I just got my Glade helmet and Adapt 2s this week. I hope to get a day of boarding in within the next week and try them out. Fit is amazing on both.
Great helmet and excellent goggles. I doubted that they were really fog free. They are! And customer service is fantastic. These guys want you to be a satisfied customer! Kudos
I also wasn't quite sure about the magnetic buckle but it's genius!
I thought the point of the adapt lens was that you don't have to change lenses. Is there a low light option that goes beyond the range of the standard lens that comes with it?
The lenses are changeable in case of damage to the lens, or if you want to swap to another color without ordering a new goggle. We're all out of stock in low light lenses for these goggles for the season, unfortunately. They will be back next season though!
How long does it take for the lense to change tint when say a cloud moves in front of the sun or you drop into a shady area? Why do you need an extra low light lense if the other lense adapts to all light conditions? I assume it adapts to most conditions, but if it's really flat light you might want the even lighter tint.
The time it takes for the lens to change tint can vary based on the intensity of light and the specific conditions. Generally, our photochromic lenses adapt to changing light conditions quite swiftly, providing optimal visibility as conditions shift. While our adaptive lenses offer versatility across a wide range of light conditions, including partially cloudy days and shifts between sun and shade, extreme low-light situations might benefit from an even lighter tint. Our additional low-light lens ensures you have the best visibility in all lighting scenarios, providing enhanced safety and comfort on the slopes. In extremely low light conditions, such as night skiing or in very dense fog, you may still find it beneficial to have a dedicated low light lens for optimal visibility. So, while photochromic lenses offer excellent adaptability, there may be rare situations where an additional low light lens can be advantageous for the best clarity and performance.
Thanks, do you recommend the photo chromatic lense for very bright above treeline conditions or is there a darker lense like the blue best for that.
We only have our PHOTOCHROMIC Lens and our LOW LIGHT LENS. Our photochromic lenses provide a wider range by automatically adjusting to different light conditions, reducing the need to switch lenses frequently. All our photochromic lenses (except for the MESA model) are REVEAL Photochromic which adapts to all weather conditions. All REVEAL™ range photochromic lens colors boast the same tint-adjusting VLT range of 61%-16%. This means that no matter the color you choose, your REVEAL™ lens will continually shift tint as the intensity of the UV light changes. So, the color of the lenses is just based on your style preference :) However, in extremely low light conditions, such as night skiing or in very dense fog, you may still find it beneficial to have a dedicated low light lens for optimal visibility. So, while photochromic lenses offer excellent adaptability, there may be rare situations where an additional low light lens can be advantageous for the best clarity and performance. @@grizzkid795

So what in the world is the difference between + and the regular Fathom??? Compare & contrast pls
The Fathom+ has a toric lens while the Fathom has a cylindrical lens, and the Fathom+ comes with a toric Rose low-light lens while the Fathom comes with a cylindrical Yellow low-light lens. The Fathom+ also comes with a free crush resistant hard case and is our only goggle to come with our quick-release goggle strap. This buckled strap makes donning & removing your goggles easier versus the typical 'stretch & pull' over your helmet.
Are the lenses polarized?
The silver lens is, but not any other color!

I want to buy your fathom+ goggles but right now the only purchase option is for pink lenses. Is it possible to buy the goggles with green lenses or really any other starter color?
Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to mix-'n'-match but we do sell extra lenses separately. You'll want to select a Fathom toric lens, as that's the perk of the Fathom+ goggle. Just bought my first helmet and after trying on a few at my local ski shop that I wasn’t thrilled about I decided to try the boundary. I absolutely love it! So comfortable and light weight. Can’t wait to try the fathom goggles with the helmet once I head to the Swiss Alps in March!

Are you able to wear glasses under the goggles?
Only our Fathom models are designed to be OTG compatible - they fit most glasses ~5.5” wide by ~2” tall. That being said, many people find they can wear glasses under the Adapt 2 without issue anyway!

Are the lenses magnetic?
The Mesa does not have magnetic lenses, but our Fathom and Fathom+ goggles do!
Hi Mike - loving the Fathom+ goggles and are probably the best goggles I've ever owned. I have just one minor nit around the lens interchange experience. Taking the lens off was relatively straightforward, and I appreciate the magnetic attachment system, but putting a lens back is more difficult than I expected. The two corners on the first side aligns and snaps together fine like in your demonstration, but then the other side is fairly misaligned and takes pretty strong squeezing and manhandling to get the corners to go in. I know you mentioned pressure fit by design, but it takes an unusual amount of pushing together to get it to seat nicely (I don't see myself being able to do this on-the-fly without mumbling a few cuss words and touching up the inner side of the lens). And after I do have it seated, I see an ever-so-slight buckling out on the bottom of the TPU frame, as if it's a fraction of a millimeter too wide for the lens. Not sure if it's just my unit.

Did you ever figure out the issue? I just received mine last week and have the same problem. It takes up so much pressure using both thumbs to get it back in place. In the video it shows it goes on so easy and with very to little pressure

How does the Fathom+ work for XL head/helmet sizes?
The Fathom+ is a medium fit goggle and would likely be a bit small. I'd recommend our Adapt 2 goggle instead!
Sad news, Bluebird closed their doors permanently this summer.
Looking to get this but I wear eyeglasses, will they fit well with it? Or any recommendations for compatible prescription lens inserts?
We recommend our Fathom or Fathom+ as they are both OTG compatible (fits most glasses 5.5” wide by 2” tall). That being said, we do have some customers who can wear the Adapt 2 with their glasses comfortably. If you're looking for compatible prescription lens inserts, check out SportRX! We don't have any association or partnership with them, but we've found that they have a great selection of RX inserts and an awesome customer support team who can help you find the right insert to go with your goggles.
Are these goggles mirrored?
They're our REVEAL photochromic lenses and they aren't technically mirrored lenses even though they mirror up nicely in the light!
My wife just purchased a set, they look great!!! I always have trouble with late day low light conditions. Does the photo lens help with that??? Thx
It does! All of our REVEAL photochromic lenses share the same tint-changing REVEAL range of 16%-61% VLT. Each one will react to the UV light around you and adjust accordingly, so you're set all day long. We also have low light lenses if you find the photochromic lenses dark for the conditions you're out in.
With the Fathom+, do I still have the option to swap out for the non Toric Lenses like the Adapt and regular Fanthom?
You can use both Fathom and Fathom+ lenses with your Fathom+ frames!

How do we put speakers in the ear pads?
@LAG8170 The ear piece has velcro along the entire top of the padding, from ear to ear. So depending on the headphone type, you can add the earphone on ones side then feed the wire along the back to the other one. Kindly email our customer support at hello@gladeoptics.com to assist you further. :)

Very difficult to pop back in, the notches barely fit. Ended up accidentally ripping the foam on the top trying to push the top notches in. Extremely disappointed in the build quality of these

Yes, the Fathom+ comes with a magnetic toric rose low-light lens, microfiber goggle bag (with spare lens sleeve) and a protective goggle case!
Does the magnets hold well enough during a hard crash ? I have a pair of goggles now that are magnet but also have a small locking mechanism and they work well. Just time for an upgrade so I bought these. Waiting for them to come in.
