On April 10th, 2016 the WMSR held a "Farewell to #734" excursion that departed Cumberland at 1pm, this was 734's last public run for the foreseeable future. Wait 2101 had a hooter whistle???
All Reading T-1's had freight hooters. Only 2100, 2102, and 2124 received 6s when they ran on the rambles. All freight locomotives used the Reading Hooter for that matter. The 6s were only used on their passenger engines.

This year next month the #425 is running trips from Reading to Port Clinton and return for several weekends. Also #113 next weekend from Minersville. Also Jim Thorpe trips but diesel powered.

Great video! How on earth did you manage to stay ahead of the train? You must know the line well-It seems like when I'm chasing trains traffic seems to move slower and all the traffic lights turn red.
I wonder: if the WMSR decides not to forego the 1472 inspection on 734, what would be the chances of her going back to IRM and being reunited with her sister LS&i 35 and possibly returned to service there?
john erikson they plan on rebuilding 734 after 1309 is done and running then they will start on 734 1472 inspection
Well, that project has been suffering a lot lately, financially speaking. If 1309, or 734, does run again, it will not be for a very long time. I don't think it would be far off to say the Big Boy will be up and running first at this point. I'm still excited for the return of both of these.
