damn that thing sounds good as hell and aggressive. Im thinking about running open headers 05 gsxr 1000 headers on my 99 gsxr 750 SRAD to see how loud itll be.
Ran mine with open headers one day with 1428cc build. Flew by buddy he came up to me at stop said hit his ears hard enough thought he damaged them! Crazy sound no tips but put back on was so loud and nasty even coating past police was concerned for ticket! Harleys run straight pipes but VMAX has sick as sound and built is another level of nasty. Sounds great thanks for video need to pull out my video off old computer someday
Stock bore and stroke. Megacycle race cams, oversized valves, ported and polished heads. Clutch work, Major carb work. Have never had it on a dyno but did race my budys stock Vmax and left him like he was stopped.
Got an '86 that I'm redoing, it was my Dad's... Going to need some pointers on the engine setup. Had the Dale Walker 4 into 1 Holeshot System but, the collector is crushed. Looking into getting a Kerker or Hindle 4 into 1 for it... Straight Bars are the only way to go in a Max and the bike sounds absolutely AMAZING 👊🏾
It's a Dale Walker 4 into 1. Bought it in 91. Lost my muffler years ago on the interstate. Put a Hindle muffler on it that got smashed so just angle cut the collector and wrapped the header. That was in 93. Haha.
That bike is badass . They don’t make em like that anymore . One day I will have one
UFO quadzilla exhaust is about the closest system to an open header small block V8 note you can get without going full header .love that sound

Craziest sounding bike ever..awesome!!!
I'd prefer this over any harley tbh

Nasty. How does it ride as a hard tail?
Sounds awesome
Where did you have that header made? Sounds badass
Open header means he just removed the exhaust
Solid strut rigid rear end huh? Plenty of rear tire though...
Yeah it's still a brain jarring ride. Haha
Iwhen I was 22yrs old I removed my pipes in my 1st vmax. And it did sound like a stock car..
I do this from time to time to pissoff my neighbors.
I run a kerker 4 into 1 as open header. Love to scare asshole car drivers who cut me off in traffic.
What's the specs?
