Rest in Peace Mr. President.
Much can still be said today, 50 years later we are still dealing with the same issues. In North Carolina they passed a new voters act that totally conflicts Voter right act. We have become comfortable with how things are and fail to see the whole picture.
No one knows for sure, some say it's for the cuban missile crisis, some say CIA, some say Civil Right, it's hard to say, Kennedy pissed off a lot people
Amar Kshetrapal those incidents pissed off a lot of people but were not the reasons he got killed. his secret societies speech and the making of the 2 dollar bill and 5 dollar bills backed by gold and silver. he was trying to take us off the federal reserve, and prevent us from being enslaved for the rest of our lives. btw it is the same reason Lincoln got killed. the civil war just ended, and the central bank's were trying to finance the war by loaning the government the money with 30% interest rate. Lincoln said no thanks I just got done emancipating Afrcian Americans. now why would I want to throw them right back into slavery with all the whites as well. so he printed. greenbacks bonds to finance the war. 5 days after that Ford's theatre they end that problem. they were both truly great men. real hero's in my mind
Wow! What a leader! Love JFK.

Are you f'ing kidding me? I have to watch a 15 second ad to watch a President of the United States make a speech?
What was he killed for?
JFK wasn't killed because of civil rights.
The moon landing didn't happen "because of some idiot" it happened because of JFK.
50 years ago today
When I was a paperboy in the South 1970-1972, I noticed that my African-American customers had portraits displayed in their living rooms side by side of Dr. King and President Kennedy. After watching this video, now I know why.
beautiful. wow. he was the definition of a leader and the definition of a president. that is what makes one proud to be american of true patriotism not war.
What the hell is going on in there haha
Jesus, he is handsome...
I love this man gave his life so I could the same rights as every American
thank you John F Kennedy
Where was this speech done at? Was it in Washington D.C.? (please be specific)
Another part at 4.50: "This is one country. It has become one country because all of us and all the people who came here had an equal chance to develop their talents. We cannot say to ten percent of the population that you can't have that right; that your children cannot have the chance to develop whatever talents they have; that the only way that they are going to get their rights is to go in the street and demonstrate. I think we owe them and we owe ourselves a better country than that."
A great change is at hand, and our task, our obligation, is to make that revolution, that change, peaceful and constructive for all. Those who do nothing are inviting shame, as well as violence. Those who act boldly are recognizing right, as well as reality."
"We face, therefore, a moral crisis as a country and a people. It cannot be met by repressive police action. It cannot be left to increased demonstrations in the streets. It cannot be quieted by token moves or talk. It is a time to act in the Congress, in your State and local legislative body and, above all, in all of our daily lives. It is not enough to pin the blame on others, to say this a problem of one section of the country or another, or deplore the facts that we face.
0:17 there's a section missing: " The fires of frustration and discord are burning in every city, North and South, where legal remedies are not at hand. Redress is sought in the streets, in demonstrations, parades, and protests which create tensions and threaten violence and threaten lives.
69 .is a good ????
call of duty black opsss s2
@StarLite9152 True, they keep getting killed.
@jfkpublicservant Yes,..I sadly concur. I've always believed that this speech was the last straw for the dark side of America. His sacrifice was, well, virtually Christlike, or at least that of a saint/martyr. Jesus knew His time was 'bout up; so, apparently, did Jack.
@jamaicanification what??? JFK was a catholic christian. what's in question????????
@jamaicanification Could you stop the cold war? What if you were president at that time? You could have very easily made the wrong move and boom there goes America? Could you have survived a nuclear winter? Think of everything Kennedy saved us from. Obama is trying to put the pieces of America back together. What would you do if you were him? Think about what you would do in their position before calling the men who represent and run our nation cowards,
well you talk about courageous leadership? Kennedy was called a coward in his time just like obama is being a coward now. People dont seem to realize this and im very suprised. Just like obama, he was called weak on security. Just like obama, he came in with a lot of hope, but then the realities of the presidency kicked in. Just like obama, the conservative right was opposing him on his biggest legislative priority. Just like obama, he was questioned about his religion. history repeating itself
I agree....one of his best in his short Presidency.
i agree.
beautiful speech. things have changed
Thank you for posting! It is interesting to see what the mindset was at that time!
