I would choose to differ my child learnt to say all words from miss Rachel’s baby first words videos
I have to do it tomorrow. Week 36. Have zero idea why i have to do it. I dont want to do it, i have bo symptoms, my blood sugar levels have always been supremly good. Im not swollen, i dont pee alot or drink alot. The only reason they suspect it is because my child is being big. Well all my kids have been big, its because i have pcos (the insulin resistance - males babies larger). Ive had a gastric sleeve surgery, so i feel like with my small stomach i fear the test. I havent gained alot of weight this pregnancy, im not obese, i seriously have no idea why i would need to do the test, im scheduled for a c section in a few weeks anyway.
So UNSAFE!!! Do not do this EVER. There is a reason baby is NOT head down. Your Dr “MAN HANDLING” baby is NOT WISE! Risks: Immediate preterm labor at BEST. Cesarean anyways. At WORST placenta abruption, fetal stress, asphyxia, or still birth. Barbaric procedure! Do NOT do this! My 35 yr old niece is 5 yrs old forever. Brain damage.
Why are you screaming? 😮
@@kellyanne744 😂😭 you are right- I really am loud in some of my videos on here- obviously have not 100% figured out how to use the mic! 😂🫢
If you play speed it at 0.75 it’s more bearable
It's a hard pill to swallow, but necessary
I just had mines at 16 weeks . Is this normal? I’m seeing it being given at 20 something weeks.
Im not getting mine till 28 weeks, it depends on your weight and a few other factors that could put you at a higher risk.
You need sections on your videos
My baby girl has done all the gesture before her 16months ,now she is 16month start to said words like duck ,quack quack oh oh ,Mama papa dada tata , up and down ❤
Says who? Where did u get this information from?
"Hi, my name is Rachel, and Im reading straight from a giant script right in front of my face". Just be natural. This robot ai type stuff is awkward and unnatural. 4:31 - this looks like a 3 year old, not a 15 month old. The gestures you are expecting at 15 and 16 months are so far beyond what kids at that age cana actually do. I haven't seen even a single 16 month do "stinky" or "wait" gestures. That's WAY more advanced than this age. More like 18-24 months. You're talking about serious mensa kids who are ready for college at 10.
I have to disagree. Although my 16-month-old doesn't use thumps up, wait and the peace sign, he is able to do every other sign mentioned. In addition, he is able to use our own sign language for "come here", water, elephants, airplanes, and trains.
I've been going back and forth on packing Lysol wipes for weeks now...thank goodness I'm not crazy!
Will this cause an over supply?

How much walking is involved? Is it primarily a cart tour?
@@davidtheis4065 there is not too much walking involved. It is a very large zoo and the tour guide wants to make sure you see everything so they will drive you from spot to spot and you get out and walk just to see some of the animals. We went with our baby so they also kept the walking more minimal for us. They will adjust the tour to whatever your needs / wants may be!
Genius!! This is so helpful
Also, it's annoying and breeds super whiney children 🙄
Nice rack
It’s not about the taste it’s about the the chemicals. Water, Dextrose (D-glucose; source: Corn), Citric Acid, Natural Flavoring, Food Starch Modified, Glycerol Ester Of Wood Rosin, Brominated Soybean Oil, FD & C Yellow # 6, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, BHA and .10% Sodium Benzoate

Thank you, my daughter and I are doing this in 2 weeks….we are coming from New Jersey…we spent 1420
Thank you for watching- I hope you have an amazing time and your daughter loves it!!😊
My son AND daughter had no screen time growing up....he is absolutely no different from his brother that got screen time.if you interact with your kiddo on the regular TV is NOT going to damage them anymore.than a child who has no interaction!
Im a first time parent, and i never knew screen time was a bad thing intell my son turn 1yr old. Now carry this guilt and shame feeling like im the worst mom and i wish i had someone to tell me about this. Now im trying to not let have screen time as much and make it less time. But im currently pregnant and my bf is working so its hard to having to do stuff while im not there for my son while i clean/ cook/ or take a rest for myself for abit. I read, i draw with him, and i play also go outside with him. I really try my best, and wanna help my son development. I need advice on how i can help my son development.. he knows how do certain things that my doctors is surprised abt. But i make mistakes on my anger and stress, i yell not to do this and that. But im working on talking towards him while he can't because of this and that and why he shouldn't.. and i make mistakes on letting him watch videos while i rest or cook, what should i do instead of letting watch videos? And what should i do if i didnt let him watch his videos but he starts crying or yelling?...
I’m so sorry you feel this way! I hope you can give yourself some grace and kindness - none of us know what we don’t know! We are all learning & figuring this whole parenting thing out as we go! Now that you know it might not be positive for your son to have so much screen time - you can take action- that’s the best we all can hope to do as parents; especially when we learn something new ❤️ it will be hard at first for your son if he is used to screen time (being upset, yelling, expressing himself with big emotions is all normal response to his routine changing- allowing him a safe space to be able to express himself but staying firm in boundaries like “we can be upset but we don’t hit etc” or “I understand how frustrating and different it is not being able to watch __ right now, it’s ok to cry, I’m here, I love you let’s play with ___ instead” or “do you want to play ___ or ___?” ) Start by cutting back a little by little if doing an “all at once change” and cutting screen time all together seems to be too much for either of you! Just think the less screen time he gets in the daythe better. There will always be situations where maybe you or he are sick and it may feel needed. Some days as parents we are in survival mode and it can be a useful tool. We just have to try and stay mindful. It’s really about minimizing the amount of screen time. Coloring with him, talking to him, reading to him, playing with toys with him are all wonderful things to do but they require your time and attention and we all have different capacities for this for many reasons! I get it! Just try to do the best you can do each day- remind yourself/know that each day is a new day and a new opportunity to make a positive change or to try to do a little bit better than the day before. None of us have it all figured out and none of us are perfect. You are doing an amazing job!!!🫶
Also when I’m cooking I love to have my children participate or even play with the water in the kitchen sink to buy myself some time! We have a toddler stool that we love for this exact reason!
This is encouraging. My baby had been head down from about 31/32 weeks, I even had a midwife appointment at 35+5 where the midwife confirmed she was head down. However two days later at my 36 week scan, they discovered she was breech. Couldn’t believe it. Am hoping to have a successful ECV next week if I can’t flip her myself at home! Thank you for sharing 😊
My baby girl as you heard from video did the same at 39 weeks- & I would go through it all over again and again to have her! Best of luck for your ECV procedure next week 🙏🏻🤞- sending you all the positive vibes!!! 💕 thank you for watching!
@@PassableParent thank you for your reply! :)
I’ve noticed that you often mention the mother or other individuals in your discussions, but rarely the father. This observation makes me curious as to why the father’s role seems to be overlooked. Numerous studies highlight the significant negative impact on babies who lack a father figure. Fathers play a crucial role in a child’s development, and it’s important to recognize their contributions.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and for being a valued viewer of Passable Parent. I completely agree that the role of fathers is essential and often overlooked in discussions about child development. Fathers have a significant impact, and it’s crucial to recognize their contributions. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I’ll be sure to create some father-specific videos with tips and insights in the near future. Thanks again for your support!
Thank you for all your suggestion. I love the love every but I can't really afford that $80 every time and then $120 when they become a toddler. It's just too much money for me but I will say I have a 28-year-old and a 20-year-old. My 20-year-old had problems walking and holding a rattler with both hands but when he got 2 years old he was able to button his own shirt. So whatever they cannot do right now or at 6 months at 2 year and he learn how to button his shirt and put on his pants and go to the bathroom on his own. He learned that very fast but walking. I had to help him with that and I had to just let him fall in the grass when he fell. I didn't say anything and by the third day he can walk on his own
Lovevery does have some of their products in target stores now if that is helpful to you! I can totally understand the downside to the reoccurring expense of them and just how expensive everything has become in general! There are lots of similar items to the ones they have in toy kits that you may be able to find elsewhere for less money if you wanted to! I might even make videos showing some ideas I have for this 😊 hope this was helpful and it’s amazing to hear how well all your children are doing - each child is different and each of their developments are also unique 🤍
It's not too loud for a 9 month old?
It was not too loud for our 9 month old! 😊
Is screen time the same with our newborn watching newborn stimulater videos on RUclips on the tv?
Hello- yes the AAP says any screen time including videos like you just mentioned count as screen time with the exception of FaceTime with family/friends! Simple black and white flash cards are recommended for newborns over videos! Like these: amzn.to/3NfvNc8 amzn.to/3wB8kvo Hope this helps 😊
That shirt is fantastic
Helpful video 😅😂❤
Thank you
This clip would be helpful if the dang FAKE nipple was not blurred out... Do yourself a favor and delete and record!
Hi! Did you find your aversion went after pregnancy? Did you experience it with your newborn? I'm 8 months and feeling a lot of aversion and praying it goes after I give birth , otherwise i dont think i could handle breastfeeding.
Yes - for me it went away immediately post partum! I went through the period of “figuring breastfeeding out” with my new baby & getting into our own rhythm with it but the aversion was totally gone! I’m sorry you are having aversions I know how uncomfortable it is! Hang in there ❤️🫶 & best of luck with your new baby!
Do you have to fast before taking this test?
You do not have to fast! It is recommended not to eat anything too heavy 2 hours prior to the test though! 😊
You just blew my mind with that last method. 🤯 Thank you!
From Australia, nice videos!
Thank you for watching! 🤍😊
Thanks. It would be better if you dont just read the screen. :)
OMG Ive been watching your vids and theyre sooo helpful and easy to understand. Im also huge fan of desitin Maximum strength. And i apply it preventively too, many friends say its a bit overkill but its what my own mom told me to do! Funny question though, is desitin like, older? I mean, im from the late 90s, and as I said its what my mom got me, but i dont know if it came out in the 90s or if its been used on older generations. Just curious, haha. Great content, anyway! U got a new subscriber <3
Thank you so much for watching! 🤍According to google it’s been around since way before the 90’s (1920’s I found 🤯) so totally makes sense- fellow 90’s baby! 🙋♀️😂
@@PassableParent Wait so child of the 90s too? Lol. Yup, mom tells me that back then there was only the purple desitin and i even remember seing a rogue tube under the bathroom cabbinet well into my childhood cause we used it for burns cuts heat rash etc. Its good for everything skin related! Heck even with my oldest LO thats already P-trained We struggle a bit sometimes with propper wiping and if we start seeing a bit red, its desitin to the rescue hahaha.
What is the other option for test if you vomit after drinking glucose water everytime
Maybe do the finger blood strip test? It’s what diabetics already do to see their blood sugar, it might help your diagnostic journey.
Nice helpful
I have experienced this with all of my children. It really sucks. Good to find some information about it. It definitely feels like a hormone thing. But i cant help but think there might be more to it such as untreated/unmanaged anxiety and/or depression.
Thank you for sharing your experience! 🤍 I’m sorry it’s something you’ve also gone through!! Many times there can be an underlying cause like you mentioned.
Im having my first baby and my 20 scan is here at the end of April. Thank you for this video as I like knowing what Im in for going to appointments!
Congratulations! That’s so exciting!! It’s definetly one of the most exciting appointments in pregnancy 😊best wishes & Good luck on your scan - thank you for taking the time to watch 🤍
Thank you for your video! Tip: please adjust the volume of the sound, while adjusting the sound for your voice the music is very load. Equal volume would be great

Congratulations that’s so exciting!! I hope the scan went well 🙏🏻 thank you for watching and I wish you both the best of luck on your parenthood journey!
I love nurses with excellent knowledge! Thank you
Hey, I love your video. My baby is so brilliant. But he is not talking as yet. I think I gave him too much Screen time .
I’m so glad you enjoyed this video! It’s never too late to start cutting back on the screen time! I’m sure your baby is brilliant they are little sponges taking in everything and so eager to learn from us! Try starting little by little making small changes in cutting back the screen time & instead playing with him, talking to him, singing him songs and you should start to see him attempting to communicate more with you ❤️
Even push walkers cause baby to lean forward which is not teaching a proper gait
It’s important that push walkers like everything else be used in moderation and in combination with other toys to promote proper development! Push walkers like the ones I talk about in this video can be very motivational and encourage the confidence needed to attempt walking! Thank you for watching!
how about phonics learning without the screen? I'm just playing it as music for my 11 month old child to listen to. Any dangers to that?
There is no scientific evidence that music is harmful to babies other than if it is played too loudly or inappropriate for a young child! Music is great for babies especially children’s songs like “the itsy bitsy spider”, “wheels on the bus”, “head shoulder knees and toes” all of these types of songs you can sing with baby and do hand and body gestures to teach them new things! Thank you for watching 🤍
Thank you ❤️❤️
Nice video, I am going with my daughter in August, did you go in the summer? Thanks
We have gone in June & in the winter before! The weather was nice both times! Hotter in June but they gave us lots of water and breaks in the AC! Enjoy your trip!
@@PassableParent thank you, we are planning on August, and cannot wait, I bet the zoo is nice in the evening
My 16 month old has only just learned to clap his hands. He doesn’t do most of these gestures in this video.
That’s wonderful he is clapping his hands now!!🤍 try to create opportunities for him to practice some of these other gestures by showing him you using them yourself! Sometimes as parents we are so good and meeting our children’s needs that the opportunity to learn and use some of these just hasn’t come up yet! And if you have any concerns always check in with your pediatrican at your next visit and they can either relieve them or point you in the direction of someone who can help 🤍🤍
@@PassableParent thank you for the reply! I try this everyday, he doesn’t imitate me at all , doesn’t copy sounds or noises either that I say/make. I can’t help but think I’m doing something wrong when I see the way other babies the same age are so far ahead :(
@@katieendrodi24 every baby is different & their development path also is unique to them! Some baby’s take a bit longer and that’s OK🤍 many times these skills can build and there will be a burst or explosion of new skills! There are also wonderful occupational and speech therapists out there who can help you with new tips and to make sure he is getting everything he needs! I recommend asking your pediatrican for referrals or searching for some local ones. There are programs as well like “early intervention” that many times are covered to low cost (pediatrican can refer to them) who can come to your home and do a private evaluation where they can give you recommendations 🤍 I know it’s easy to feel a bit defeated sometimes as parents but know that you are doing an amazing job & that you are the best teacher and advocate for your baby!! 🤍🤍
@@PassableParentdoes your baby started talking? Mine is 13 months and says only baby and baba
@@RahulKumar-kn6it hi “baby” and “baba” both count as words! Keep working with your baby every day, talking to them, reading to them, playing with them and they should be leaning new words as time goes on! If you ever get concerned you can always ask your pediatrican or trusted health care provider and they should be able to help you or alleviate any concerns you have! Lots of language explosion happens at your baby’s age and you should continue to see their vocabulary expand over the coming months 🤍 hope this was helpful!
