    When you pronounce it as ra is the tongue placement different as when you say it as a la? Because it sounds so different for me.

    Well yeah but 가 is not just „go away”. It gives this wrong only a bad, negative meaning. I think you should also add it just means “go” in neutral, friendly form to tell someone they can go somewhere :)

    I have a question as someone who is learning Korean. You used the Sino number for 10. Will the words for 100-1 million be the same for both sino and native Korean numbers?

    한라산 . the biggest or ...the highest ?

  • @kobayashimidori
    @kobayashimidori Месяц назад

    Korean people can understand perfectly well in almost all cases whether you pronounce 한라산 as "Hallasan" or as it is spelled(han la san), so don't worry too much. But you’ll need to study the pronunciation of double final consonants, like in “넓다” , “닭” , “칡” . Actually, the only people who pronounce those perfectly are news anchors.

    Good stuff. These aberrations must be continually inculcated as there are so many rules that blend and alter sounds of the last syllable in a syllable block influencing the beginning of the next s. Block. Example: chukahamnida but it is written chukhahabnida in hanguel. The most trying process, indeed.
