Honestly I've had a harder time using ryujinx for totk with everything I have, it just crashes whereas on yuzu it'll work no problem at locked 30fps with some drops (am steam deck as well) Also ive been playing over 100 hours on yuzu no problem so I don't see why anyone should switch just yet untill it's confirmed ryu, or suyu / any of the others finally get a major performance boost

I run it better on Yuzu instead of ryujinx but to be honest I have TOTK on MIG Switch now.

Dude ryujinx runs totk on steam deck worser than yuzu. You cant even achieve 20 fps on ryujinx

@@whatitfeels. I have some other Yuzu stuff on here as well. Ya besides emulation and Parsec don't use my laptop for much else. Can game on console and Steam Deck for that

Emulators are much more complex than you're making them sound. The Steam Deck isn't just going to naturally run a Nintendo Switch emulator better than a Switch does because it's newer and more powerful. Emulators can be extremely demanding even for older consoles, which is proven in how demanding original Xbox emulation is on PC's, where most modern, powerful PC's struggle. The fact the Steam Deck can run Nintendo Switch emulation as well as it does is amazing, but obviously needs a lot of work. And besides, OP is running Yuzu emulator, an emulator that was discontinued development in March. Ryujinx emulator on the other hand is still being actively developed, but I do not know how much effort they are putting into the deck specifically, and I personally don't think that optimizing Switch emulation on the Deck should be a priority for a while with the other work that needs to be done. If you can only have one system and only want to play Switch exclusives, than I agree that you should stick with a real Nintendo Switch, but Nintendo Switch emulation when set up correctly is capable of being a very good, better than real hardware experience. This video isn't a good example either, as you can see someone is running the game far better on the Steam Deck 6 months ago in this video ruclips.net/video/hctpyqy9abI/видео.html (they are also using Yuzu). Outside of the initial setup making the Deck less convenient than the Switch, the Steam Deck is easily capable of giving you a better experience than the Switch, with far more comfortable controls than the joycons, and an 800p screen. Battery life is certainly an issue at this point in time though, yes.

Since my monitor has 90 it can do it. so switch is not that weak. i cant get people buying steam deck for switch emulution or in general. since battery is only lasts 2-3 hours depending on game sometimes its just 1:30 hours. 8K at 60fps? You'll need a dang Nvidia H200 to rock those kind of settings for a game that isn't even designed for those resolutions.
