So Sega took inspiration from marble zone and castle on the sky to create dubious depths or ridicule route and it’s existence can be found while examining the games files on PC. Everyone might know that by now.

Cause in the ending credits, you can see sonic running through a ruined area and some roots have gotten into the area representing castle, the sky, where the roots got into the castle

By the way, the weird floating green plant in little planet is actually R2 because the fact is that Sega took inspiration from marble zone and castle in the sky

great video bro :) i knew nothing about all of those sample cds, but after hearing you talk about it, it just seems even weirder to me that they decided to completely change the ost for the US version, especially considering the inspiration came from... a lot of US stuff? just sounds like weird decisions. I also didn't know why the storage and having to do extra work to change the past themes for US was why they were left unchanged. it is pretty jarring, imo. again, great video. nice to see ppl talk about the best sonic game

Great video. 👌 And while the Switch may have stomped the Wii U in sales, I’m really disappointed at what a step down the menu is after seven years now, it really is just a gaming console. And the Switch being a hybrid console, removed Nintendo’s history with handheld gaming unfortunately. I guess Iwata’s influence on the Wii and DS Families is really apparent, RIP. 😢

Here's what my roster would be for a Mania 2 Emerald Hill Zone marble Zone a new Zone ice cap zone another new Zone Labyrinth Zone quartz quadrant you could have act one as the present Act 2 as the good future and you know what let's give Sonic chaos and Sonic triple trouble some love the next Zone would be Sunset Park and then after that Aqua Planet Zone from Sonic chaos and then casino night Zone then sandopolis then a new Zone then I had a Zone from Sonic spin ball possibly toxic caves or maybe the machine and then for the last three zones I would have Sky sanctuary and then two new zones

the “Amy is from little planet” theory is most likely false due to the origins start cutscene of CD showing amy playing with tarot cards, then showing little planet coming down

The 100 rings in zone 3 meant something else: it supposed to meant that in all third act of all sonic cd rounds it is possible to collect 100 ring but no more no less(except CC which has less than 100 rings and WW which has more than 100 ring in their act 3s) the reason it’s called zone instead of act is because sonic cd renamed acts into zones and zones into rounds

The bad future is believed to be canon because in the outro animation for Sonic CD, sonic is seen carrying Amy out of Stardust Speedway’s bad future (the animations that were made for Sonic CD, were made very early in the game’s development, hence why R2 was still in the game, Tidal tempest wasn’t included in the animation, and Metallic Madness hadn’t been added yet thus making Stardust Speedway the original final zone). A theory for what the “Metallic Madness is impossible” part could also refer to, is in a figurative sense. Metallic Madness was built by Eggman so there shouldn’t really be a Past version. But because there is, it’s believed that this is why the zone is under construction, and the past-theme sounds different than the others, and is more fast-paced and panicked. The “instant time travel” actually refers to the devs original plan to make the player instantly warp the different time-periods. However, due to the limitations, there had to be a short “cutscene” to properly load the assets for the respective time-periods.

I have a new section that can be talked abt in one of your next videos on sonic! According to a comment from someone on a upload of Sonic CD's US boss theme, they said that the music was not made for the actual game but for data pirates. This can be a true theory as in the Google Play and App Stores, if you search up for the 2011 release it gives you fun facts and trivia in the description. These include the "I'm outta here!" easter egg, how the Taxman made the game and was also responsible for Mania, and how the fun is infinite screen was going to be for data pirates. Just something to let you know about to see if it's true. If it is, then what is the real US boss theme for CD?

I don't think Sonic CD's bad ending is canon due to Sonic Generations or Sonic Mania, the reason why Stardust Speedway and Metallic Madness are evolving into bad futures of themselves was because Eggman found the Phantom Ruby which can do many things including give someone, such as Metal Sonic, Eggman, and Heavy King, power, also space and time manipulation. About Knuckles, he's included in the Sonic Origins Plus update in Sonic CD. Also the one who you're calling "Mazin" is actually pronounced "Majin", because there's no "zi" sound in Japanese, and the ぢ in his name is pronounced "ji", it's just that when it comes to romanization of words it's complicated for example ういきち which is the name of a Twitch streamer has her username romanized as "uikiti" when it's pronounced "uikichi". Sonic CD being a CD port of Sonic the Hedgehog makes sense because their zones bear resemblance with names and stuff. Green Hill Zone = Palmtree Panic. Marble Zone = Dubious Depths. Spring Yard Zone = Collision Chaos. Labyrinth Zone = Tidal Tempest. Star Light Zone = Stardust Speedway. Scrap Brain Zone = Metallic Madness. Quartz Quadrant and Wacky Workbench are original levels.
