In the 2nd draft of the "Godfather" script, the Paramount was to be presented "austerely over a black background". I decided to create what it might look like if this was done for the 2002 DVD/2008 Bluray release. I created the cards in Photoshop while I timed it with the 2002 DVD in Premiere. Enjoy! Logo Variation Recreation: Godfather 1972 Theatrical

According to the 2nd draft of the "Godfather" screenplay, the movie opened with "the Paramount logo presented austerely on a black background". Since no record of this opening seems to exist, I decided to recreate what it might have looked like when it was released in 1972. I recreated the cards in Photoshop and timed it with the 2002 DVD in Premiere. Enjoy! DISCLAIMER: THE GODFATHER, FILM, TEX...

I love the Intro
Wasn't the Road Caesar bumper only used _once?_
No idea. Haven’t watched the show. 😳
Yeah. I dunno why, but you'd think it woulda been used more than once.
I’ll be honest with you, this fanfare composed by James Horner is so beautiful it makes me cry. May he rest in peace.
Dinoking is the OG volcanicus
Yeah, even for his being a repaint of Abominus and his components.
Unalive yourself pedophile freak.
Bang
Bellissimi i Victory trasformers
I love the Outro
I highly doubt the screenplay mentioned that. Maybe a transcript written after release, but not the draft of the screenplay. I’m a screenwriter and director, and you don’t write the opening studio logos into a screenplay. And even with that in mind, I’m pretty sure it’s just referring to the “Paramount Pictures Presents” text.
This show can be cheeesy and weird but god damn it I can't help myself but smile while listening to this intro I love it.
Well it was a little cheesy and wierd but I am in love when I hear this song and I sure love the bumper theme song and the outro is victorius... but it sure is funnier in japanese language!
1:21 The part I came for .
how i loved that, very clean 💙
Man u rly like movies and stuff I just saw the comment u did on Watch Mojo and did 1 myself😅
The Nixaless I do. It was really just a matter of thinking of what I’ve seen parodies of since I was a kid on cartoons and such.
Yeah. Too bad he hates the MCU for no reason and hopes (False hope) that Marvel gets sold off.
@@achaudhari101 I hate the MCU because it’s crap now. Same with Star Wars. Both thanks to Modern Disney.
@@ForceMaximus84 Why it took two years to respond is weird. But your hatred for both of them is misguided since Disney hasn’t interfered in their business.
Could u make a link on how to do this
Metalhead312 I can tell you a basic overview. I took a still of the logo from the era when the movie came out and put it into Adobe Photoshop to remove the mountain and sky. I then saved it as a PNG and put it on a timeline in Adobe Premiere, laid the music under it and added a fade effect on the PNG. I also had to recreate the text via a font website (can’t remember which one), found a still of the title card and added fades to both. I hope this wasn’t too confusing. Lol
Where is the Mountain
Not that the paramount logo appeared that way, there was no logo to begin with,It just started with paramount pictures presents. The standard logo from the time appeared in the end though
Joshua Ortiz I’m aware of that. It’s just a fanmade hypothetical.
Hey
😀😀
Thoughts?
Good shit
I think this show is absolutely amazing, on of the best No one of "THE BEST" transformers shows next to the original G1 american cartoon, prime, and beast wars.
I have never heard of this show
I have a theory: there's a forum I was on years ago discussing the replacement of old studio logos, and it specifically mentioned The Godfather. One reply said that apparently when it was originally released in 1972, the film had no Paramount logo at the start, just opening with "Paramount Pictures presents" in white text (which wouldn't be too out of the question: two Fox films from around the same time, Patton and Tora! Tora! Tora!, both had text-only opening credits originally) - the appearance of the 1968 logo on the 1990 VHS was probably just spliced in. So it's possible that the screenplay stating the Paramount logo be austerely presented on a black background literally just meant having "Paramount Pictures presents" as the first thing to appear on screen. I can't confirm this is the case (unless someone is able to upload the original 1974 television premiere of the film - all future airings had it as part of "The Novel For Television" edition that opens with the 1975 logo), but that's my best guess.
Andrew Brinkerhoff That may have been me, and if so, I was misinformed. The original VHS release did indeed have no logo, but it is more likely that it was blacked out on the video release for whatever reason, because there is just music over black where the logo would go. I would just assume that the standard 1968-74 logo was what was at the start of the movie.
Andrew Brinkerhoff That could be the case. It makes the most sense at least. As for Fox movies without the logo, you can add two more 70s films to the list: 1972's The Poseidon Adventure and 1974's The Towering Inferno, both of which were produced by the same guy, Irwin Allen.
Yep - also 1972's Trouble Man, and apparently also the 1970 erotic film Myra Breckenridge.
no paramount logo from the start? You mean like this? ruclips.net/video/DnxQZRoJddg/видео.html
That’s entirely possible. I think every release since at least 1997 has had the logo in front silently, then the music starts up with the text appearing afterwards. So, it could be that that’s what Coppola wanted all along, but studio interference insisted the logo be there. It’s just guess work, really.
where did the mountain go? i want the mountain show us.
+Dan Cos yeah but what kind of paramount logo is that????!!!!
Lol I couldn’t figure out how to recreate the mountain without it looking like garbage.
Interesting presentation, though I suspect what the description was suggesting was something along the lines of either the Saul Bass-designed logo that opened PSYCHO (albeit in the Gulf+Western style and not the "A Paramount Picture" of that period), or maybe the still graphic one on yellow background that followed the WB logo at the beginning of WATCHMEN.
It’s entirely possible. I guess I was making my own interpretation of it.
