Welcome!
We are David & Twyla and we have been RVing for over 30 years now and are happy to be able to share our RV life and travel adventures with you.
This channel is dedicated to everything RVing, RV lifestyle, product reviews and of course we will be sharing with you our travels, adventures and the sights and places we visit.
Both of us growing up and living in the Pacific Northwest of the United States has made us grow tired of wet and cold weather. So the name, “Seeking 70 Degrees” is alluding to us always seeking to be in 70 degree’ish or warmer weather throughout our travels. We know that this will not always happen but we will continue to seek it anyway.
So come along with us on our adventures and see what we see and experience what we experience.
Be sure to SUBSCRIBE so you will see when we post any new videos.
Thank you for stopping by and maybe we will see you on the road sometime.
Blessings to you,
David & Twyla

your basic "tourist trap"
Back in the 70's my grandparents lived in Winthrop, I so loathed and hated that drive form Port Angeles Washington. I'd give anything to now do it again, I miss them so much!
Thanks for the tour! Liberty Orchards makes my favorite candies, and I've always wanted to know how they did it. I don't live near Cashmere, WA, but if I'm ever in the area, I hope to visit and buy as much as I can from the gift shop. The stores near me stock only a couple varieties.
You are so welcome! I am glad you enjoyed the video, we had a fun time that day. Thank you for your comments, we love to hear from our viewers. We should be back on the road again this spring and summer and have some more great places for you to see.
Enjoyed the minutes…thanks. Great Springtime stills…nice panorama. To overlay Spring Pic.s, you would find equally impressive late September to mid-October at sunsetting…all the glow of early Fall Plus the “wheat stubble effect”. At one point, there was a fine multi-story hotel at the top of Steptoe Butte…early last century, wooden structure, men-in-suits/ women in ruffled high collar white long sleeve tops and black skirts. Washington State Historical website and some focused searching and voila’ . (Phil from Spokane)
Pretty fair assessment of our town. By the way, Methow is pronounced Met.. how, not Methow. North Cascade is the most beautiful pass in the state with the White pass highway a very close second. Be safe in your travels and God Bless 🙏🙏.
Pronounced MET-How, the h is silent.
It's pronounced MET-HOW
My grandparents lived in Twisp. June and Harrison streets are named for them. I remember sitting on their front steps and watching the smoke jumper planes flying by to fires.
i wish you'd panned into some of the stores, into the bank, into anything but the straight sidewalk view of things you were talking about. i kept getting cool glimpses of buildings out of the corner of my eye but you wouldn't pan over to them. not sure why. perhaps in the future you could take that into consideration.
That was a nice quick trip Through the town and back, but you really didn't show us much. Not even the inside of a single building.
What's the winter weather like there or the weather in general?
@PBAB17 Dec-Jan are the coldest months. The high is 58 deg f the low is 38 deg f. Average of 46 deg f. Usually, there is no snow.
Try hwy 12 from Kennewick to Kalotus. Top of the world views.
At Chimacum a great place to eat is the Chimacum Cafe. Nothing fancy but great food.
@@MichaelJohnson-td1me Thanks for the great tip!
It was a far better before a commercialized western theme town. I feel lucky to have experienced it before the north cascade highway and the population explosion. It used to be awesome there!!!
I'll bet it was quite a town to visit back in the day! Thanks for sharing.
@@seeking70degreesoh no that’s
It reminds me of Knotts BerryFarm/Disney. Not appealing. Sorry for the residents.
unremarkable place really...pretty cheesy
TOTAL waste of video .
The town is a western theme town..one of two eastern cascades towns.. That are theme towns. The other one is Leavenworth which is a Bavarian theme town..☺️👍
You would think this would be a conservative town but it's full of liberal j hawks from Seattle and has a big population of square britches blue hair types . Old schoolhouse brewery and 3 finger jacks both have good food.
To me the town has changed, there use to be a guy that called himself Lep (short for Leprechaun) He looked like one and he owned a brewery, great beer. Three Fingers Jack use to be a bit wild had some wild times there but it got bought out and was changed to a mostly a restaurant family friendly no more wild parties.
Where do all the leprechauns of the world live? Thats what I want to know...
i've never seen a longer bar than in jacks.
Cute town! Reminds me of where I live, in Sisters, Or!
You live in a beautiful area.
@ thx
Hi, I'm a local and just wanted to inform you that the pronunciation of Methow is Met-how, not Meth-ow. Now ya know. 😊
@emilymcd1977 Thanks for the info on the correct pronunciation!
2/3rds of Washington, to the east is dry.
Been there
wonderful place. I have volunteered there 5 times over many years. even in the winter! Highly recommend for EVERYONE.
LIKE 3 🎉🎉🎉
Sorry but the music was not needed lol...
A long time ago as kids we would swim in the lower parts that got sealed up, Nasty water.
If the stores don't open until 11, why didn't you just wait 90 minutes to start your video tour?
Unfortunately, we were just passing through on a longer trip and did not have the time to wait for more stores to open. Sometimes it is a toss up in this town as it can become extremely busy and we have to ask ourselves, is it better to miss some of the stores being open or is it better to be able to show the town without a huge crowd. Thanks for your comment, we love to hear from our viewers.
I need to get over there and have some chicken schnitzel and some spatzle.
İ live in Bothell seattle
awesome
Thank you
Thank you for the nice comment, we love to hear from our viewers. It does get hot and busy there in the summer for sure. We were lucky to get such nice weather this early in the year. I didn’t see any evidence of fire around the town, so not really sure how close they were. Looking forward to sharing more adventures with everyone.
Thank you for the tour! I made the mistake of visiting there during the summer. It was SO hot. Made walking about miserable. But it is a very sweet and lovely town. I was surprised to see it looking so good! I thought there was a bad fire out there a while ago. Thank you for all the adventures your provide to us! You are both awesome! Watching from Whidbey Island WA🐋
I love Whidbey, I am in in Winthrop. 102 tomorrow!
Thank you for posting his. I am heading down there for a couple of days at the end of May. This has definitely helped in my planning. Cheers.
Randy, we are so glad you found our video helpful! Safe travels on your trip there in May. Thanks for commenting, we love to hear from our viewers!
Great video I grew up there hope you enjoyed your visit:)
Thanks Pauline, we had a great time there, it's so beautiful. Thanks for commenting, it fun to read comments from our viewers.
Jim and I went to the falls a couple years ago. Very pretty area, we even saw some wild turkeys in the picnic area!
What’s the weather like there at the end of April? How far is Canada from there?
The weather can be hit and miss this time a year but usually no snow, just rain. The Canadian border is literally a few miles away.
Thank you for showing us Fort Casey. I live in Anacortes. The last time I visited Fort Casey there were no message boards or entry into many of the rooms you went into. Can’t wait to go back! Have you been to the Price Sculpture Forest there in Coupeville? Beautiful and free to see! Cool sculptures etc. There is also an indigenous peoples museum by the wharf in Coupeville. Lots of history..free and very interesting! Also, you were in Anacortes? Have you ever been to the top of Mt. Erie on a sunny day? The view rivals the one on Orcas Island. Thank you for your lovely videos!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We were also surprised to see the reader boards, it was much more informative than when we have visited in the past. I read on their website that they were gifted $50,000 for upgrades to the lighthouse as well, so that will be nice to see the next time we visit. Regarding the Price Sculpture Garden, yes, we have visited there in the past. We ran out of time on the day we were on the island to go and see it , but we would like to return in the near future and hopefully can a video as well. I have not heard about the other locations you mentioned but will try to check them out the next time we are on the island. Thank you again for watching our video's and for the comments, we really love to hear our from our viewers.
I was there back in July 2021. However, due to my poor health, I was not able to get out and walk around. My adult daughter did. She really liked it. But from the parking lot, I had no idea how much that complex was spread out. So thinking you for the tour of the place.
Your so welcome, I am so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting, we love to hear from our viewers.
The bunkers look the same at Ft. Monroe in Hampton, VA - just so cool how they're all so similar!
I’m sorry we have a 2516 S
Me and my husband enjoy your videos. We have the same RV the 2016 S Rockwood mini light I was wondering can you do an update on your RV and how you guys like traveling with it any issues with it love to hear it. Thank you so much.
Rene, thank you for watching, we are glad you enjoy them. We have a few new trips planned in the upcoming months and we most definitely will share how we are liking our 2516s. Just to give you a little insight, we love it. It has plenty of space and storage. So far the longest we have been in our 2516s nonstop is a month and a half. It would be very doable as a full time living rig. I would say our biggest issue is, it has so much storage I am always afraid we are overloading it, but I guess that's a nice problem to have. We will be doing a Harvest Host hop in the next few months so we will be able to see how it handles boondocking with our solar set up and the 12v fridge. (2 190w solar panels on the roof and 2 6v golf cart batteries with 1,000 watt inverter), so stay tuned for more on this. Thanks again for your comments. we always love to hear from our viewers.
Live in the area so y'all needed to show the info boards at the boat launch you started at and at the museum. The schools are all in a line right by the sheriff's office, there's also a elementary school in Idaho on the hill. We also have motorcycle and lawn mower drag races next to dollar tree by the bridge. Also fun fact Newport has the only stop light in pend oreille county.
Thanks for the interesting info and thanks for commenting, we love to hear from our viewers.
Which side of the road is TT on? N or S
It is on the north side.
@@seeking70degrees thanks, we are going that way in August so now I know to come in on the south side of town to make it easier
Watch out Ladies... Cottonwood Arizona Police like to ASSAULT Women.
Yo that's where I live, my mom is actually on the City council
I didn't see any of this when I was there in 2008. Must be new.
We really had to search around for things to do and see, there's not much to see or do in Yuma. The prison became a state park and opened to the public on January 1st 1961. Thanks for sharing!
Invigorating
In the Women's section of the old territorial prison at Deer Lodge, Mt. the one cell has no bunk, just a galvanized 1-1/2 inch iron pipe mounted about 4 feet at one end to stand at the upper end, and about a foot at the lower end to lay down, they would cuff them to the rail with the chain running behind the pipe. In the (dark room) if You shut the door as was always done, You can not see Your hand in front of Your face. Like being in an underground mine with no light ✋🏿 Yup❗ G-G.
Wow! Scarry. I would not want to do time there. Thanks for sharing.
Oatman is on my list of places I want to visit, Thank you for sharing your adventure.
You are very welcome! We are glad you enjoyed the video, it was a fun day for us.
