That moment when an older technology becomes magical in and of itself. Plus what a splendid cast.

I just watched "Alice [Něco z Alenky] (1988)" from Svankmayer, and i was dropped here. Interesting, funny and strange in the same time.

Brilliantly done, following the story for the most part (though I did miss the part where she travels with the fawn, both not knowing the other's name, which would have fit nicely right where it belonged, between her talk with the train-insect and Tweedlede and Tweedledum, but that is just my own aesthetic), and doing it beautifully. Thanks for posting.
