Why they can’t give out that sticker. I don’t get it. So lgw
Excellent review. Know your limitations your no spring chicken running and guning is in your rear view mirror but your skills are still there. Don't over think everything you do tom.
I find your lack of ABN wings upon the pew pew box disturbing. Perhaps you need a Area J sticker as well. ;)
My son and I each got the non-Bluetooth versions. We wanted sound enhancement for hunting and without music playing in our ears. They work great for dove hunting when you’re surrounded by your buddies firing boomers sporadically.
Good to hear (lol) they are working out for you. I have been using them on and off again trying to see if maybe the issue I have is due to the operator. Thanks for the comment.
Nice video! We appreciate it!
You get a buddy to look all this stuff up for you. That’s how I role lol.
Sounds about right. lol
hi I hope you are well. I visited your (Red Four Reviews) youtube channel and I subscribed to the channel. This is a very nice channel and It has very good video content. But However, during my exploration, I came across several issues that I believe need attention. I am a RUclips expert If you give me permission, I will share some information to increase your channel. Then you get lots of subscribe and views Can I suggest growing your RUclips channel?
Appreciate you taking the time to review! Yes, I personally sign all the packing slips lol. Guess I need to slow down when signing my name Pete Jr 😂
Thanks for watching and commenting. I believe you have a great product and hope you get busy enough that you're stamping your signature on the slip.
I just got the ex02 guy bought it and never shot it. After the first two mags it started to fail. It wouldn’t pick up another round and was just piping ammo out. Is that the failure you had
That sounds pretty similar, your issue started a lot sooner than mine though. Lubing it some took care of the problem. I have ran another 1500ish rounds through it since this video with no issues. Let me know if that takes care of it.
@@redfourreviews I definitely will let you know. I think that’s probably what it is because it sat in the original owners safe for a while and he never used it and I didn’t even think to lube it
Neat piece of kit. I'm definitely a fan of the latch design. Sidetrack, you've got me wondering about putting my resqme on my key ring. I've got one in my VOK and one zip tied to each passenger seat headrest for those contexts. I guess they're like TQs, you put them everywhere and still figure out somewhere you could use one.
I have a resqme on my main key ring in addition to the visors. My thought is that in any type of incident the keys will probably stay in the ignition. I also like having one on me and since the truck keys go with me most places, it works out pretty well.
Thanks!!!
You're welcome. I hope this was helpful. Thanks for the comment.
Wish you had that DD with the folding stock now don’t ya?
Maybe. Lol.
I recently started buying rifle ammo, and during fighting rifle several of the students wound up overloading the magazines. I loaned an AK, and there were several times I struggled to get the bolt back over the top round. I had an idea to buy a box of sandwich bags and have put 27 in each, so I knew I wouldn't have that issue going forward. I'm not sure how they'll hold up in a can full of ammo though. It seems like a better solution than prying a magazine out with a knife, but I still need to get enough for a class so I can actually run it. Then again that same class had an issue with discount magazines, so maybe I'm overthinking it.
Thanks for the comment. If that's what you need to do to make it work, go for it. Maybe use freezer bags since they are thicker.
Mmmm. .308 TCX. Rough day to be a bad guy.
indeed. Thanks for the comment.
Just tested the 115gr 9mm TCX in my LEO reading G19. Shot great. Love that it is in 50 round box. I am pretty sure Yeager told Pete Jr to do that.
It is good stuff and I think you are correct about the 50rnd box. Thanks for the comment.
True story 😉
Best ammo ever!
Hard to go wrong with Defiant Munitions. Thanks for the comment.
Best of luck. Wish I lived in TN so I could vote for you.
I wish I lived in the district. I'm down here in the blue corner trying to keep it periwinkle.

Yeah, I planned to buy one or two to try... but, I'm still stuck on the decision whether to buy the coupler model or the non-coupler model... exactly due to the concerns that you mentioned. It also easier to store mags tightly together in a limited space in a safe sometimes without a coupler. Yet, the built-in coupler could be cool too! What to do... what to do... 😄
Tough question. I think maybe a set of them for the house if you roll like that. Thanks for the comment.
Here's you a RUclips thing. If memory serves, Louis once recommended a big bag of marshmallows as survival gear, that might do for the open pouch. Something about pillows and fire starters.
I think you are correct. Worth considering for this application.
Definitely some gems out there with no ammo on the gear lists. MAG 20, medical, force-on-force (which may or may not qualify as no-shoot classes), just to name the few I've already taken.
Thanks for the comment. Medical is definitely a must. If you have the mindset and tool(s)to induce trauma, you should be equipped with a similar mindset and set of tools to reduce trauma.
They do not come in a set they come one to a package and I swear by these magazines I've dropped them from 4 ft to tile floor a few times no cracks no breaks
Thanks for the comment. They do seem to be a quality product, I just wasn't super excited about the coupling feature built into the mag.
I’ve got three and they’re great. Been holding up good and you know I alway carry and have my edc on me.
Kore essentials makes great belts, I have 2 of them!
Thanks for the comment. This one makes 3 for me. I was sad to see "Made in China" on the belt as I was cutting it for fit. I had a discussion about them, and though they were U.S. made. I'll dig deeper on my next belt purchase.
I wore the black leather Kore belt. Held up good for a while. The finish on the buckle did wear off, and the black finish on leather did flake off were tail end went into buckle and also where holster sat. It seem to get a little flimsy but still seemed to work. This was after several years though of daily use.
This is the first leather one I've had. The other two I have, have the same things as you described but still work. Thanks for the comment.
lol the Camo isn’t very low profile ! But SOE makes quality stuff and I bet you will really like it .
They definitely make quality gear. Thanks for the comment.
I had to come back for the Camo not being low profile, it took me a minute to process it. Fair point. I can't remember why it went down like that. I think it was a discounted price so I took what was available. Or maybe I was like "multi-cam is cool." Either one is possible. lol.
I picked up some of their shotgun cards and Velcro backers. It'd sound like a tough sell to the uninitiated, trying to sell shotgun cards for $25. Even before I knew I wouldn't run anything else when it really mattered, now I don't know if I'd even bring anything else to a class.
We tend to want cheap, and that usually winds up with us finding out that it's crap gear. We then go ahead and buy the good gear, costing us more at the end of the day. I still struggle sometimes to get over that and look at the fit, function, quality, application and the company before the price of an item. Thanks for the comment.
I think I need the medium clothes bag. I have the toiletry bag and is great. Super curable. Best of luck. Need to use your code for when I retake Fighting Pistol!
I use the medium bag that I have for my Force on Force gear. It does a good job of holding what I need for that. Thanks for the comment.
Visor covers are awesome!
I haven't really used them before so I am still trying to decide if I like them of not. Thanks for the comment.
Been looking at AR's i like the 13.7 Patrol from SOLGW..
Thanks for the comment. I'm pretty happy with my SOLGW rifle. Go check them out in San Antonio if you get a chance.
Had a blast. I always over pack though.
I bought a mess of them when they are on sale some of them clear most of them aren't. I didn't get any with the built in copplers just for that reason, Just by the looks of them I knew I didn't want the extra thickness. Then again I usually run USGI I so I never have that issue. Is all in all though it's a good mag.
Without the couplers, I think they would be pretty solid mags. I'm moving more to Lancers with the metal feed lips. Thanks for the comment.
Just got mine, was excited until started using them. I'm going to try to like them but I got a hunch they're going back. Instructions suck, are not clear. Opening the little clamshell case is hard for a full size person. Sounds funny with a lot of echo, but might the way I'm using it, can't know for sure as the manual is lacking.
Thanks for the contribution. I'm still trying hard to like them. I have been thinking part of the problem was "operator error," but I'm not so sure anymore. I'm going to give them another try while I'm at Ghost Ring Tactical.
I emailed Axil about their money back guarantee, the customer is responsible to pay for return shipping, which in my opinion is wrong.@@redfourreviews
I bought the Xcor and love them. Ended up getting the foam tips from Axil they say are only for the extreme 2.0, but they seem to fit and provide much better NRR. Anyway, good video and thank you!
Thanks for the comment. Glad to hear they worked out for you.
Rookie moves!
No love from this crowd. Lol. I should have said it was intentional to test my claim of people being willing to help out. Tactical Response was willing to transfer a couple of my training credits to him as a way to say thanks.
Great video. I think it's a great idea to have the intro class
I hope it works out. I think a lot of new gun owners will get a lot of value from it. Thanks for the comment.
I like fighting pistol but I can see where a new guy would’ve been way behind.
Good thing you cleared up the “roll playing” thing 😂
I knew you would be confused. 🤣
🐐
Thanks for the 🐐.
To methods?
Good catch. I have reprimanded my entire staff with a harshly worded memo.
It felt weird being on the wrong end of that rifle lol
No camera stands were harmed in the filming of this video. Lol.
That first method of loading had a lot of stuff going on that sounded really admin, not what I'd want my buddy doing if I was covering him while he fixed his rifle. If it still didn't work after he got on the sights he'd just tap and rack, which is what he would have had to do if the bullet was still on the same side of the mag. He'd re-tap the mag by re-inserting it at the very least. On going gun-up for reloading, I managed to forget to do that once during Fighting Rifle. It was really awkward and I knew I was forgetting something, though admittedly I was entirely untrained and unfamiliar with the rifle, which also was an AK. I didn't forget anymore after that. Thanks Tom. Rock on.
Thanks for the comment. Method one definitely had more of an "admin" feel to it. It's been so long since I took that class, I don't recall if they built on it from there.
The round count will be night and day between vr and tr.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, the round count at Valor Ridge is much lower, as I recall. I'm just hoping the weather is decent for the class.
Dry dirty BCG slowing down and not going back far enough to pick up next round. Good content, please keep going, subbed.
Thanks for the comment. I think is was just the under lube problem. As I recall I ran it through the next class and only oiled it. I was trying to run this one to the point of failing because of dirty but just couldn't take it and had it cleaned. I will be running it again at Ghost Ring Tactical in New Mexico in March and well see how it goes. I expect it will be fine. Thanks again for the comment and also for the sub.
Well, they need to make 9mm ammo specifically for PCC carbines, like Speer has done, then we will talk!
Thanks for the comment. I don't run a pcc so I had no idea that was a thing. Thanks for the insight. I would suggest sending an email to the manufacturer asking about that specific ammo. Maybe get the ball rolling that it would be worth it to produce.
@@redfourreviews It's called: Speer Gold Dot G2 Carbine 9mm 135 Grain HP. Got it from Target Sports USA. Expensive, but well worth it IMO for self defence purposes only. Just run cheap 9mm ammo for target practice. A 16" PCC will run any old 9mm ammo with basically no problems.
Thanks for the follow-up and dialing everyone in. I ran Speer for a long time as my personal defense round. It was what the agency that I worked for used, so I figured it was a solid choice. I currently run Defiant Munitions for my personal defense round. defiantmunitions.com/ Defiant is a smaller company, and I trust their work. I did, and recommend everyone, run a couple hundred rounds of their carry ammo through the gun before placing it into the "my life might depend on it" roll.
@@redfourreviews G9 makes nice rounds as well: For the discerning protector, G9 Defense's 126gr Subsonic 9mm round offers the pinnacle of quiet, effective defense. When history, innovation, and superior performance converge, you're in the territory of G9 Defense. Elevate your defense game. Choose G9 Defense.
Finally, somone who won't roast me for my drills using an anti tank rifle 😂
No roasting here. Unless of course that anti tank rifle is chambered in .40 cal. 😆. Thanks for the comment.
really would like hear a more info....
Thanks for the comment. What info would you like to hear? This school specifically or more general about/for all schools?
By them not wearing eye protection they could also potentially harm themselves and others if they get injured and flentch or over react....
Great points. Thanks for jumping in.
Great to see father son training together, i feel like you should have a gear review ie holster your useing for the class and ccw and recommend etc...
I try to limit my gear reviews and focus on the schools. The gear seems to be my most viewed videos so I may have to rethink that. Thanks for the comment.
Allowing informed purchases is a big one. It kind of borders on several of the points you brought up, and it sounds like that's what you're after in Fighting Shotgun. I borrowed an AK in Fighting Rifle last month because I do not own a rifle. According to the instructors I've trained under, taking the class and loaning a gun before buying one or the other is the way to go. After going through the class with an AK and watching all the other guys go through with ARs I am in a better position to make the call between AKs and ARs than I ever would have been with google or RUclips searches. Even if I do wind up with an AR, I am better equipped to run the gun on day 1 having taken a class with an AK, and I will be worlds better off if I ever somehow wind up with an AK in my hands than if I had only ever run ARs.
Well said. You might also consider taking Fighting Rifle again and borrowing an AR from someone in the class. If you are in the FB group or the GetofftheX forum you can ask there. Give me some lead time and I would be okay to show up and let you use one of mine. I have a Sons of Liberty Gun Works rifle that I am trying to get an excessive about of rounds through. I'll be at Ghost Ring Tactical for the Tactical Camp in March and Valor Ridge for Rifleman 1 in November. Let me know if you sign on to either of those and you are more than welcome to run one of mine.
I just picked the EXO3 upper on Primary Arms, looking forward to it
