We dance Salsa on 3 sometimes. It works great for clave 3 and 8 accents and if you like cowbell beats better than conga.

No! In Cuba before revolution all people were dancing to SON MONTUNO, and the name of the dance was SON URBANO (which means, SON but CITY STYLE...Casino came after 60's...in the 40's, 50's, 60's especially ...The basics of all other North American styles lik LA and NYon2 is based on SON URBANO...The difference is CUba changed their music and dance style to RUEDA de CASINO it is different technic. But SON URBANO was in line, usually!! SON was dancing on1 and on2(contra tiempo or to the clave)

On1 all the way! - I dance both and yeah certain elements on on2 are ok but on 1 you can really attack the music, while on2 it totally feels and looks like your dancing over the music... you on1 folks know what im talking about.... also on2 dancers seem to have this superiority complex which makes even MORE unattractive lol - just my opinion --- Love the video! -

Good street dancer but not great technique. You can see in his way of dancing that he dabbles in Flamenco and Jazz dancing.

I don't know how to salute this magnificent artist. Wow!

watch someone like Cristian Oveido or Alien R. dance on 1, and you'll see that it's the dancer that makes the dance. But on2 is picking up on the west coast.

From my understanding this way an unapproved move BUT I enjoyed watching the Island Touch girls celebrating the birthday of 1 of their founding member. Took about 5 minutes.

They actually stopped people from dancing in the Salsa room of the 2012 DC Bachata Congress on the Friday night and cleared the dance floor so island touch could do this? Not hatin, but that was kinda corny.
