The Legacy of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal
Ahmad ibn Hanbal, born in 164 AH in Baghdad, rose from orphanhood to become a towering scholar. Guided by his mother, he traveled extensively to learn from esteemed scholars, including Imam Al-Shafi'i. During the Mihna under Caliph Al-Ma'mun, he faced imprisonment for his steadfast belief in the Quran's uncreated nature. After his release, he taught in mosques, leaving a lasting legacy of courage and knowledge until his death in 241 AH.
