Hymas Homestead Garden Tour Fall 24
Started this video/project in September and have finally finished it in mid November. Lots of work goes into our garden but its a labor of love. Already looking forward to next grow season.

We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel on the big remodel at Hymas Homestead. The plan is move in the end of next week baring no big hiccups. Both Andrea and i are so over living in a trailer and shop in the front yard.

Lots of stuff is starting to happen and things are coming back together. Starting to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This update the sheetrock is finished, windows are in, LVP floors are in. The next 2-3 days they will be working on siding. So exciting!

In this video you can see what the Hymas Homestead looked like when we first bought the fixer upper. I am pretty amazed at all the changes we have made in the first year of ownership. This 1969 day light ranch is getting a face lift, tummy tuck, and lots of enhancements.

The remodel is coming along and the project manager says once the sheetrock is complete things will pick up pace. Windows and front door deliver next week and Andi and I are painting the interior most likely next weekend. So expect big changes in the next few weekly updates.

This video isn't even a week later then the last one. When sheetrock starts it goes fast! Note to anyone having sheetrock done get rid of absolutely anything that you dont want sheet rocked over. I think they were a little to early in the schedule as there is still things that need to be addressed before they can finish and get inspection passed. This a quick tour of my pepper garden for 2023 at the new place. Next year should look better as i need to figure out a better weed control solution (maybe a barrier of some kind). I noticed my plants in the buckets are looking yellow so fertilized yesterday as well. Hopefully they will green back up. With that being said we are getting close to the end of the season for peppers here in PNW.

It's been about a month since i last did a update video on the Hymas Homestead remodel. Our GC has made a lot of progress but most of it is not visible. Sorry for the low light conditions, I will mount a light next time if its needed. I sure miss fiber internet upload speeds.

Thanks, it took about 6 months. We lived in the front yard in our trailer and shop. Doable and an adventure but nothing i want to do again anytime soon. Now that we are back in it was so worth it, loving it. Feels more like our home now. Thanks for the comment and view.

I haven't tried kapia paprika yet. Is leutchauer the other one you are growing? I've grown it a few times and am growing it this year. I want to make some more smoked paprika power this year. Wish I had grown more paprikas though. Tap de Corti is a good paprika if you haven't tried that one yet. If you want to trade some seeds, let me know. :)
Hi Paula would love to trade some seeds. It is leutchauer and kapria I am growing. They both produce really well and that’s why I am growing them as well for smoked paprika powder.

@@Ripx510 our home was in a fire in April so we are kind of doing a remodel too but I want property too! Hoping after this house is updated we can get enough for it to the. Find property
@@hikingadventureswithshanba1365 sorry to hear about your house and fire. I have lived in SW Washington my entire life and have never seen wildfires like this before. We were in zone 3 for a bit when that fire broke out near larch mountain last year. Same with air quality. Keep looking for property and it will pop up when you least expect it.
