Is Rich Paul quietly reshaping the entire NBA??
Zion was always an overrated player, his peak would've been a worse Blake Griffin. He's smaller, fatter and slower than Blake... He can't shoot and has no technique outside of dunking and his athleticism really only matters around the rim.
so,he is smart he knows his cealing, and he is milking $
Struggles? He got the money and dont care...fools around millking it
Maybe cuz he took a position, not qualified, as Head Coach, didnt earn, cuz his Boi, podcast buddy, pulled strings. Arrogant. Disrespect Champion coach, and has the🏀⚽'s to BLAME SHIFT HIS AND THE WHOLE NBA'S FAILURES ON COMMENTATORS. LOOK AROUND. LAKERS ARE A CIRCUS LEAD BY LAFLOPS the Clown 🤡.
💡
So their logic is, if you were not a phenomenal player, you don't get to make any negative remarks? Ok, then; that would mean for Barkley, everyone below him should not make any comment on the state of the NBA, especially negatively. Even fans, too. After all, what do we know about the reality of basketball? Reddick is on a dangerous quest to expose the true undermining factors that make the recent game suffer. And when he sets off to make constructive criticism, the opposition disregards his opinions by making mockery of his legacy and attacking his character. To me, NBA has begun its downfall, and they will wave their fists at everyone else till the moment ship completely sinks, blaming everyone else but their own until the last moment. Reddick has proven his point; he should move on and let the ship sink.
Not quite check what jj said again and how they responded
The vast majority of NBA coaches, some of the best to ever coach, weren't especially great players. One doesn't need a hall of fame career to teach good basketball, so the arguments about JJ's modest career is just convenient fodder for the uninformed. In fact, often times in sports the best coaches are the ones who didn't have all of the raw talent in the world, they had to really refine their game, technique, understanding, etc. Some of the best players of all time who had all the raw talent in the world often make pretty bad coaches, GM's, etc. JJ's coaching and criticisms of today's NBA are a separate issue and can be critiqued on their own merits. I personally think JJ has a very high IQ for the game, and it was reflected in his podcasts when discussing teams and strategy. It's hard to know how to qualify his coaching considering this is the first coaching job he's had and considering the LA environment between the larger-than-life star he has and the media market. Even though he's always come off extremely arrogant, his basketball IQ runs circles around most people he's interacted with.
It's a lot easier to sound like you have a high basketball IQ when you're not actually on the floor playing. It's pretty evident that his "high basketball IQ" did not impact games or win championships the way the NBA Legends (Plumbers and Firemen) he is critiquing did. The peak of his basketball career was in college and he has the gaul to discredit the NBA Legends who paved the way for him to have a career that he did. I don't dislike JJ Reddick, but I'd say the discourse around him is absolutely fair.
Check what jj said and if you still believe then I’m the pope

Anayltics didn't save baseball. That sport is losing viewership. It's hilarious how people think the only reason why Oakland won was because of analytics. They also knew how to draft properly. Watch Moneyball. You'll come away thinking the reason that team won was because of David Justice, Chad Bradford, and Scott Hatteberg. The truth is they were still LOADED with young talent. Eric Chavez, Miguel Tejada, Jermaine Dye, Terrence Long. That doesn't even count the starting rotation of of Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder, and Barry Zito with Billy Koch closing. In fact Tejada won MVP with Zito winning the Cy Young both in 2003. Eric Chavez also was a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger in that same season. Analytics aren't doing anything but making sports boring.
One reason ratings are down is because you get screwed betting on the NBA so much. Starters sitting out entire fourth quarter so they don't reach their prop bet numbers. It happens a lot. I stopped betting on the NBA so I also stopped watching.
This is one of the reasons I almost stopped watching also. We made a video on this last year. Thank you for watching!

A lotta bigs could shoot back in the day. At least decent middies. Russell, Wilt, Kareem, etc. Shaq got a pass for a lack of skill cause of how well he used his size. He was physically dominant, not skill-wise.
Mid range doesnt count as shooting ability. This isnt the weak 90s
I didn’t watch back then. I used to look at KG, Dirk, Duncan, Jermaine O’Neal and Bosh
None of them could shoot nearly on the level of Jokic. Please tell me how many of those players averaged 80% from the free throw line because THAT'S LITERALLY SHOOTING THE BALL. Of you can't shoot free throws when nobody is guarding you, how can you shoot mid-range shots or threes? Hakeem averaged around 70% from the free throw line in his career, Kareem averaged around 60+%, Shaq averaged 54-55%, Wilt same thing amd other best big men averaged 70% at their best and of course, none of them never even thought about taking threes per game. Not only that Jokic averages 83% from the free throw line in his career which is miles better than all of them, he scores much more efficient from mid-range in his career than all those players and that's on more attempts per game. Jokic literally averaged 54% from mid-range in 2023 I think and this season if I'm not wrong his mid-range is 53%. Hakeem was never even close to being that efficient from mid-range and he was better shooter than all centers from past. And I'm sorry, but Jokic is averaging 36% from 3 point range on 3 attempts per game in his career, these players don't take even 1 three per game and they average around 17-20% from deep at their best😂😂soo nah man... Those centers weren't 20% as great shooters as Jokic, Embiid, Towns and Davis are. Not just that, but even Giannis is hitting mid-range shots this year better than them, even he became more lethal from distance this season than all these players in their prime and he isn't even shooter in todays NBA, isn't known as a guy who can shoot.
Because Jokić is the best.. Obviously..❤
Yea, he’s special for sure
Good video
best in the league
Analytics also made Baseball boring to watch, so much so MLB has had to put new rules in place to combat them. They turned the game into walks homeruns and strikeout it was boring AF.

Harden can still score bunch of points but not on a regular basis anymore just flashes of his old self. He's 35 give him a break if he is slowing down but still finding ways to be productive and carry a team. People got duped by the media. Hey remember when kobe, Lebron, and Wade traveled so much they had to change the travel rule in 2009 to allow an extra step. The NBA released a statement going into detail on why they couldn't call Harden moves a travel according to the 2009 rule change. People tend to skip this part. I like how people are against load manage in the regular season. Yet bash Harden for balling in the regular season during his prime. While skipping other teams who will load manage and skip games. Spurs started the modern load management. That's the spurs "playoff secret". That was the whole point of CP3 after 2017. Gregg Popovich had more than Kawhi to work with. Funny how no spur fans will mention their entire roster that year. When Harden had CP3 Chris couldn't even play 60 games. Funny how people skip the part where Lamarcus Aldridge had the best playoff series in his entire career. Dwight was playing the least games and minutes during this part of his career. Keep in mind Dwight Howard played in more games with Kobe than in any season he did with Harden. Let alone having prime shaq. Kyrie played only three seasons with at least 70 regular season games. Yes you heard that right, only three. Funny to watch casual who obviously don't watch the game year in and year out get amazed by Kyrie. What has Kawhi done outside the loaded spurs or a Toronto team that was already 60 wins before he joined them. What about how Harden had to play without Joel embiid at one point against both Boston and Miami. Yet hey let's skip all of this. Hey remember when Kobe hit people in the head and neck area when defended well on drives. Harden is a cleaner version of Kobe. It's adorable to see Harden haters say "because of the refs". When they let kobe get away with that dirty style of play when he couldn't get past his defenders. LeBron, Derek Fisher, Manu, Reggie Miller, Danny Ainge, and Vlade are examples of real flopping. Do you remember Lebron flopping in Miami. Heck LeBron was flopping during timouts. When you're getting steals in the passing lane (leaving your man open) more than getting steals off your own defensive assignment. You put the team defense in a bind. This is not the same as other players who straight up defend their own man consistently. He got on those teams out of popularity rather than his defense. Even Phil Jackson said dont be fooled by kobe defensive team selections. Just to put it into perspective. Hakeem dominated the era of the centers. Shaq "dominated" the era of the power forward. Huge difference. Spurs second leading scorer (Derek Anderson) was injured during game one against the mavs in 2001. This was their biggest threat in the west in 2001. Sure hope Shaq and Kobe can defeat 6' 0" Iverson. Kinda says alot to how weak that run really is. Iverson got bailed out against the bucks. Shaq and Kobe got bailed out in 2002 as well. Can you even call this a legitimate threepeat let alone a back to back? Cute. What happened in 2004? What happened to kobe after he ran Shaq and Phil off? Right. Nothing. Kobe even missed the playoffs during his prime. In his prime. It took three players to replace Shaq in Odom, Gasol, and Andrew Bynum. While Phil Jackson returned. The Rockets took kobe to game 7 in 2009. Keep in mind Tmac missed the entire series while Yao missed half the series. Plus game 7 of 2010 is another example of kobe bricking and getting bailed out. Yet this is suppose to save kobe from the shaq talk? Rhetorical question. Hey remember when warriors kept fouling Rockets to keep them from breaking another three point record. They even had Draymond Green commit flagrant foul on the Rockets. This was around 2013. "but but but they missed all those 3's in 2018". Cute, the "greatest of all time" warriors couldn't even win back to back at the time. Hey remember when spur fans claimed Bruce Bowen wasn't dirty. He injured other teams top stars multiple times doing this. Kinda ironic Zaza from the warriors used the Bowen move on Kawhi and injured him in 2017. Warriors resorted to doing the same in 2018 game 7. Some of those missed threes were straight up fouls. Keep in mind even with the difference in the roster and last resort Bruce Bowen moves. Warriors won by only 9 points. Warriors are far from "the greatest of all time". With all due respect. Warriors have never won a champ without injuries to their opponents top two players. Glass ankle curry couldn't even win FMVP until half the league was injured. Cute. Before KD warriors had no back to back. Guess they didn't believe in curry like they claimed. Kinda funny to see curry fans bash KD for his overrated ring. When curry shares the same overrated ring. They're trying to cut the finger to save the hand. Hey remember when LeBron and KD blamed the old Rockets for joining superteams in their 20s. Drexler and Charles didn't even join Hakeem until after a decade in the league. LeBron beat only one 50 win team up to 2010. That was a Detroit Piston who didn't even have Ben Wallace. They choked 2011 so bad people tend to forget spurs choked to an eight seed in the first round the same year. What's next? His fake 2020 bubble champ that was clearly handed to him? Please enlighten. LeBron didn't copy Jordan. LeBron copied kobe selfishness and the Spurs load management tactics. I even remember an interview where kobe admitted he was playing less than the 80s and 90s players by using load management. Yes prime kobe actually admitted this. Only to pretend otherwise years later. "Black mamba" was a self proclaimed nickname. It wasn't given to kobe. That's the same as lebron fans calling lebron the goat just because he said so. All the load management during the 2000s. They're the ones who started the "regular season don't matter but I'll still take the fans money while our players sit out". All the superteams getting exposed when "playoffs matter" during the 2010s. Adorable.

nba didnt changed the rules ..there is no extra step...they just changed the words and like always some kids cant read well so they just read the 1st part of the rule...the refs allow travelling and carrying and palming because they want to sell that NBA has a lot of points
NBA didnt change the rules on traveling...STOP LYING...he did travel..they were just not calling it
IMAGEN thinking a player who normally shoots 35%FG and gets 4 turnovers is good...boy you probably just look at the POINTS STATS ahahahah
Actually 39%fg, the best on -off the court of the team, very high defensively rating, the most on and off the court be double. The question is if he is washed why nba coachs still double him and the clippers keep winning over 50%
@Steventsang113 39% is medíocre 🤣 só is his amount of turnovers..and One of the worst defenders in the NBA ..but you keep lying proving you dont understand that defence rating isnt a real stat..is team winning because its a team game..team winning because NBA wants Clippers new arena on the play-offs..thats why all the weak games they have against bad teams he gets a lot of FTA
@Steventsang113 NBA Gave him 1 assist on the game vs Memphis without him touching the ball and another phantom assist...the same way they Gave Westbrook 2 rebounds without touching the ball... Harden/ LeBron/ Westbrook all marketing players who get a lot of fake STATS
@@onlyfacts3178 Have you seen Kobe and Wade? Don't be so gullible kid
Have you seen Kobe and Wade? Don't be so gullible. They couldn't stay on the floor or were missing the playoffs during this part of their careers. They were getting saved or carried in their prime while Harden was carrying or getting robbed by the ref and league during his prime.
FACTS that PROVE that you are wrong: 29 games; ONLY 3 good games 🤣🤣🤣 15 mediocre games...🤣 15 games with 5 or more TURNOVERS 5 games over 7 TURNOVERS 15 games with 9 or more FTA ASSISTS now are inflated so someone with 5 TURNOVERS should have at least 15 assists to make it a good game HE is SUPER INEFICIENT ; only 3 games over 50% FG And before you say that shooting 47% is a good game, normally it is..but he was just stat padding since his team lost by 32 points and he kept playing to get 19/9/8 uncontested rebounds and 5 turnovers thats not a good game when your team loses by 32 points And against DENVER he was also not good since he got 13 of his points from FT and some of them werent even fouls..he shoot 15 times from 3 point line and shoot a total of 26 times , 11 assists but half of them arent real assists just basic passes to 3 point shooters and also got 5 turnovers...
who in the NBA gets 15 assists a game regularly? Hardens efficiency is down no doubt. The clippers are trying to use lots of younger guys and those guys are not used to him or his offensive philosophy. Harden is 35 and cannot be the #1 option, powell is a great option at #2 but they have no real #1 guy without Kawi. Great players create space for other great players when they play team ball. Harden is playing that team ball trying to get youngsters involved and moving on attack. The cost will be turnovers and opposing defenses keying on harden means he gets the most double teams on the team. This allows him to find guys like powell who are open. I know opposing teams see a pass going to powell wide open at the 3 point line and its got to be a nasty feeling since he is hitting 47%. WHen/if kawi comes back the whole dynamic changes, teams will be fearful of his deadly effiency on 3 levels. This will set harden free of many ofl those double teams. As far as what you thiink isnt a foul, cant help you there as to what you think you see. Sounds like you had your mind made of of what you could possibly see. The goal is team chemistry and health going into the playoffs. THey are 18-13 and it looks like kawi may be back in a week. Hardens most important job is not ppg or fantasy stats, its keeping young players aggressively involved and devekoping that chemistry. So far it looks like its going well, exceeding all expectations. I rhink a key is that rotation players play harder more consistently when they are involved in a team offense.
Haters will always hate😂
@@thomasblank2353not to mention he is literally the only real ball handler we have on the team if I was opposing defenses I would def pressure him to get the ball out of his hand simple. He’s just a man he can’t dribble through 5 ppl all night lol 🤷🏾♂️ are we not watching the games? He’s settling the offense allowing us to get in sets to score that’s his job. When we get stuck he is to score that’s it. At 35 no one else is asked to do this much and when they are what is there record as the only star?
@@EJFields yeah there is that.
HARDEN WAS NEVER GOOD HE isnt a playmaker just someone with a huge usage rate who doesnt create real assists just makes passes who now on this ERA count as assists. HE is not efficient NBA allows him to travel and he was throwing himself against defenders FLOPPING thats why he got that MVP because teams couldnt guard someone who was allowed to break the rules and still get 10 FTA
Everything yall criticized James Harden for. The 2000s or the superteams of 2010s actually did. Hey remember when kobe, Lebron, and Wade traveled so much they had to change the travel rule in 2009 to allow an extra step. The NBA released a statement going into detail on why they couldn't call Harden moves a travel according to the 2009 rule change. People tend to skip this part. Harden never choked with a roster like prime Kobe had in 2004. Prime Curry in 2016. Prime LeBron in 2011. Harden never choked to an eighth seed in the first round like the spurs did. Yall don't even know what choking is anymore. Spurs started the modern load management. That's the spurs "playoff secret". I remember an interview where kobe admitted he was playing less than the 80s and 90s players by using load management. Adorable.
This is the worst assessment I have ever read
Im sure you can manage a little hater fanclub, but the data and other players say otherwise. Harden was 25ppg 11asst and 55% FGs against the celtics in the playoffs his first year with the nets. This was head to head against marcus smart an all defender that year. They crush the celtics with jayson tatum and jalen brown etc and Harden gets hurt the next playoff game vs the bucks, kyrie goes down and the nets fall. Harden/Embiid was the top pick and roll in offensive efficiency in the NBA after he went to the 76ers. they were a terrible transition defense team and that determined their fate. After 76ers traded harden, that 76er pick and roll efficiency fell off quite a bit even with Doc Rivers and embiid still there. And maxey took over the pG position and his FG% dropped 5% from 3. Playing the head of the snake will get you some defensive attention. Look at Tyrese haliburton this year, they said he was the best PG last year now shooting FGs down 5%. Im sure he sees lots of defenders on that team. Players that surround the star are a lot more important than fans think. How is stephon curry doing? 17 shots to deliver 22 points(44% FG's not getting many FT's), Harden is 17 for 21.9 points. They are all having down years, night be they are seeing tougher defense due to the players that they share the floor with.
@@King_Kunta i just saw HARDEN having a game with 2 assists that he didnt even touch the ball..go and search for memphis game
@@JamesHardenoverKobe13 i have watch 5 decades of basketball... AND ERAS 80s and 90s are basically the same with a few changes. Then 2004 - 2015 2016 THE SMALL BALL TANKING ERA With NBA wanting so bad to inflate stats .. And now after 2021 a new ERA of 3s
Hes still washed
People like u get no where in life 💯
Oakland before Moneyball = 9 🏆 Oakland after Moneyball = 0 🏆 And now the team doesn't even exist anymore so it was all a total failure.
I agree
Jerry Buss had a better balance between steak and sizzle.

Interesting how a cities character and history can be reflected in their sports teams.
the nba need to add Fiba & Olympic rules to help the game change
they think it's not entertaining enough
@ which is insane because the ratings for those games was extremely high and even better than the NBA ratings
PG was always at best a number 2 option after his leg injury because if we look at tatum he what people thought pg could be plus we need to stop miss-casting player there are different tiers of playe; PG has always been an Tier 2 Player All-NBA Tiers of Players: Tier 1: MVP/SuperStar Ex: Jokic & Tatum Tier 2: All-Nba Ex: Brunson / Sabonis All-Star Ex: Garland / Bam / A.Gordon Role Player/Starter Ex: Herb J/ MPJ Bench Players edit: real reason PG left indian because Griffin wanted to team up together but pacers didn't to make that trade so he left
I love your perspective! They would've had to give up too much to get Griffin
@ thank you and I feel like if people could agree on there's tears of players it would make people have better expectations for them edit: very true so they ended up just removing Paul George, which is an easier move for them
I'm so sick and tired of hearing how today's NBA player is so elite compared to the 80s and 90s. Give me a break. These guys today fucking jog up and down the floor. They don't rotate on defense. They chuck up 3s and get wide open dunks because no one plays real defense. They don't sprint on defense. They whine and cry about every call. I despise the NBA.
Straight cardio...pick and pop, drive dish 3...literally all game
Bring back hand checking and defensive screens and watch how fast all that 3 point shooting changes. When you cant put a hand on guy or screen on defense you cant keep these guys from getting open.
they will cry too much if they bring back hand checking
i just had a conversation with my dad about how the nba sucks now.. it started to go bad around 2016.. the media sucks lebron dick all day and night.. the players damn near have more control den the coaches the fundamentals and chess game is not there anymore, the players stay injured. and its too many games. reduce da games to at least 60 max 45 at minimum because u still have playoffs so u will end up playing around 82 games anyway. and its not comepetive no more like tim hardaway sed is more of a contest
Give back fresh 24 second shot clocks for rebounds to let teams play slower and at own pace without having to jack a three.... NBA made a rule to stop teams from resetting offense after a board. This change alone has ruined the watchability & purity of the NBA.
I agree! Everything feels so rushed
Baseball is garbage with Analytics. A starting pitcher never goes deep Into games. I don’t think enough research was done here. MLB fans hate analytics.
The main focus wasn’t on MLB it was geared towards the NBA.. thanks for watching
@ I believe this is the dark ages of sports. Interesting to see what comes in future of sports.
bros had a goof START to the season….. relax
They changed the shot clock rule that's why they scoring so much
He was not traded to Philly he was sign in free agent
Good catch
A league that gave Zion 200 million to sit on the couch and eat nachos no wonder it sucks
😂
Lamello ball barely ever plays. I don’t think he’s going to have a good career when he plays less than half of the games EVERY season
Yea he definitely have to stay healthy
bring back defense...rule changing went too far, turned it into finesse
Facts!
I don’t like the play in garbage. There were too many teams in the playoffs before and then they added the play in which waters down the regular season. The in season tournament is lane too. They changed the game too much for the worse. All because a commissioner wants to leave a legacy.
Its so bad..I can’t believe this is how it is now
I can’t believe people actually went along with play in or in season torny its embarrassing as hell
Alonzo Mourning, David Robinson, Karl Malone and Shaq were so massive and jacked... no one today can compare to their fitness level and strength.
