Thanks for the tip how to enter into the battery to add distilled water. Appreciate it simple one off. God bless.
my dude with receipts. Great video
Thanks
IUOE Local 150 here. I’m an oiler on a crane right now and I can’t wrap my head around why you guys like cranes so much haha. I can’t stand it!! It’s so boring and slow paced. I get a good amount of seat time and it’s just not for me. So more power to ya!! I’m an apprentice so I can’t quit this job and have to wait for a layoff. Problem is the job is going to last another year. I’ll be journeyed out way before then and hope to get into dirt work or sewer and water running an excavator. Stay safe out there brother!
Ha ha cranes are gay. Yeah i can see what you’re saying. Not all operators are into cranes that for sure. I can’t run anything but a crane. Was a professional mechanic my entire career before getting pushed into the seat of a crane so that may explain why i like cranes. If you have experience with other equipment cranes may seem boring. There is an ego aspect to cranes. When we show up most other trades must get out of our way. They are at the job for months or years we show up periodically and because of the overhead hazards they clear out our work area. That in turn lets us feel important and can get our ego pumped. You should post some videos of your experience. I would check it out
@@ryanburbridge hahaha i DEFINITELY know what you mean about the ego thing. Every operator I’ve ever oiled for thinks they’re the shit 😂😂. The other reason I don’t want to get my crane license is because once I do and add it to my card then that’s all I’ll ever get called out for. I’d rather be on a dozer or excavator!
The irony in this video that a Larry H Parker billboard is in the background at point of lift and a billboard of Jacoby & Meyers on the swing! RIP 🪦 Larry H Parker. Bro, I was playing the clicks in my head when you were booming out. You’ve got the feel of it.
Greetings, Brother. I’m currently taking crane theory in Devore with Ben Corbin. Why wasn’t a grab/ clam bucket / or something similar used? If you don’t mind me asking, what happened in the video where the crane went down?
I’m honestly not sure why they used that particular attachment. That was the first time i had done that. Set a few tanks before but they customer always used their own equipment to fill. I scanned through the video looking for the part where the crane went down. You may have to time stamp it. Crane theory sounds fun. Devore? Is that the Local 12 training site?
@@ryanburbridge Devore is an OETT Training Site. Local 12, Yes.
What happened?
Oh yeah this one sucked This was on the 10 fwy. From what i understand the operator was using a vibrator to pull soldier beams. Traditionally you would loosen as many as you can reach then set the vibrator down as it weighs 20/25k then pull the beam and trip them from far radius to close. Looks like this operator decided to try to trip a beam with the extra weight of the vibrator starting at the closest radius then just sent it till she flipped. If i had to keep the vibrator i would have laid the beam down on the swing but they may not have wanted the operator to swing towards traffic. Companies will ask for the impossible then blame the guy that gives it to them.
This was painful to watch
Yeah? What about it?
Don’t see any content on your channel. I think there are things that you do that others would find helpful. Try it out.
Hey man, just changed the trigger in my 1911 and now the trigger is stuck and the disconnecter doesnt want to come up to to allow the trigger to be pulled. Any idea?
Oh man umm
I imagine the leaf spring on the back may be in the wrong spot. That flat spring resets the trigger and the disconnecter

Great video!
Thanks. After 4 years of religiously charging my batteries while parked. This week i destroyed one of them with a loose connection 🤦🏼♂️
This Post just keeps on giving. I have a Lawn Tractor battery that is only 2 years old. Peeled up the sticker and found It had these plugs too!
Ha ha yeah the only issue i would like to solve is finding a watering jug that fits in the holes and brings the water level up to the correct level. Like an actual maintenance battery.
@@ryanburbridge I keep a Basting Syringe for this reason. Has worked for years on car and boat batteries. Works on these tiny holes as well.
Man your the best. Was trying to remove whole top. Under the sticker are all these caps easy to pull off and refill. I was charging on almost empty cell. Did 2 batterues and use so much distilled water. 1 of these 2 i just bought used at Kenny U Pull for 120$ cdn + taxes. Refilled it and 1 cell was half full. Damn... Hey, Thank you :)
Ha ha right on! Yeah it is frustrating that they call them maintenance free. Glad it helped
Not sure who you was helping but I found your explanation informative.
Ha ha yeah the guy i made the video for years ago never did respond. Glad it helped. Obviously not a polished video like we have now days. Thanks!
That open jump port exposed to dirt and water seems like it will corrode over time and put a lot of resistance into the jump circuit when you need to use it. Should at least have a cap on it.
Good catch. It definitely gets nasty. These have a pretty positive spring pressure they have to overcome when connecting and a good wiggle also helps scrape through the crud. Also i live in SoCal so perfect weather for exposed metal. Definitely recommend a cover for those that live in real weather country.

nice vids
How’s it going? been watching your videos.. Currently I’m a heavy equipment mechanic in SoCal making $38 an hour. And I have my CDL class A along with other certifications from UTI and welding cert… A family friend let me know about the apps opening up this month? Any thoughts on what you would do and how long does it take to get back to what I’m making currently? Thank you, I appreciate it🤙🏽
On a job at moment. I’ll hit you back with info later. Where are you working at the moment?
A first step apprentice earns 60% of our journeyman rate. So starting pay would be $45.39 or $45.40 I recommend you search Operating Engineers Training Trust local 12 and fill out the application as soon as it opens. Oett dot net
😅 dang
NAPA are made in the same factory as Deca batteries.
Good to know! Would be interesting to see the two side by side. Or inside by inside lol. I’m not Pakistani though

What’s up buddy. You getting last minute preparations done for your big day?
Been 2 years since your last upload. Let’s go!

Nice bit of operating there mate 👍🏼👍🏼
Ha ha thanks. I watched a video this morning of some guy filming at one of the tank manufacturers yards. Then got a dispatch to head out and set these today. Figured I’d make a quick video. Tanks came in at 11 thousand pounds and crane was good for about 20 at 50 feet radius. Easy to throw them around at half chart lol
I thought that was you, when i saw the original video!
Should have stopped and said like subscribe and comment lol

You're with hydraulic now, so no more bob hill? Whats the hook on the end of your boom for?
Ha ha busted
Yeah bro BHC fired me back in 2020 over covid bullshit. The hook is to attach the rigging directly to the boom and set k-rail under bridges power lines or low signs. No fun lol. Where are you at nowadays?
@@ryanburbridge yeah I kinda thought that's what it is for, just wasn't sure. I am unemployed right now.
This video and any like it along with all comments demonstrate why the 1911 is obsolete and that no one should ever rely on one for self defense
Well i kinda feel bad now lol. My video was Soo poorly done that entire generations will miss out on the beauty of a true masterpiece. Their is a major difference between paper plates and fine china. A classic mechanical watch and a quartz. Should everyone carry a 1911? No. Are there those that understand all the details and are willing to put the time and effort into a 1911? Yes. Oh by the way. I now carry a custom 320 lol but yeah i get what your saying.
😂
De las mas bonitas 1911 cal 45 que he visto,así es kimber en todo lo que fabrica,ya sea 380,9 mm etc enhorabuena
Gracias por el comentario. Este kimber es ligero y patea como una mula.
Hey bro im apart of Local 5 heat and frost insulators im a jac apprentice and i want to join local 12 to become a crane operator, any way i can get into the union without having to wait a year to apply ???
Absolutely! www.oett.net/dispatch-hall-locations With the link above you will find a list of all the local 12 dispatch offices. At each office they maintain a list of out of work workmen. You can go in person to a hall and pay about $25.00 a month to maintain your name on their list. Each hall charges a fee so i recommend one that covers either the most available work (Pasadena or Anaheim) or one near where you live. You must pay in person every month to maintain your position. Also to be on the list you should have your skills listed. Example: “CCO certified operator with Class A CDL TWIC card”
Love to see you do more boot vids. Like the other commenter. Seeing that you actually work in them lol... Altoughout shoutouts to our "Dancers" wearing Nicks Boots lol...
Good idea lol i was sitting down to dinner tonight and just told my wife i need to send one of my pairs in for resole. Think I’ll post a video before and after. Although i decided to send them to JK this time… keep you posted
Did this the first time I broke the gun down. The tools especially the L shaped Kimber one end up being more of a pain in the ass than anything else. This is my main carry gun now (.45 ACP version) and never had a jamb or any feed problem, ever. Keep the gun clean and property lubed and you will experience the same. If your hands are weak the aftermarket long round clip tool is your best bet.
Thanks for the tip. I have since switched to the 320 in 9mm. 17+1 gun 21 spare vs 7+1 gun 10 spare But man are all these new 2011 guns making me drool
What holster? I had a crossbreed super tuck and loved it. Have broken two full kydex holsters in 9 months for the 320
@@ryanburbridge I use a Urban carry lock leather OTW holster. I love it! Very comfortable even in the car.
Yo is this the OETT local 12 ?
In Whittier or city of industry . One of those cities
Umm not sure your question. The video is from the “twin” ports Long Beach and Los Angeles. Specifically 2500 navy way. The old APM side. Definitely not the training trust. I am in local 12 though
@@ryanburbridge yeah that’s what I meant 😂 my bad if your in the OETT local 12
I made those machines!
Well let’s hear more! Did you work at the manufacturing plant or the install at the port? Let’s see some content!
@@ryanburbridge It's classified. I can't tell you anything. I like my job ;)
When in doubt, boom up!! 😂
Ryan. I checked the Deka Catalogue and they didn't have replacement plugs for the cells. Have you found a source for thies tapered plastic plugs. Any help appreciated. Nice Vedio BTW.
I have never looked myself. Just spent a few minutes and didn’t see any company marketing the exact plug. I will definitely be looking into this further. A couple of suggestions: First i would find a local battery recycler and see if they would be willing to let you have as many as you want. I’m in SoCal and can find these places anywhere. Second i would look for a plug that can fit. Possibly threaded. I’ll pull my plugs and get some measurements. Keep you posted.
Any luck?
Nice looking pistol! Love my Ultra Carry II
Thank you. I am cleaning my dads CDP II for him and the disassembly was different from my 1911. The spring bound up against the loop and I didnt want to stress or mar anything so decided to check out youtube.
It’s old and filled on a potato but I’m glad it helped
Hey, nothing wrong with that. It’s informative and to the point 👌🏻
looks slow and stupid lol, bring the humans back,
For me if this happened being disabled and I got a huge bill. Theres no way I could pay it.. Honestly this where the PNW boot companies need to invest in a whole internal call center. Where you have people training to be shoemakers, have access to the floor and all their job to do is take customer service calls.. I know these companies run really lean compared to other businesses but this where you have to invest.
How long does the toe leather last with a steel toe? I'm starting a new job that required one, & want to know if I should ask for a toe cap as well.
Definitely depends on the use. I work where i don’t have to crawl around or put a lot of wear on my boots. Definitely would recommend extra protection if your job is go to be hard on toes
Hey, I currently hold my class A and looking into getting my crane license . Do you think I should get it then apply to local 12 as an apprentice?
No apply ASAP!
If you have a class A you are ahead of most applicants. I recommend if your able to afford it to look at getting your swing cab and fixed cab NCCCO crane cert. if you get that you would be even further ahead. If you have both you can apply at any non union crane outfit and get some practice while you wait on the “out of work” list at your local union hall. The demand is high at the moment.
@@ryanburbridge thanks will do too bad they aren’t accepting anymore applications Will definitely keep my eyes peeled . In the mean time I’ll get my cert thanks a lot !!
I live in the area. Is there a way to connect? I’m interested in getting in the industry and would like To meet experienced engineers. Thank you for your time.
Yeah yeah man networking works. Shoot me a text.
@@ryanburbridge man thanks bro I am texting you now. You can delete your info if you’d like. Thank you !
Did you do this in a tenet with a flashlight?
Kinda.
Logger sole on the Franks😊
They made those with the 1 inch sole profile that’s why they look thicker than your other ones because the machines can’t so the bottoms on a 1 inch profile. I have a pair of builder pros and wanted the 1 inch sole profile. it’s just a little beefier.
Just got my pair back from JK. Very nice
I like to have them boots
Save up and order a pair. Worth it. Check in on the other two hand made boots. Franks and JK
I buy used work boots
Hope to get a bit more out of my batteries . Thanks Guy !
Good luck!
Any updates?
Your videos are much appreciated. Im down in Bakersfield and I'm starting my training next week at the Famoso Rock sand Gravel plant/Facility. Im very excited. I do hold a CDL A as well. My question is, If I start training in the rock sand gravel area,How likely am I to move around to other job classifications like oilers ,crane, and Heavy equipment?
Appreciate the comment! My first thought is that you are the one that determines what you want to do lol. That being said. Congrats on landing a good job to start. Are you local 12? You have a CDL. What class? Do you have an operating cert? If they allow it show us your rock spread. Keep in touch.
Thanx for this video...i was wondering how to do maintenance on mine...now i know
Happy to help
I always thought using the stupid tool was very poor engineering, I never actually questioned it however. Thank you for making my life simpler.
Ha ha well said. Enjoy
