I REFUSE to act my age! This channel is about an old, tired, wore out auto mechanic that is now retired. Instead of working most of the time, I now only have to work about half the time. The other half of the time I play. See the playlist for some of the stuff I do. So many interests, so little time. Beware of stinkin thinkin. It will wear you down.
V177 More Monarch Butterflys

Took the motorhome for another exercise drive and wound up at another part of the river. It took some hard bushwacking but I made it to the water. I found some huge pieces of coal and a whole lot of thornes.
V169 Old Motorhome has One more leak
Просмотров 2102 месяца назад
It took long enough but I'm pretty sure there are no more leaks. It has been in a few good rains and so far it's stayed dry. This is a 1975 TEC motorhome. The model is LARK. It is build on a 1975 Ford E350 Camper Special chassis. It has a 460 CID engine and a C6 transmission. It is a pre-emissions vehicle. It's 21 feet, bumper to bumper. I bought it in Sept 1991 and used it occasionally for abo...

I saw a Monarch Butterfly a few days ago. That means it's time to help mother nature. Clean and setup the enclosure. Find and relocate newly hatched caterpillers to a safer place. Keep them well feed. Watch them grow. All to watch them fly away.
V166 Metal Detecting Land & Creek
Просмотров 2773 месяца назад
It's gotten a little to hot to metal detect on land lately. So the Whites Spectra V3i gets a rest and the Garrett AT Max gets wet. Air temperature in the sun is 95*. Water temperature is a cool 75*. A great way to spend a stinken hot muggy afternoon.
V165 Troy Built Tuffy Tiller gets Harbor Freight Engine
Просмотров 3864 месяца назад
I bought this tiller in 93. The engine has always been a problem. This year was the worst. I managed to keep it going long enough to till the lower half of the garden. The next day, it would not start. Hardly any compression. I started looking for a parts source and could not find one. Looking for another engine and Harbor Freight shows up. Predator Engines 79cc. So far, so good.
V164 Fix Snapon Tool Box KR1000A
Просмотров 5444 месяца назад
The detents that keep the drawers closed on this tool box wear out easy and need to be replaced often. Last time I used the gray stiff ones. They made the drawers hard to open but didn't last any longer than the ones I went back to using. Part # 8-88SWRK (Black color). I still need to do something about the bottom drawer not staying closed.

I've been looking for this water leak for a very long time. Now that I've seen it happen several times I still find it hard to believe. Water can go up hill. I used Geocel ProFlex sealant to stop it.

V148 Wildlife Trail Camera in the Middle Field
Don’t test bears. Leave them alone to pass through. It’s the safest and kindest.
Nice muddy hunt... Interesting.. Nice to see you having fun in a dirt :) Keep on filming and posting! Big support from new friends and followers, a metal detecting couple from southern Europe!
I'm watching during Milton hurricane 🌀 in Florida.. watched all the videos with the old motorhome, great work.
Bottom drawer slide has a roller that is used for detent which is plastic and breaks.
So what's the fix?
@@rankelkam-YT You have to replace the slides.
Is the rear axle a 4.10 ratio?
Yes it is. Dana 70 4.10
@@rankelkam-YT Okay thanks. I have a 1982 Ford econoline motorhome with Dana 61 with 4.10's,the motorhome is a little smaller than yours, only has a single rear wheel axle, unlike the normal duals. I'm looking into a overdrive unit as it's too dangerous to run the Interstates or risk blowing up the engine trying to not get run over.
Let me know if you find an overdrive unit.
@@rankelkam-YT Trying to find a used one,but no luck, however did find one but the seller wouldn't sell it as he wanted the vehicle(junk motorhome that had it on it)sold whole. They can be bought new from a company well known called Gear Vender, that's been selling them for years. They are expensive these days, for the C6 it's about $3600 bucks plus getting the driveshaft shortened and that's doing the labor yourself, although it's a simple install. I hate to spend that kind of money but my motorhome definitely needs it,especially with the price of fuel in our wonderful commonwealth state of Pennsylvania.
Amazing for your of V171 Head back home. Motorhome is doing good. I love your video and Thanks for sharing.🥰
You're welcome. More to come.
What happened to the video quality? Something else to figure out.
Run
My luck I would've walked right into the nest and ran away screaming.

Ok
Will not ruin machine ?
It's been over a year. Everything works as it should.
@@rankelkam-YT thank you sir!
That’s a good looking box, I always wondered what holds them in, I have a older sears craftsman toolbox I have been working on
I watched you rebuild this motor home you did an awesome job I enjoyed every minute of each video great job on the video
Thanks. Still have 1 more small leak to fix.

Looks amazing, great work!
Здравствуйте, извините пожалуйста,но сначала нужно помыть всё с хлоркой!
Watched all the videos on the rehab of the motorhome, very nice job. I have a 1982 Ford I just bought from out west that was restored as well. Happy travel to you and remember, "Keep your nose to the wind and your eyes upon the skyline."- Del Gue(Jeremiah Johnson)
1911-1903 very nice great job!!!
Nice find. Could have bought something for a nickel back then. Happy Easter :D
You’re working too hard
Thank you for such a great and thorough video! Awesome job!
Thanks
Great video! Any insights on how safe this device is in hot summers ? I'm a bit concerned about the lithium ion battery catching fire in extreme temperatures ?
If you don't trust lithium ion don't use them. I'm using Duracell Alkaline.
Love the design on motorhome . Wonderful video,
Thanks. Did you look at any of the other motorhome videos ?
Great video😊
Thank you 😁
Happy birthday sir

Very nice Good job
It would be easier if Garmin sold license plate brackets sold separately
Hope you are doing better with your eyes
One is getting better and the other is is not
I think you should make more videos of the camper thanks
Have you seen all the motorhome videos?
It's not a wolf spider, it's a fishing spider, which is a type of nursery web spider. Nursery web spiders are hunting spiders and they only build a web to house their young, hence the web full of baby spiders that you're looking at. Wolf spiders carry their babies on their back.
Thank You for the correction.
Funny story, I was taking a shower; in my area wolf spiders are prominent, they would get into the house and hang around the entrances and exits of my home. I'm not sure how one got in - I'm assuming a vent - but it climbed onto the towel I was using to dry myself and as I put it on to use I felt a felt harry something that wasn't a towel rub against my belly. Twas the scariest event in my life.
Damn man. Where do you live? Here in Virginia our world spiders are half that size and they still huge.
Pennsylvania, near Appalachian trail and Little gap
It's a fishing spider, which is a nursery web spider. They are hunting spiders that only build a web to house their babies. Wolf spiders carry their babies on their backs. These types of fishing spiders are typically larger than most wolf spiders, they're one of the largest true spiders in North America.
In 1995 that spider ate my cat.😮
Big spider guarding her baby
The version you need is the shorts vs. standard links. Ref F01827. Theses are smaller in length. thanks
good luck getting it to eat normal cat food now. Unless it has a steady diet of shrimp.
very old cat should be an indoor for retirement
They might be a indoor and outdoor cat, some older cats likely love a bit of fresh air but not adventuring very far from home, it all depends upon the cat personalty, a cat who use to live two doors down from me, had a wide area of wondering, while his brother always tended to stay close to home!
Can't wait to see this again 5 years from now with 10million views
Aww she's a beautiful cat.
That's a really great cat
That's a great cat right there.
I have no idea why I'm here but 0:10 the purr engine Pun totally intended
oh poor girl!!! what a beautiful coat Pancake! 😍🥰
What a sweet innocent creature
Where did you get the repair kit? Cant find it anywhere
EBAY search term Whites 802-7150
There is a company in Oregon, Centerville Electronics that has some still. They have a website. Selling at $13. I don’t see any reason that you couldn’t make this work with a few local off the shelf items. .
That’s a nice crotal bell well done
Thanks. I have found nicer bells. Look at some of the older metal detecting videos in the play list.
