Art Cisneros Shares at Chumash Trails Day
On October 10, 2021, Montecito Trails Foundation, The Tribal Trust Foundation and the Barbareño Band of Chumash Indians hosted Chumash Trails Day, Old Trails, New Soles, in Montecito. Participants gathered for an opening program of thoughts shared and then set off on self-guided hikes to experience the trails with a new perspective. Indigenous People's Day is a time to reflect on the importance of honoring the Indigenous People of the world and acknowledging the land we stand on is the ancestral land of vibrant cultures that are still very much alive today.
