Hey bro! Great video with good advice for nitro tuning. For me I do mostly trial and error, the main goal is to fire it up, then tune from there as needed. I honestly dont even look at what the factory needle setting are anymore, lol! UK NitroGang division will never die!!

They just banned nitro sales in canada. Almost Tamiya spray paint can't be sold in canada.

Hey johnny i wondering would you have a video of changing the clutch pads and how many plates should be on im Useing a golden horizon 49t metal spur gear . Cheers
@@kristianenglish4453 hi thanks for watching I’m Joey btw 😂 so it’s a Savage you’re asking about well firstly you will probably need a hardened vented clutch bell if you haven’t already got one HPI do a range of different sizes. I’m assuming you have a 4.6 engine or larger 5.9? So I also use a three shoe clutch and I use alloy (HPI) ones but composite shoes are also ok sometimes people say they prefer them as for fitting it’s straight forward i believe I cover in in a video but there are loads of how too vids on RUclips. It’s important to shim the bell well but leave a little play for expansion when hot and then a good mesh👍 feel free to ask about anything I’ve not covered or explained well enough also you could join my FB group for loads of help and advice it called ( S.O.S save our Savages and other beautiful nitros) it’s a private group so you would need to answer so basic questions that are to protect everyone and apply and you will be joined👍 I hope that’s some help👍

Whats up my friend joey nitro! Today must be RC10GT Sunday, cause I was also out running mine today!!! I see why mine got the upgraded metal spur gear on it now lol. Probably the only useful upgrade for those trucks!!

Truggies are the best! My Hobao cats also came with Hobao Savox servers. Hobao used to supply RTR cars with Savox for a while before they switched to cheaper Chinese servos

Hey Joey (is that your regular name?), been watching many Savage 5.9 XL videos including many of yours. I just pulled the trigger on one last night. RChobbyexplosion not only had $50 off the regular price, but also a $60 coupon code, so picked it up for $589 US. The last nitro I had was a Traxxas T-Maxx from probably 20 years ago (I'm an old fart of 62 now). Almost all the factory RTR's require some replacment and upgrades (almost always the servos), so I expect that going in. Hopefully mine will be a newer version with good gears and such. I appreciate your honesty and telling it like it is. 👍
