The Nitrogen era is something I'd never rewatch knowing that I'm gonna drag myself down by the same repetitive structure, but that's not to say there are a few hidden gems sprinkled throughout it like Spencer the Grand, Tickled Pink, Snow Tracks, Percy & the Calliope, Welcome Stafford and Don't Bother Victor.

Halloween really is the standout episode of S8 for its modeling side of things and the music. Even Michael Brandon did a great job narrating it. Plus, both the scene of STH in his pajamas for subtle humor and 'Arry & Bert getting punished is neat (this and Big Strong Henry being the only times where one of the characters feels humiliated by the end).

For some reason the original video got taken down on, of course, COPYRIGHT GROUNDS despite giving credit! I swear making RUclips a publisher that solely dependent of bots has to be the WORST mistake yet!

This was from Thomas' golden age, when the series had both high-quality episodes and high-quality merchandise lines, the series had a comfortable home on PBS as part of the Shining Time Station spin-off, and the Rev. W. Awdry was still alive, so the producers worked hard to make sure each episode lived up to his expectations. It's sad that that times have changed for the worse, with Thomas' merchandise having decreased in both quality and quantity, the original series having been pulled from PBS, and having ended after 24 seasons, a denser and wackier spin-off that Awdry would never have approved of and Britt Allcroft has officially denounced has taken its place.

Thomas and Friends also aired on TVO Kids. Season 6 episodes rerun with Michael Brandon narration and Hartshorne score even the ones that didn't air on the PBS airings with the HiT format for intro/credits.
