Really sorry about the delay. There is an option in the OKI C432 driver to create a custom size page. It's called User Defined in print preferences. Lynton

Hi Gemma, sorry about the delay with a reply. There are 2 possible options: 1. A WiFi extender that has WPS - see shop.ppp.systems and select the keyword WiFi. 2. On the right side of the printer, near the top, you'll see a small panel that, when you open it has a cable for a wireless card supplied by OKI. I ordered one of these cards 3 months ago to test it and am still waiting. Lynton

Hi Dean, no modification for printing onto clear film are required but you do need to choose the correct media in the driver. I suggest Labels. Lynton

@@deancallaway2664 Unless something has changed, I am sure you can print to film. The B432 printers we sell are modified but mainly for people printing onto reflective.

What modifications are made over a standard printer for printing onto reflective?

Forgive the delay with a reply. If you go to ppp.systems then from the menu top right choose Help & Info, there is a set up procedure for the G500. Basically in the driver you have to adjust the horizontal position. Lynton

I suggest your GoDEX G500 has not been set up for number plates. Bear in mind that the vast majority of these printers are used for printing onto continuous roll labels. There are a few different firmware versions for this printer. Go back to your supplier and ask that they change it for you or get in touch as we at PPP Systems Limited can help.

OK thanks, do you use Resin or Wax ribbons for number plate printing, as they obviously need to be UV stable?

same. got a godex g500 but it wants continuous roll. did you manage to get firmware changed? i went through printer settings and it only had options for default tray-continuous roll.

Forgive the delay with a reply, for some reason I don't seem to get notifications. With the system you have I surmise you have to install printer drivers on any or all PCs first. The print server has the drivers and the drivers are installed with one click. Once installed any or all PCs on the network can print without them having the driver. Gets around OS variations and even allows you to print from phones, tablets anything that can connect to the network the print server is connected to. You can design and print plates from your phone.

Personally I prefer the OKI C650 because it allows you to print a wider range of plates, prints colour badges/logos and it is faster. The printer is more expensive but worth it. Thanks, Lynton

Yes, you can create your own badges in JPG or PNG format and upload to a plate design.

Hi James, plate sizes are chosen by clicking PLATE button. When that window pops up there is a choice of sizes. When you choose a size, the size information is displayed in the button to the right of PLATE. If you'd like to try the software for a few days free, give me your name and email address.
