Being that it's a Japanese car I will bet that it's a JIS and not a "Phillips". If you use a phillips you;ll probably strip it.

Dang what do you do if the adjustment screws don't change anything. I got a headlight pointed to the left pretty far. Can't see any accident damage though. Guess I gotta take it off and check underneath.

my car the beam levels on the wall got like 3 different levels, lowest from left and 2 levels to the right. so which one do I go with for 2 inches below? and is it the same for both HIDs?

Thanks very much for this video. An easy job when you have seen how to do it, although something Subaru didn't seem to be able to get right on my car! My MY08 doesn't have the in car adjustment switch though and readjusts automatically from the level of the car. Do you know if this is a change '08 to '11 or a US/Canada only thing (my car is Oz spec).

IMPORTANT TIP -- for some reason the screwdriver thing doesn't work - you must use the plastic nuts as described in this great video. For my 2013, both were 8mm. Thanks.

Thanks very much for creating such a clear instructional video. It helped. The procedure on a 2009 Impreza without self-leveling headlights is very similar, but you don't have to do anything about the wiper fluid reservoir because it is not directly in the way, and the adjustment bolt on the passenger side is 10mm, while that on the driver side is 8mm. The two plastic tabs holding the air duct down just pull out with a little force instead of being unscrewed. Another possible difference is that one bolt per headlight appears to adjust both the high and low beams. Perhaps there is a separate high beam adjustment, but I did not see it (or need it.)

Won't this procedure also change the angle of the high-beams because it is inside of the same headlight assembly?

I think the brake pads ended up getting quite tapered which was terrible for brake feel too. I hear the HC+800 pads should be more resistant to fade than the DS2500. Also, new pads are a lot thicker and that should do more to insulate the brake fluid from the heat

no, 08's-13's dont come with HID's. You can either buy a shitty ebay kit(which i wouldnt recommend, or go here....the retrofit source dot com, 370 bucks shipped. I have a set on my 09 wrx sedan, and let me tell you, they are brighter than oem sti HID's.hope i helped:)

Do you possibility know if those headlight housings are made for HIDs? I have the 08 WRX not sure if it came stock with HIDs. I looked on the web and it said it would be better to get a retrofit before I did a HID install for the headlights.

I have a second set of wheels with winter tires, the car is all stock otherwise. I wouldnt mind an exhaust but its my daily driver and I need some quiet/comfort. I have a nice Integra Type-R with a spoon exhaust for when I need some noise

I just had it clamped around the headrest hole. You can do the same angle by reclining the passenger seat down and place your GoPro suction mount on the rear passenger window

do you use all season tires or swap out? also are u thinking of intake/exhaust/tune?

My 2011WRX doesn't have the manual headlights leveling system, i mean i don't have those numbered wheel near the steering wheel. It is fully automatic self leveling headlight system. is it safe to change the head lights height? because when i try to move it using screwdriver, it is like a bit hard. i'm afraid it will void the warranty in doing so, or maybe even break the headlight itself. advice pls..... :(
