Last year on a visit here I asked the boy if he liked the yellow or the grey ones best... he pointed out that they’re all yellow on one side and grey on the other 🤦♂️ I thought there were two versions of the livery 😂 These trains have been awesome. They make lovely noises!

I like how that Shinkansen jingle sounds like a harpsichord which is one of the instruments that the British used a lot and to make things better,the British were the ones who also invented locomotives which that jingle suits it too

Whenever I travel within the UK I usually do it by train so the view at 9 minutes is "I'm home". Lucky enough to have been there in the last years of "The Hull Executive" when it was a Deltic - the last regular service they provided before withdrawal. Found out how to get into the sheds at Botanic Gardens & cabbed a few late at night. They used to leave them ticking over all night rather than shutting them down then having to start the bugger the next morning for the first service about 7 going back to KX. They left the in-cab heating & the cab lights on!!!
