Her name is Jessica Linnebach. She would later be one of Zukerman’s students, a founding member of the Zukerman Chamber Players, and is now Associate Concertmaster of the National Arts Center Orchestra in Canada. Also does solo work. She seems like Exhibit A for why when a great violinist (or violist) like Zukerman makes what seems like a crazy suggestion in a masterclass or other teaching situation, you ought to try it out. She also studied with Aaron Roland, Jaime Laredo, and Ida Kavafian while she was at Curtis as one of the youngest kids ever admitted.

Is it me or is it weird? Seems to slow down and speed up mechanically, but as an approximation of the way it is sung, leaves much to be desired. I gave up. Beautiful orchestral sound, but unusable for me, sorry.
