Amazing piece. I was rather disappointed by the later symphonies, but this one was truly an exception. Perhaps his struggles after the stroke allowed him to produce more profound material?

Damn, I believe a lot that Rachmaninov got very inspired by the start of second part of this piece in the begining of his concerto no, after the introduction, when the theme begins with the orchestra and is repeated by the piano. Don't you notice too the very close writing method on the sheet? Almost a plagia lol.
