Looking good. Hey brother I hope yall made it through the storm safely.
Thanks. The weather was fine yesterday. Little wind and rain. All clear by 11am
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 that’s good to know. A lot of people in bad shape that way. I feel for everyone
Do the whole thing, prime/paint don’t waste tumbler/degreaser also put it on wipe it off , don’t let it sit it soften everything up not what u want
We do wipe it off. We don't let it sit. We do this to sight the car and make sure we catch everything we may have missed.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 old auto body guy teach me Better way, cloth or even a paper towel under ur fingers fold it into square leave car dry and you will feel everything , takes practice but It is best way
@diablo3894 yeah I have done that before also. But sighting it like this will get the finer ripples as the car will be going black.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 do u guys long board it
@diablo3894 we use all kinds of boards. Not just a longbboard.
1/4 panel is not done missed big az dent
That's why we sight the car with wax and grease remover. So we can make sure we get all the wiggles we may have missed with the dry blocking.
Awesome
@MichaelScudder72 thanks so much.came out nice for a driver.
Love it. The color looks good on it
I had left over paint from my 65 Malibu so I decided to have matching cars.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 definitely need a side by side when you are done.
Again. Going the extra mile. Wet sanding the primer to look for anything you don't like.
@MichaelScudder72 for sure. Which is why we use black primer for the darker colors. Can really see the smallest ripples.
That thing is gonna look so good!
@@MichaelScudder72 for something I wasn't going to do anything to. Lol
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 car people can't leave well enough alone LOL
That is gorgeous!!!
Another flawless one
Thanks so much. We like how it came out and loving the color. Can't wait to start putting it together and get the rest painted.
Them lines looking good my man. Can’t wait till the the finished product.
@paulw2727 thank you so very much.
Love the color
@tomwilson7113 thank you it's called courage red. Over black.
Very nice!
@MichaelScudder72 thanks so much man.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 great color, work ethic, attention to detail.
@MichaelScudder72 thank you sir. We do our best on every job. It's the details that make every job.
Cars coming along good. Did you use a single stage on the jams? And if so what brand of paint and code? Thanks.
@@dodge73dart base clear on everything. Although this color can have a white base or a black base under the red. To make it lighter or darker. It's tamco paint. It's almost like a candy.
Getting closer !!!
@@Big_mike1972 that for sure. Just need to get that hood on and sand it with 400 and the 600.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 yes sir. I’m ready to see it together.
The no rain rails make it look so much smoother
Beautiful
Thank you
Can’t wait to see it together!!
Same here. I need to do the radiator support and hood hinges then I can put it back together.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 won’t be long. Man I would love to come by your shop and see your work first hand.
@@Big_mike1972 anytime
It’s attention to details like this that make a difference!!
@Big_mike1972 we will blow it out a few more times before we paint.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 I figured you would. That right there is taking pride in your work and sir you do because it really shows in the finished product
Don't sand blast...also warps metal, even if you can't see it...use ice
Good lord
@MichaelScudder72 yeah there was a ton.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 almost like you need a rotisserie that moves it non stop like whole chicken and air blowing.
@@MichaelScudder72 thats for sure. i have been doing that with the cuda we have.
One sweet shop truck!!!
@@MichaelScudder72 yeah got out of hand.
Good tune also. What's under the hood
nothing yet. not sure what the customer is putting in it.
Can’t wait to see it finished
@@Big_mike1972 the customer will do the mechanical work and other stuff. I am almost done with what I need to do to it.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 oh ok. Thanks for letting me know. It’s been a pleasure watching you work on this project
Sweet
@@peteragersea377 thank you so much.
Whole car looks great ..
@MichaelScudder72 thanks bud. She's coming out nice for sure.
That is a beautiful blue
@MichaelScudder72 yeah I really like that blue.
God damn I wish my 70 ss fathom blue chevelle looked that good
@ryanaustin1970 Thanks so much. just takes time and patience.
That looks AWESOME!!!! Under the hood looks great.
Oh hell yeah
We love that shine.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 and that's the UNDERSIDE!!!
@MichaelScudder72 yes sir.
Better than the factory for sure!!! Can’t wait to see it together
She's coming along. She's shiney.
I had a 78 Pontiac Lemans when I was 18!! Memories...
@joshuamac6302 that's sweet I had a 70 Lemans then I sold it for a more reliable car. 😒
@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 🤣😅 I believe you!! I had the same issue. Traded the engine out which was a 383 stroker to a friend for a 350 crate engine. On his way to his shop, the cars exhaust had backfired and it went to flames right on the road in front of the house!! 🤣🫠😮💨 Im still pissed about it all 😂🤣😅
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 😂🤣😅
That song is like pissing in the soup.
@@Daniel-x5m8f hahaha. 🥄 enjoy
Yellow
That yell car has made so much progress since you took it in.
This video has 3 cars in it. The #bumblebee #Chevelle the fathom blue chevelle and the #cutlass
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 the courage red on the Cutlass is Kim's favorite. The blue Chevelle with white stripes in mine
First car I owned was a 79 Trans Am paint code 29 nocturne blue metallic. Blues kick ass
The music ruins the vid.
hit mute then
@@MichaelScudder72 thx, but I don't take orders from trolls.
@@Daniel-x5m8f Start your own musclecar restoration channel and play whatever fucking music you want.
@@MichaelScudder72 once again, I don't orders from trolls. If you can't handle criticism maybe don't post on social media.
I'm sorry you didn't like my choice of music for the video. But freedom of speech is what makes me proud to be an American.
Beautiful
Can’t wait to see some color on it
Attention to detail.
You guys stay busy. Can't wait to see that back in color. Is it going back Yellow?
@MichaelScudder72 no it's going black with silver or white stripes with a read pinstripe.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 Nice. Red pinstripe would look great around silver stripes.
My wife loves old cars. Her first car was a 69 Camaro. She asked if we could come down next Friday, see your shop and talk about us bringing the Dart GTS down.
@@MichaelScudder72 come on down.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 We'll see you the Friday the 9th in the morning. I know you said you start early every day.
@@MichaelScudder72 Friday the 9th is perfect. I'm there at 630am
Beautiful !!!
@MichaelScudder72 thank you so much.
Sweet !!!
Looks great!!! Absolutely a master of your craft sir.
Thank you so much. We love wetsanding and buffing
That Mopar is gonna look so good
@@MichaelScudder72 thanks. I really like 70-74 cudas. My favorite is a 71 cuda
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 I'll have to finish the GTS Dart and sell my 2005 GTO to afford an E-body LOL. Those are high dollar even as projects.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 I do have a couple questions though. When I bring my Dart GTS to you, do you want it the way it is now with doors hood and deck lid installed? Also leave reveal moulding clips for front and rear glass inor take them out? My new glass seals came with new clips
@MichaelScudder72 just the way it is will be fine. I'll get the panels all fit
Beautiful work. Beautiful color too
Looks absolutely great!!! Can’t wait to see it all together. You do so much quality work in your shop. Glad you’re right here in North Carolina!!
Awesome!
Stuff like this just makes the build look so much better.
@Big_mike1972 yes sir. Just trying to make it better tan before. Make the customer happy.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 oh for sure on both counts
Wow. A lot of work on that car too. I remember your first videos of when it came to your shop
Nice. That's attention to detail
@MichaelScudder72 it was a mess when we got.it. Just had to fix some stuff. Now we can start rolling on it.
@@harringtonclassiccarrestor8674 you are doing a lot of C10s. People love those trucks and a lot of body shops probably wouldn't fix stuff like you do. "Nobody is gonna see that" and they'll cover it with filler or fiberglass
The car is beautiful but the song playing is awesome!
@stevenbradford5682 thanks so much. And we love this song also.
Slick!!
