Hi. Love this video thank you for it! My question is what do you say and/or do when you do the 5 second count down or another classroom management strategy but when you do get to zero there is a student or students that have not followed the directions? Especially with repeat offenders.

I think that classroom jobs are still valuable. I have done them monthly, which helps prevent that weekly pressure. This year, we're doing them quarterly. That way, they get time to really do well.

Brilliant! This is a great idea! I’ve always set out different tubs on tables for students to explore( they have tons of fun), but I’ve never had it done with so much structure. I will definitely do this next year. Especially when organizing school supplies. ❤

You explained this so well. I have done a star of the day for years and my students loved it. However, once I had a principal who liked to micro managed everything and didn't like that I did a star of the day because she felt more students needed to be involved. It was frustrating because I explained how it changed daily, but she didn't care.

Genius!!! My frustration has been replacing names with #'s (I use # order system) and then having to reassign a student due to behavior, a move out, ect). The # changes each time it throws everything off. Any solutions, Friend😊? BTW, I LOVE YOUR IDEAS....A L L OF THEM❤❤❤❤

Agreed! In Kinder the class practices procedures and we all are responsible for cleaning and putting things away. I do the same, a teacher helper of the day I use for anything like passing out a paper or grabbing me a supply or note to the office.
