Not starting without starter fluid is most likely a choke plate, fuel delivery through carb, or valve issue (not adjusted properly) bogging down after hitting a sapling and not recovering I would say that's a carb or governer issue, and the not spknning as fast, be sure that the pulley is the same size and it's running at the proper rpms

That's what it's idled at since it was bought and has been fine, i think it had slight vacuum leak somewhere but it has since been sold so it's no longer a concern of mine

Right! These tecumsehs sound weird on certain machines I've found but it's a 4 stroke, still never found a cheap bag for it though 😢

Yeah some kits aren't good quality, the primer bulb itself isn't always the issue though, it could be internal with the carb, thanks for the comment adam

Tall grass tends to bog down any engine, i recommend weedeating the area first and then use a mower

@jameslawnmowerrepair ok. I found out recently that my governor linkage wasn't adjusted properly on my engine, which most likely caused the bogging issue. Don't have any tall grass to test it out on yet though, but i may have some by end of the month. Going to be receiving a tachometer by mail, to adjust rpm also, which should help too.

Some of the new new stuff is like that, it's because all of that stuff is still made by mtd, the commercial cub cadet stuff is good, this piece of equipment is not good because it's compiled of Chinese parts and the Chinese built powermore engines, any good piece of equipment needs to have a good briggs, kohler, or kawasaki engine on it, their warranties are crap, and yes husqvarna is good 👍 but watch it on some of their products as well, "lawn tractor transmission mounts" not sure on the zero turns though, I've only seen one zero turn trans mounts fail but that's it

They have lots of parts but that's certainly something they should look into making

It's been m9ved around a few times since this video but I just start it and run it a while to keep it running, I haven't looked into it completely again, I'm thinking it may be a loose chassis ground somewhere, or worst case the computer with the tach going wild, but still good luck on your durango

Nope, it's just the sound of the opposed twins they all pretty much soud like that, I have three of them all on different mowers, this, a craftsman, and a yardman by mtd and they all sound like that when I idle them down low so it's normal but when I first got them I questioned if it was a rod knock but it isn't, thank you for the comment and concern, please stop by the channel again!

@@jameslawnmowerrepair i have a 12.5 Briggs apposed horizontal shaft on a snapper Lt12 and it doesn't sound like that engine

​@OkemonPlays-ux5vm engines are all worn differently and have different lives before their current owners, this one sat for a long time but it came with a book of all of the previous servicing done from new to when it was parked, it wasn't abused but it's been used for sure

I'm so sorry i haven't looked at comments in ages, you can get one from amazon, ebay, or pretty much any online store, I recommend hipa, I get stuff sent to me from them amd the carbs are pretty good

That's an awesome story, thanks for sharing 👍 for me ive had a few poulan saws ans they have been no issue machines, if they are repaired right, they run forever, also side note, I just had to take the top cover off and the carb/airbox assembly to replace my fuel lines, best of luck with your saw reassembly

that could be the fuel filter not setting all the way at the bottom of the tank... or maybe it needs replaced.

It's possible but as the other guy in replies said it sounds like fuel filter not sitting in bottom of tank, thanks for the comment and subscription, really appreciate the support

It is but only for tall brush and weeds, not at all for shrubs or any type of wood stuff

@@jameslawnmowerrepair I've got an Earthquake. String works on everything no matter the size except for the woody stuff. That requires a different attachment.
