick. Good video👍🏻

UK gun laws are way better. Very difficult to own a gun which is good.

@TheArmedExile don't get me wrong, I think guns are cool, particularly classic designs. But enabling any old dumb arse to have one is not good for anyone. I'd forgo my right to own a gun to ensure they don't easily get into the wrong hands.

People don’t get shot here often at all. In that most important way, our laws are very successful.

I should also add that with the current state of politics in the UK, one can only wonder how many "Real Brit" would want to have a gun right now for peace of mind??
Why not state the reason these guns were banned. The shootings that lead to the banning. The death of the children. The politicians did more than thoughts and prayers.

I actually think the UK laws are very reasonable. Once you have your firearms license you've got a lot of choice for sport shooting and hunting (neither of which you would need a semi-auto rifle for), and I feel much safer in the UK now that guns are such a rare sight.

You have some good points here. But remember it was the conservatives that banned most handguns and center fire rifles. The Labour Party just finished the job banning 22 handguns!

@@tommartin6384 That’s true but the anti gun people will never stop. You have already lost centerfire semi auto rifles and handguns what’s next? Have you read what the gun control network would like, by the time they are done you will not have much left.

I’m not anti gun, I’m just pro-control But wrap it anyway you want, they’re weapons made to do one thing. And that deserves regulation. @@tommartin6384 I am originally from the UK and l had an FAC and Shotguns there. Handguns were banned and l had to hand in mine, sad truth is one by one guns get banned. I agree you have to have laws but they should not ban something because of one person. I used handguns for target shooting and it was fun, l do the same here in the USA. The moral of the story is one ban leads to another one, they banned machine guns, then semi autos, then handguns. There are some in the UK that say that’s okay as l can keep my shotgun. Well that’s okay until they get banned too. This is a great conversation we are having and it’s good to agree to disagree. Thank you for all of your replies.

@@TheArmedExile But you wanted to make a repro of bakelite, didn't you ? Visualy, this is not too bad for the texture look, but about the colour, once more, you're wrong ! Have you ever seen bakelite ? Red/brown colour and nothing else (see a VZ58 gun, as an example). At the end, in my opinion, a black colour (if you consider it existed on MP40, like for the Walther P38 handgrip...) is certainly better than a bad bakelite repro (and much easier to get) !!!

You need a license to point your fingers in a gun shape and then a separate license to be able to shout bang! bang! In uk… unless your finger is under 2 joules energy then your good to go👍

So a handful of people can possess firearms and the rest of us cannot own firearms. Basically what the states says who can have firearms . Crazy country Britain is . But we sell weapons to the rest of the world . Go figure !

That stock looks great, could you please let me know the mame and model? I'm seriously considering giving my AK-V 9MM the SBR treatment.
The PSA stock adapter and side folder mechanism comes from Stormwerkz and the stock is made by Circle 10. I modified a AK47 rear stock sling swivel by cutting off one side of it and rounding the edges to mount my sling.

Great video! I have a small problem with my MP40. The shoulder rest got stuck doesn't move. It stays out when I want to collapse it the stuck collapses but the resting part don't move. I tried to unscrew and screw it back in but I couldn't make it work. If you have a solution for that, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Thank you, they can be very tight and mine sometimes sticks too. I would disassemble it and add a spot of grease to the detent and see if that helps. It did with mine, the more it’s moved the better it gets. Let me know how you get on. If you’re still having issues l would also reach out to ATI.
