Conan the Barbarian 16 Review (Spoilers)
I would love to see a season 8 of Legend of Korra❤😂
I may be wrong but without Buscema Conan I’m not that interested. I’m open to being persuaded
The art in Savage Sword is sooooo much better than the primary colour horror show of the other Marvel Conan run.
Super useful to see how other people build out solo OSE adventures. Filling in the blanks seems like a useful resource.
Did you know that Calica is a former Thundercat? She is using the Eye of Thundera to find the Book of Omens and she's also working with the Molemaster who released the thundrium which killed all of the Thundercats and Lion-O is the only one who survived and he's now called APEX! APEX already found the Book of Omens first and he is looking for the Eye of Thundera which Calica stolen it
7:38 I know you commented, but I did not fully understand. Did you roll 3d6? Not 4d6 drop lowest?
4:18 even before 1e (1979), Gygax wrote (in Spring 1975, not even 1 year after oD&D came out) an article on the first edition of the TSR newsletter. It was a set of random tables to create Dungeons. Just like the 5e books has, but it has that lovely feeling of nostalgia. It's available on anarchive. I can send you the link.😊
Also, for The One Ring I heard Strider Mode is a great addition. I'm going to give it to myself as a Christmas gift. 😊
Great video. Thanks. I like BECMI too. Your red box got me emotional. An excellent retroclone for it is Dark Dungeons and Dark Dungeons X. I have been using it for solo hexcrawling in Karameikos, Mystara. Best, V❤
This is a good issue my only problem is... Didn't Jace already kill someone in the first issue? pretty sure he fry's a bad guy with spaceship engines to save his own life. Sooo whys he so torn about about Zorak when it saved the galaxy?
i think you're right. The whole Jace thing has been a bit off, see my review of issue 7 for an idea about how I think it could have been handled better.
Been watching YT videos for 20 years and first time I seen someone use a ninja star for the unboxing - haha classic! Gotta wait for Dec for mine in the states to arrive
Its a novelty chart/pendant from Japan. Not sharp in any way but the shape is good enough to tear through paper or plastic. Hope you enjoy the Blu Rays. I'm 3 episodes in and i think they are a worthy ipgrade from the DVD versions.
If you think you're getting more than one season a year you're kidding yourself. These sets take A LONG TIME to produce and the people behind the series 1 set said its taken a year to release Season 1 from start to release so absolutely NO WAY we'll get the other 3 seasons next year. I'd estimate 1 set a year so finished by 2028
Unfortunately I think you're probaly right. It took ages to get the Doctor Who DVD series completed.
Could you get the discs to play?
So far I've only watched episode 1 and a few of the extras that are all on the first disc. Have there been issues with them not working?
I have a copy of this. While the cover is a touch lacking, the art and information inside is worth getting if you are a fan of the Bubblegum Crisis OVAs.
Many thanks for posting the video so quickly. I’ve just received mine today as well. I was curious to know what peoples opinions were., to be honest I never thought that Blake’s 7 would reach the light of day for blu ray and I’m so grateful for those involved who have made this possible
Even one set a year is good. Something to look forward to. It is good the BBC are issuing these. Thank you for your video.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for showcasing this. I just bought my copy a couple weeks ago and now I'm just waiting with anticipation for it to be shipped off. Thanks again.
boy, they really botched that cover.. get some Udon artist to slap together a cover while the insides of the book are filled with gorgeous Kenichi Sonoda art..
Just bought this, and I had an original annual in the 1980s. Anyway, hello from New Zealand and a newbie booktuber. Subbed, and I look forward to getting to know your content. Regards, Mark.
Ah, those wonderful shipping dents on the corner ...
I’ve had the same two copies from forbidden planet arrived creased and dented due to the flimsy card sleeve. Sent back, rolled the dice with the rainforest (didn’t want to buy from them) and even worse shipped a heavy hardcover book in a thin A3 card envelope….
Probably picking up the Legends collection soon. I've got vol 1 - 8 already.
Interesting catch here! Yeah wouldn't call that a misprint, just someone making some very questionable retouching and recoloring decisions. Someone choose to do that stuff. Personally, I liked the Marvel covers with the newly commissioned artwork...but I get why people want the classic art on the cover.
Good review 👍 I loved the magazine too. I spotted Dr Able Stack who was Machine Man 's "father" and James Braddock who obviously has a Captain Britain connection.
Thanks for your video!
Hey Dog Brother 👋⚔️
The game and the expansion is an amazing experience. Recommend it to immerse yourself even more
You gotta read the Salome Cane story too. There killing it. Heroic.
Great book, the artwork!!!
Great video! ⚔️
SD, he said he didn’t like it at all? He can’t be a Conan Fan 😂😂😂😂
Shame about the lack of protection for the comic
I touched the cover for 15 min and the colour started coming off
I think I prefer the new SSoC to the main Conan run. The story is awesome. When I turned to that page and its a splash page of a dinosaur: that was impactful.
Very neat! Looking forward to when they make the Caverns of Thracia!
Amazing set; we'll be playing the DCC version this all summer at the least.
I didnt realize they were 3 books in this.
great series void is
print quality is a shame. titan comics f....ed it up.
I hope issue two has better greying. That was embarrassing.
Presuming the contentious McDonalds / Burger King and Jolly Green Giant stories are not included in this volume?
Great review. Your videos deserve more likes. Thanks for your efforts!
Such a shame that the centre-spreads aren't reproduced in colour. But still, a great way to own and read the early Dredd stories we grew up with.
What are the dimensions of the Nemesis hardcover?
Same contents in the softcover Nemesis? Will there be 5 volumes of the hardcover as well?
There should be 5 volumes of the softcover too. More than the 3 of the earlier Complete editions which makes me hope they include the ABC Warriors Black Hole story with Nemesis Book Five. The hardcover itself is a BIG book, so much so I'm having trouble finding shelf space for it. It's 31.5cm tall x 21cm wide.
Personally I enjoyed this story thus far, looking forward to issue#2
"Stuff happening for the reason of happening." Well said. This pretty much sums up modern storytelling. This series is a symptom of today's world.
it does not seem to be that good.
Nice
Very cool video 👍👍
Typical modern western comic. You'd think for a first issue they'd do something memorable and epic to drag the reader in, leave them wanting more, get them hooked. As soon as I heard IDW were involved my heart sank. Sad as I love the cartoon and would love a continuation. Also Dianas costume being changed to cover her stomach is typical pointless modernism.
