River Banks Outdoor Adventures RVRBNX
I started River Banks Outdoor Adventures RVRBNX
in 2017 when I went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina surf fishing.
I would send videos and pictures back to my son Drake. I then started the
RUclips channel to keep the videos together. I made the channel public
and shared it with the family and friends. I enjoy making videos about anything outdoors.
I am no expert and will screw up a lot but, I continue to learn and possibly make
some friends along the way. I love to fly fish, conventional, noodle and surf fish.
Camping, bushcraft, diving, outdoor open pit cooking and any other trouble I can get into!

I MADE IT BACK TO THE OBX!!! My most recent trip to Cape Hatteras, was an eventful one. I never video the first few days mainly because I am trying to get back into the swing of things. We did catch some monbster Bluefish including a 21" Blue, a 32" flounder and my personal best shark which I didnt measure. but it was bigger than any in Oklahoma lol. I find it difficult to video if there is now...

#OBXFLYFISHING #RVRBNX #riverbanksoutdooradventures So I have an obsession with trying to catch a Red Drum on the fly. This is a DIY and scouting video from my recent trip to Cape Hatteras. I fished the Pamlico Sound from Avon down to Buxton and the Salt Pond at the Point. Mostly I fished the area by the islands by Buxton. This place has a good amount of cover and structure for fish. Beware of ...
Future Beach Water Skate Kayak I got on Facebook Market Place
Просмотров 832 месяца назад
So I found this kayak on Facebook Marketplace. I paid $50 for it and I think it was a good deal since all the other kayaks were double to $300 for local pick up. I made this video because I couldn't find any information on the internet about them. To me the hull design is awesome. It gives great stability and treks through the water really well. I love the molded handles. Now it didn't come wit...

Don't burn cast iron in fire! It can damage the iron permanently. His 400° controlled heat is fine.
Thank you for watching! Yes, you can put cast iron in a fire to strip it down and re-season it, but it's essential to follow some guidelines to avoid damaging the metal. Create a fire with moderate heat, around 500°F to 600°F (260°C to 315°C). You want the fire to be hot enough to burn off the old seasoning but not so hot that it damages the metal. If it gets too hot (above 700°F or 371°C), remove it from the fire to avoid damaging the metal. # After the Fire 1. *Let it cool*: Once you've removed the cast iron from the fire, let it cool completely. This is an important step, as you don't want to quench the metal in water while it's still hot. 2. *Scrub and clean*: Use a stiff brush and soap to scrub away any remaining debris or residue. Rinse the cast iron thoroughly with hot water. 3. *Re-season the cast iron*: Once the cast iron is clean and dry, apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the surface. Place the cast iron in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for an hour to allow the oil to polymerize and form a new seasoning. Remember to always use caution when working with fire and hot metal. If you're unsure about any part of the process, consider seeking guidance from a professional or using alternative methods to strip and re-season your cast iron.
I lived in Oklahoma for 15 years and they would shut everything down with a dusting of snow. This little bit of snow reminds me of that 😅
@@jqentertainment6966 the last time I remember snow like this was in ‘88. I prefer snow to an ice storm. Thanks for watching!
@riverbanksoutdooradventures I lived there in 2009 for the Xmas eve blizzard. That was nuts
@ I remember that one also. This go round I pulled an 18 wheeler up a hill in my Tacoma. This is one snow storm I’ll remember.
Absolutely beautiful! Really enjoyed your video. Got 8 inches where I live here in Johnston County.
Avid fly fisherman, bass, trout, love it! But, that Clouser pounding a $400.00 rod in the wind got old! If its calm, maybe we'll try that again! Happy New Year! 🏝🐟🙏
@@johnmorganjr769 thank you for watching! I may end up at the Texas coast chasing tail! Good luck and tight lines!
I'm not going to knock you too hard for buying that but damn that thing is a legless dog of a kayak. I would actually consider that a toy. Sorry bro
@@dannialgarcia309 gets me on the water. Definitely not my hobie
Unfortunately Ten Acre Rock is on private property now. I live 30 mins southeast, just a tad south of Milburn. I work on trains at Martin Marietta, so im right by it alot. Last time i went to 10 Acre, we walked down the trail sto the water hole behind it. Out of nowhere a gentleman and his two young daughters walk up on us, and nicely tell us they have bought the land it is not public access now. He was super nice but did ask us to leave. I drove by there just a few weeks ago, theyve cleared out a ton by the rock, where its all visible from the road now. I assume to help keep people out. I always wanted to go to Devils Den but it closed when i was a small child. Now the road to it dead ends at a house.
@@stanstclair475 devils den is beautiful. I went in the 90’s
You need a weedeater
I really do. It all gone now. I had to cut the tree down and burn it.
New follower (#419) from the Florida Panhandle area. Nice video Sir!
Awesome! Thank you for watching! I am wanting to come to Florida and fish soon.
I got your back keep up gods work It's not what you put in your mouth it's what comes out old chap Stay positive
Red neck means working out in the sun like a dog to feed your family
Definitely! Thank you for watching! I love cooking outdoors!
You so red neck.! I love it
good video and outdoor cooking sending love from Texhoma
Thank you for watching! Texoma is HOME!
Great video, but you need to have your camera in a more stable mount. It moves around too much.
Thank you for watching! Yes I just held the GoPro in my hand instead of mounting it the other GoPro I had mounted above but I didn’t like the footage. If it were zoomed in some.
I know this video is 5 years old but it don't matter. Been using cast iron all my life, just now discovered the cook it all. I'm sold, can't wait to get my hands on one. How do you like it 5 years later? Thanks from Weatherford, TX.
@@trogdor1979 I don’t use it near enough like I should. I plan on lots of use this fall and deer season
@@trogdor1979 I am planning on utilizing the wok this fall for camping and deer camp. Looking at recipes. May end up making sausage and egg burritos. Thank you for watching!
I thought I saw a striper or two under the bridge at the park a couple of weeks ago but I wasn't sure. I guess that answers my question. Makes sense that some could have made their way up the creek. Now they are on my list, about the only thing I haven't caught in there yet.
I dove the dam again 2 weeks ago and there are still some stripers there. Thank you for watching!
Great video
Thank you sir
I’ve spent a few summers swimming there back in the day.
There’s a lot of catfish there right now. That’s great!
That’s a nice setup. I love the “nook” feel to it as seen in thumbnail. Have fun with it
Thank you! Thank you for watching
I'm surprised you still can't see Nelson Ross's tire tracks in that sand.
Holy crap. Wonder if some of the banks will be different
can't hear you!
Yes, old GoPro. I need a lapel microphone.
Dang
Looks awesome! What part of the river were you all on during day 2 while fishing for smallmouth?
N 569 Road just off Highway 10. Eagle Bluff Resort is across the river. Hit up Donavan Clary Fishing if interested in awesome float trip for multi-species down the Upper Illinois River. It’s a blast and beautiful waters. FYI in the summer there is a “rubber Caddis hatch” of people floating in rafts and kayaks and it does get crowded but we are alway able to locate the fish.
@@riverbanksoutdooradventures thanks for the info! I plan on hitting Clary up whenever my schedule aligns with his openings. I love the HSB area for fly fishing for white bass but I’ve been looking for more access points for wadable smallmouth fishing. Thanks!
It was so neat to see our river froze up. I was there that whole week. Cant wait to see where all you take the drone in future!! Keep on dropping the vids!!
Love the drone view!
Cool!!!
I kept waiting for you to land on the ice! Lol
hello, is this considered a part of lake texoma? it sure looks like it to me, but cant really tell
At one time it was. The Washita River has silted in the river channel from the Widow Moore Lake.
@@riverbanksoutdooradventures thank you!!
@@riverbanksoutdooradventures is it a public fishery? thanks
Yes sir it is public. Access is from Silo Road down Widow Moore Road
@riverbanksoutdooradventures I remember fishing in 1985 before the historic freeze killed large #of big stripers, went to that area unloading our boat from Newberry creek but 😂 couldn't find it last couple of December's. Is it totally blocked off like really ?? Can any fish species (striper ) get into those creeks ?
Killer drone shots man!
I love drone coverage of the Blue. Thank you
Thank you sir!
Hey Gulf Stream brother. Wife and I just bought one a couple of months ago. Maiden voyage will be Dec 1st. I really wish I had better carpentry skills. Looking good, enjoy
Thank you I am a RUclips Certified Carpenter!
Great content! Just the cauldron/stew pot video and info I was looking for! I am making wool felt hats in uncommon shapes ( bycocket, bicorn, tricorn, pirate, fez, etc) and am looking for a caudron to boil wool hat blanks in. Now I know a 30 will work for me AND an easier way of reseasoning if I buy used! Used cauldron prices are spooky high here!
Yeehaw🎉
Is this Bromide?
No this is near Mill Creek
Is it open to the public? Or just for your public safety training stuff?
Sound/volume is bad.
I need a mic.
Love it! Thought he was gonna snag you out of the air 😆
I did too. I backed off. I was flying around and saw it and I was like is that an Eagle?
I dont think that river has many fish in it . Fished it this summer 2023 for 3 days and didnt catch any didnt see any either. First time skunked in Colorado
Hey its me Everett I help you once when you went to Bridge Veiw, I would like to say that I enjoyed that time I was there. Good to see you continue the journey.
Hey Everett! Good to hear from you!

Why even use a net. Were you fishing with a twig?
You seriously needed to net that small bass?
Holy tank

Wishin i was fishin lol. Glad y'all had a good trip
Congrats on the Oklahoma Butter! Special fish!
😂
I have never caught a Brown Trout... That is awesome. We have Palominos down here in the Guadalupe. I've seen them swing all around me but I haven't been able to catch one yet.
That is my first one! I actually caught a 6” later but did t get it on video. I haven’t caught a banana yet!
That is awesome.... How long did it take to get that organized? This would be great at our senior center here.
Actually all came together in a few phone calls. Started calling and 1 week later it happened
@@riverbanksoutdooradventures that is really cool. Great job and way to think outside of the box.
