Part 2. A test of The Army Painter colours with airbrush. I wanted to see if I could use the translucency of some of the colours as an advantage when using a heavy preshade with Airbrush. In conclusion, I have already used their washes and metal paints for a while, but I have grown really fond of the normal Warpaint colours. Всё хорошо, но почему стволы не сверлены?
I was lazy :(
i absolutely love the infantry. any tips on how to do it in a similar way?
What did you use for the base I love it
I know this is a old video but I absolutely love that armour colour. Got a recipe?
using this for my ultramarine army! quick but still looking great
This is one of the best tutorials for painting Blood Bowl miniatures! Since I bought a Nurgle team, I watched every step of your video over and over. Awesome! It's a real pity that there are no more Blood Bowl tutorials from you so far. I hope that one day more teams will be painted by you in a tutorial 🤘🏾
Dry rust?
The Army Painter Effect Paint. Thinned down to use it like a wash :)
What a beautiful army, bravo!
Thank you :)
Gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
That's a beautiful color scheme/execution. I love the absolutely filthy, ancient and battered and bloody look you gave them.
Thank you :)
Please make a tutorial 🙏🙏🙏
Awesome channel. I think you deserve way more views! Did you check PromoSM?!? You should use it to promote your videos!
Great work. What Basecoat did you use?
Thank you. I actually think I used brain matter beige from TAP :)
Great work my friend : D
Thank you 😊
nice paint job!... what is the name of the song mate?
I can't remember the title, but was found on a website for free music for videos :)
how fast does the tamiya extra thin cement dry cause i am gonna use them for building the 1/700 scale aircrafts ???
Almost instantly. Faster than superglue.
You deserve more subs mate - great tutorial!
Thanks a lot :)
Amazing
Thank you :)
OMG this army is awesome! Is there any chance you do some tutorials for the vehicles and infantry? The new codex is close and i guess it would help a bunch guys out there 😀
Thanks a lot :) Yes, I would love to do some tutorials on the models, but it will be a bit later, as I have just moved apartment to get closer to a new job :)
@@coltaupainting1588 Looking forward to see them! Good luck with the new job 👍
@@kaffeebohne1332 thanks - you can follow the stuff I do at my new work at The Army Painter - I work as a studio painter / terrain builder :)
@@coltaupainting1588 Sounds like a cool job 👌. Using also a bunch of army painter stuff
Brilliant demo, thanks
Top notch job! Any chance you might list the paint scheme?
Thank you :) To be honest, I can't remember det exact colours, but I'll see if I can make you a recipe :)
@@coltaupainting1588 thanks! Looking forward to it!
Hello, I love these marines, is it possible to buy/order one please ?
Write to me on Facebook, and we will find a way :) (facebook: Coltau Painting)
So beautiful
아름답다
The colors reminded me of Scorch from Titanfall
I just googled it, and yeah I agree :)
How did you get that shine in the armor?
Gloss varnish over Schmincke inks. If you want to use decals, a gloss varnish works wonders :)
@@coltaupainting1588 Thanks! I actually have some gloss Vallejo varnish... Can I use that in airbrush? Also since you are here - any tips on the weathering? :))
@@toxendon yes you can definitely use Vallejo Gloss Varnish in an airbrush. Make sure to turn up the pressure a bit. I use mine at 3 bars. If it won't spray evenly, just mix in a bit of water. My favorite weathering techniques are sponging (covered in one of my latest videos on my Imperial fist marines) and pigments. When using sponging for chipping, make sure to use airbrush colours or dilute them a bit.
@@coltaupainting1588 Thanks man!
@@toxendon np :)
Amazing painting. Was this a comission or is it for your own force? I also use mostly AP paints as well :)
Thank you :) This was done just to make the video, and afterwards I sold it to sponsor the next project :)
Du får det altid til at se så let ud, men sandheden er at du bare er mega dygtig! En fornøjelse at se dine videoer.
Tusind tak for det Simon!
Great result. Points I noticed, 1st the soundtrack aint great, a commentary would be better. 2nd, if you have a camera on your hands, clean under your nails dude.
Thank you for your input :)
Stunning result but I just love how you can see from the first seconds that Elven Flesh doesn't cover propperly. I guess he needed to go like 4 times over the heads before the skin color actually became covering.
Yeah, the elven flesh dont cover that well in the first go - But I also dip my brush in water before I dip it in paint, so most of the time I do 2 coats on every colour. Because its diluted a bit, it's a lot easier to apply the coats, and it gives a more even suprface for washes and filters :) The elven flesh covered the surface in 2 coats btw ;)
... And thank you so much. I appreciate it :)
Very nicelyainted simplemand effective
Thank you :)
Excellent work, nice to see the weathering process. The greenish shades works well with the yellow, to keep the colortone cool.
Thank you my friend :)
virkelig fedt arbejde Thomas!
Mange tak Nis :)
Great job bud!
Thank you my friend :)
Decent work!
Thank you :)
Fantastic!! What colors? Vallejo?
Thank you - no, it's pure The Army Painter paints :)
Amazing tutorial for people like me, just getting into miniature painting
How come you chose AP?
For two reasons - I like their colours/tones and I wanted to test them to see how they worked for my style of painting. I still like them and especially with their new airbrush thinner, they work really well with AB :)
just wanted to say thank you for sharing your technique. I noticed your knight searching for inspiration and was drawn by the green tone, so finding this tutorial content was.. just awesome.
Thank you so much Marcus - it's much appreciated! :)
These look great! Thanks for sharing your tips. I really like the greasy pimples, especially on the butt cheeks.
Did you use anything to fix the pigments in place on the base? The whole model looks amazing!
Thank you :) No, I never use anything to fix the pigments - I usually brush most of it off again, and that is enough, even for gaming models.
How
This is amazing. I'm just getting back into Warhammer after 20 years. This video has really inspired me to go with a T'au army. Also your weathering effects really give the model scale. Awesome.
Thank you so much :) I really appreciate it! Good luck with the new army. Tau has some awesome models :)
Thank you for the tutorial, it is very pleasant to see high quality videos without voice explanation, I love your channel, keep the good job 😊👏👏👏
Thank you so much. It means a lot :)
Very nice! I like the weathering effects, most Tau painters don't paint them for some reason. Makes them look too tidy and clean, like in the official paintjobs. (ps. I would like a basing tutorial as well!)
I've got basic weathering effects on the bottom half of my Tau; so nice and shiney on top contrasting with thick jungle base - so it looks like they were just recently dropped in :)
Nice work, beautiful paint job! I think you should overthink making the 'glow' parts with the airbrush, though. You could make them nicer by glazing them with a brush.
Kyrylo Sobolyev thanks a lot - you are absolutely right about the glazing part. The idea was to do a fast army painting paint job, and glazing could be a good addition.
yes please!
Just Wow 😍 the shining blood is amazing !!!!! Can You explain it on a vid pls 🙏🏻 Thx for sharing this 😉✌🏻
_ZiZi_ Rider_ thanks a lot - I’ll gladly do a video at some point, but there’s actually no magic to it - it’s just Citadels “Blood for the blood god” paint :)
Thank You 😉🍺 See ya ✌🏻
They look menacing! I like it. About how long did it take you to paint the Warband? Thank you for sharing the step-by-step guide!
drone9 thank you - it took me about 7 hours to assemble and paint Them :)
Really nice work. Looks good. Just put more chaos marks on it so it can fit it's destiny. Thanks ;)
AirsoftAddicted thank you. About the chaos part... hmmm - I might need a word with the pilot ;)
