You just killed the T3 and U2 or you have to cut significantly the price (3 500€) for those units. There is no reason to buy them for the same price like P1 mini.
What’s your recommendation T3 or P1 mini?
I want a demo at home. I didnt buy the T3, it was to bass heavy and lacking nuances, specialin the lows.

Am I right in thinking the only benefit to the U1X is the power supply and case?
@ Lumin, Will U1X be replaced by a newer model, say U2X, soon? or it will be the last flagship model of transport with external power supply?
I know it's annoying, but we can't really comment on future plans.
@@luminmusici am a current D2 owner, and i'm close to pulling the trigger on an X1 ... so it's true that it's annoying not to know :-) ... if you had upgrading (or trade-in) possibility for anyone with your flagship products that would be great to know and would provide a lot of confidence to potential buyer ... also it would be good to know how long you are planning to support "older" products
@ X1 will remain our flagship player for some time. With regard to our support, we always add every feature we can to our older players wherever it's technically possible. For example, we have just begun investigative work into potentially adding Plex support to our very first player launched 10 years ago.

Is it a possibility that the U1X will eventually be able to upsample to DSD256 and PCM 384? It seems that this an important disadvantage compared to the U2.

Hello lumin, so do I get usb sound from lumin u2 mini, or the 2 usb are just for external storage? Thank you
@@alialamri8525 Yes, USB on all our transports is for audio (U1 / U1 Mini / U2 / U2 Mini) output to a DAC. The difference with U2 is that there are slightly fewer electronics in the chain as we have a dedicated USB audio output which doesn't need to auto-detect whether storage/remote control/DAC has been connected.
@@alialamri8525 Yes! USB is for digital audio output as well as other uses on U2 Mini. On U2, there is an additional direct-coupled USB which has fewer electronic components in the chain, but they all support the same bitrates, etc
Did I hear correct the possibility of a eq in the processor in the future ?
It's a much-requested feature, so we are giving it some careful thought. No promises currently.
Took a while to burn , require effort in room set up but sounds excellent when you do all this.
Mine arrived last night.......Blown away .........They are the best kept secret among guys that what to hear music the way it was meant to be heard.....Love these !!!
I have them in walnut. Beautiful and sound excellent right out of the box but are sounding even better the more I play them. Design and craftsmanship at the price point is amazing. I love them!

Horrible music but good overview.
Sound quality of Play-Fi is best. The reliability is poor and the app is not near anything a quality brand like Quad should be associated with. DTS, please have a look how e.g. Yamaha and Sonos have done this and go shame yourselves.
Is it really so bad? I thought of buying a amp because of this connectivity. I want it as easy as possible an get out the best result. Na I think everybody wants that. But paying so much for something that is so poor will not be an option.
