Skip ahead to ranch in sketchUp lesson 5 (uploading right now), then you can backtrack. The step-by-step sketchUp, and Revit files are in my handouts, tell your classmates, and good luck!

If I wanted to show the RCP without the furniture, I would simply go into VG and uncheck furniture, correct? Thank you!
easier than that, set underlay=none in the properties palette for the RCP viewport. usually its useful to leave the plan as an underlay while arranging lights, but from a construction documents point of view the contractor executing the ceiling system doesn't care or need to know where the furniture is. -sc

Thanks for these videos, Sandro! I actually created a window component from the section, but wondering if there's a more efficient method? Did you draw additional guides based on the section, or did x-ray mode automatically reveal where the top part of the window should be drawn in relation to the wall ?
This technique is really great. When I'm applying the colors, it feels like an experiment. The results are surprising and not what I expected at all.
