Hi. My name is Maclain Drucker. My Channel is about me going from a newbie rider/racer to becoming a pro-racer someday. I started riding when I was 3 years old. My first motorcycle had training wheels because I was too little and could not reach the ground to keep the bike balanced and upright. It didn't take me long and I was ready to race when I was 4 years old. I first raced in Galesburg, IL at GMC. It was a flat track race. I started out on a PW50. I'm very lucky that my Dad knows a lot about motorcycles. He keeps my bikes running great. He's my main pit crew chief and mechanic. One of my goals is to obtain sponsorship from like-minded individuals and businesses to help with the expenses of racing so I can reach my 1st goal - to become a Pro-racer. If I don't race, I don't know if I can reach my 1st goal. My videos are organized by year.
I have a new nickname. My pit area was struck by lightning down at Neoga, Memorial Day weekend. Guess!

Had some glitches today in my riding. I know what is happening, so that's a plus in getting the cobwebs worked out. By the end of the day I have a pretty good handle on what I need to get done. The operative word is 'work, work, work'. Keep the faith.

2nd day of races back since I broke my shoulder MX'ing. Still have the pins in it. They should be coming out soon. Had some glitches today in my riding. I know what is happening, so that's a plus in getting the cobwebs worked out. By the end of the day I have a pretty good handle on what I need to get done. The operative word is 'work, work, work'. Another day of competitive racing practice done. We were going to race 2 days but I have decided to not do tomorrows race. Instead, I am going to do some training and skill practice the rest of the weekend. So, Dad and I headed home after my last race. I'll see you all again in one week down in Missouri.

Inconsistancy. If thats what this looks like then try racing all day without brakes. Thought I did ok until I didn't, considering my brake rotor problem. That get off into the hay bales during practice was just the beginning. Running too wide into a turn - no brakes - made me an easy target to pass. It just went downhill from there. There is always another race. So, onto the next.

Keep moving forward. That's the plan. Trying to improve something every race weekend. Not sure what I actually improved on this weekend but will have a better idea once I have reviewed and critiqued these videos. Racing and watching yourself race gives a different perspective to what you think is happening on track.

Great lines thru corners. Just seems like, from my armchair, a couple teeth higher on rear sprocket to take care of them pulling you out of the corners. good luck to you!!

The first motorcycle racing my Dad got me involved in 1975 was TT racing at the Lake Elsinore TT track which was located on the Riverside County landfill property off of what is now the I15. From there I moved into motocross racing at Rawhide Park, Carlsbad Raceway, Saddleback Park, DeAnza Cycle Park until 1979

Practice your starts and you will be winning your races
Try apexing the corners. Steer the from wheel in the corner get a straight drive coming out of the corners.
You are riding the wrong lines. You are not fast enough to run the outside. But keep practicing

What F/R sprockets were you running on the 250? using 2nd or 3rd gear? Trying to get in the ballpark for a small track
