Celestial Astronomy is a very interesting subject if understood in a correct way. The teachers are responsible in a big way to make it interesting or otherwise. Even the non mariners might find this subject interesting. Capt. S.S. Chaudhari, who has been teaching the subject for last 30 years, works on this series of videos to share his knowledge and motivate the young marines. Capt. Chaudhari in this video explains about a longitude sight taken in respect of Moon.

thanks a lot sir its very good explanation easy to understand
Excellent Sir,thank you.
Sir why can't we apply three point bearing to more than one object?
I am from Dehradun
Sir my son is want to take tution from you for the phase I ana II. Kaise contact karu. Aap tution pdate hai ki Nehi. Please reply.
It went wrong in 2nd ,ie 6*4 =24, instead took 12
Thank you so much captn saab very cleared the concept and doubts. Thanks alot
Wel understood .
Sir what if we want it for a date other than a spring or neap tide day
thank you🎉
Thank you sir for the wonderful explanation 😍
Sir, In books it is written that their celestial longitudes of a body or Sun will be same for Conjunction, My question is: Is there are other things which will be same during Conjunction or opposition, If yes then what are they???
sir , thanks for the videos . they are quite helpful, however i cant find video 91 to 93 in this playlist.
Please find the following links: Video 91: ruclips.net/video/KPtiIx8_GI8/видео.html Video 92: ruclips.net/video/1J8hk14tVbg/видео.html Video 93: ruclips.net/video/NLKq_jbc9NE/видео.html Thanks
If target true bearing is 38 and ship heading is 350 then target relative bearing is 53 not 48
nicely explained sir. thank you
Sir please upload the video for unfavorable current in this case😢
Please suggest some reference books for York Antwerp rules and General Average act??
Very helpful video sir ❤
SIR, IN INTACT STABILITY CODE FORMULA GIVEN, INSTEAD OF 0.02 IT IS GIVEN AS 0.2 WHICH ONE IS RIGHT? 1/50 SHOULD BE 0.02. WHY IT IS GIVEN 0.2? TIA
SIR, THANKS FOR THE INFORMATIVE VIDEO. HAVE A QUERRY !! DOES MASTER IS AUTHORISED TO EXTRACT FINE FROM CREW FOR ANY OFFENCES THEY HAD DONE. IF YES WHICH MS ACT SECTION SAYS AUTHORISE MASTER FOR SAME AND WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO DO IT? KINDLY ASSIST
I wish u could have taught me in pre sea and second mates ... Such an intellectual person you are. ❤
Sir my name is akshay......loved ur class....can u help me with magnetism lecture tuition would love to learn from you and clear my concepts else it is becoming very difficult to visualise
Great video sir
Sir i have 1 doubt, In some question where it is mentioned even keel Summer draft with hog/sag, and similarly another question it is mentioned maximum draft SW (TROPICAL ZONE), in both cases, when to take displacement and when to take draft?
Sir keep making videos, it will help learning easy.
Perfectly explained sir
Awesome Phenomenon Thanks a lot for the Wonderful Explanation Sir
Thanks a Lot Sir Videos are Really Helpful.🙏
Thanks a lot sir had a very Hard time Understanding This. Now i have Clarity. 🙏
Hi sir we are facing question in orals like what is the minimum GM and maximum GM of container ship? Can you please advise on this. I am not able to find answer of this question. I will be very thankful for this..
I found that increment for gha to be 13deg 42.7min And declination of moon is north
in orals asked who will provide details of notary ?? the candidate replied the agent wil provide all details but surveyor said it is wrong. Please reply
What a mervelous explanation sir . I bet no where else one could get such a conceptual understanding other than watching your video .. we are so fortunate enough
nice explanation sir
Great sir
Love From Bangladesh🇧🇩 sir
Sir it would be of a great help if you just simplify the sight taking methods which we usually taking onbaord . Like these days we having 2-2 GPS DGPS onbaord and brg from gyro and how we can take proper care for eliminating the errors with sextant while taking sight observation. I firmly blv no one in this world could have explain complex astronomical calculations and concept in a simpler way other than you sir. Very much excited and awwaiting for the sextant video
Thanks. I will try making such video.
why to multiply midship draft by 6 in mean of mean draft?
to give more weightage to the mid part of the ship rather than forward & aft. The ship's form is more full in middle.
@@capt.s.s.chaudhari5181 🙏🙏🙏
Clearly understood .. Thank you sir .. Sir expecting a proper demonstration Video on Sextant
Sir is this a Intact stability criteria specially for container ships, request if you can provide source for special criteria for container ships
Intact stability code 2008. Container ship more than 100m or ships with the large flare.
Nice explanation
Thanks and welcome
Thanks
For damage stability calculation at any point of time among the two methods any one can be considered ?
To satisfy damage stability criteria, IMO uses constant displacement method.
@@capt.s.s.chaudhari5181 thank you sir
No one could explain this concept better than you sir ... Extremely Satisfied .. You are very kind to us.. all these videos are nothing more than blessing for us.
Thanks for the good words @snehasishpadhi1490
Absolutely Fantastic Concpet
perfectly demonstrated
Excellent Explaination sir .. BTW i have once doubt .. While calculating Wet Area why the Area for column of water (Sounding pipe) was negleted?
Because the effect of height makes all the difference. So, because of theorem of parallel axis and the slight difference in denominator by slight more area will not make any much difference.
Fabulous Explaination sir
Supurb Explanantion ......
