Testing Buff City Soap: Hey Headache
I love the scents of Buff City Soap's shaving soaps. Very Slick, but their shaving soaps are very dry and lather poorly.
But, Buff City Soap has other very rich soaps that make much better shave soaps.. They just aren't sold as shave soaps for some reason.
This one is their "Hey Headache" bar. Very rich in oils, lathers beautifully. Provides a full fluffy lather that will hold hair away from skin, perfect for shaving. At the time of upload, this scent is sold out but they have other scents with what looks like the same ingredients listed.
I can't possibly exaggerate how nice it is to start my day with shave soap that has a scent that wakes you up. More import than a cup of coffee....

How to Hold a Shaving Mug

Exactly like you would hold a bowl. Palm and fingers support the weight. Use your thumb to hook over the Knob for a slip proof grip. Trying to hold the knob as if its a handle isn't just funny looking, you can drop your ceramic mug and hurt yourself. Stay safe.

Seems simple enough to make maybe should try my hand at it
yup. Single cut into the blanket. Sew the top of the slit to reinforce. Sew at least the two new corners created at the bottom of the slit to prevent the trim from fraying. Pretty much done. All the rest is whatever style you want to wear it.
Did you stich the hem yourself? If so what stitch did you use?
@@michaelm24_7 nothing really to stitch. Orange hem is straight from Amazon. Single straight slit. 3 places to reinforce. The 2 new corners where the hem was cut and 1 where the neck stresses the slit.

Just a large wool blanket. Single cut. Pretty sure I got it on Amazon for about $20ish

Its not just the razor. He has pubic hairs for a beard. Not coarse at all. Any razor will mow that down.
Thanks for that… the point was that because of the open comb, the razor doesn’t get clogged with the hair as it would easily clog bar guards or cartridge razors. Hair was soaked with hot towel, so yes every razor will definitely mow through easily but only a straight razor or an open comb won’t get clogged with long hair.
where did youg et a wool blanket that long, most blankets never get that long
Amazon. Originally planned on making two small ones out of it but this worked out well

You are too kind, but it’s honestly just a large wool blanket with a single cut. Only stitched the top of the cut to keep my neck from deepening the cut. Just showing that full size blanket is more versatile with how many ways you can wear it. It’s lacking all the bells and whistles because I primarily want to retain its use as a large blanket.

What razor is that and what blade ? Great shave
It’s Merkur 41c Head. Modeled after a classic 1904 chrome open-comb DE Safety Razor. Handle is from the Gillette Heritage Razor. The Heritage head is better suited to a daily shave, but open combs are more clog resistant.. especially effective with long hair. For this length of hair, any “open-comb” design should get you similar results. Blade is a Derby brand replacement blade that cost about 10 cents.
