Hello Fellow enthusiasts! This channel is for pure enjoyment. I am not filming these fishing trips for any other purpose. I am not the greatest angler, sometimes I catch and sometimes I don't. This is just me sharing my adventures, good or bad, Enjoy! I grew up fishing south Louisiana and I am creating fishing content simply for your enjoyment. I am not a pro angler or a guide, Just a regular "Joe". But I am out to try some different things and bring fishing content from a real point of view.
Bayou Liberty bass! 1 29 24
I was a brutal day in open water so I went inside and nailed a limit of bass to save the day. We are so lucky to live where we do, we have back up plans for our back up plans!! Bass were hungry in Bayou Liberty and very easy to catch even on a day with questionable conditions. Welcome to South Louisiana!!

Slow start on a beautiful day But ended up with a box for dinner. There is more to life than speckled trout. That's what is so grand about this estuary. When you want a fish fry you can definitely find it. #inshorefishing #speckledtrout #whitetrout #louisiana #fishing

Fishing Trout!!! Louisiana Speckled Trout
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
The wind was up and it was chilly but I managed to catch over 25 Speckled Trout (25 keepers). It is the beginning of fall in October and it is already on fire out here in the Rigolets and Lake Catherine. It's a beautiful thing!!
Specks are Getting Hungry! 10 5 23

It was a nice day out. Overcast at first. The water temperature is still just under 80 so the shrimp and specks have not quite started migration but i do believe the stage is set for a very good fall fishing pattern.
Trolling for Bass in The Kayak! Jan 14th 23

On a cold windy Day The Bass were pushed out of the marsh because of low water! Trolling was my easy option and I figured it was worth a try.
How to fry Fish and Fish eggs!!!!
Просмотров 246Год назад
I like to fry my Fish for about 5 to 7 minutes so they can get real crispy! Be very careful frying fish eggs they can explode and pop hot grease all over. Cook the eggs slow and when they are pretty much all floating in the grease take them out. Enjoy!!!!
Limit of Bass out the Kayak!!!! Jan 7th 23

I took the Kayak out in Slidell on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. I was able to catch a limit! And that felt good!
I love the fall in Louisiana!!!!

Catching Speckled trout under birds is one of the best techniques in the fall migration pattern. This is around the Rigolets area.

Kayak Fishing! On the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain for speckled trout, But i ended up with something a little different. This was the last morning of a hard freeze where the temps stayed below freezing most of the day. I was looking for deep holes and clean water.

You should do a bayou liberty crappie video
Looks like Matrix shad shrimp creole....Nice base brother
It is the Shrimp Creole. Probably the best all around bait. I like using it. It's pretty clutch on hard days.
In the 50’s and early 60’s fished Lake Catherine with my dad. We had a 10 hpw wizard and would rent wooden skiff at Becker’s bait camp. We would buy live shrimp from big floating boxes for 1 cent a piece. What great memories for a young boy.
I grew up in NOLA my day and I fished with my mother’s cousin out of his camp in MertleGrove , he had a camp out in a cut in the marsh between two bays . His name was Harold Robecheats not sure how to spell. He would park on a canal by the hwy. paddle a piqrouqe across the canal to his closed in storage lower his big imboard boat a 17 ft, Thompson hull with a car engine to go out to his camp. Every time I went at 12 years old he had a load of cement test cylinder to all and put on an area he was working on his bulkhead. He had a hand pile driver, 3’ piece of piling with 2x4 handle to drive boards in on bulkhead. He named it Monday. Used on Sunday felt on Monday. But his mom and dad had the camp next door and she could really cook. Fishing was like heaven, done from aluminum flats and pirouque for duck ponds specks and red out of sight. Harold called Squirrel could come out on his dock look at the tide and ask what do you want specs or reds. He really knew the area. This was in 1961-62. Great memories.
I love hearing about the history of places thank you for sharing. I grew up down Cocodrie, and it was very similar. Good times.
Just curious why don't you do catch clean and cook's no offense but almost 80 % of fishing videos don't do clean and cook's honestly I don't even watch them anymore nothing different, and watch how many more likes and subscribe you'll get important text
Im tired of asking for a catch clean and cook because obviously you not going to do them
I wish you would read your comments because im watching all your videos and u not showing the clean and cook parts, why not a lot of us viewers want to see that
Im going to keep asking,❓ Where's the fish fry i know you keeping some and if you keeping them you cooking them up
Where's the fish Fry i love watching y'all cook them up makes me want to go buy some fresh trout and flounder and redfish
That's what's happening catch clean and cook so many U-Tubers don't keep them or cook them up what a waste Fishing what is the meaning of that im old school i catch them and I cook them up and they taste great When I see a video with catch clean and cook i definitely want to watch that
Where did you launch from? I have a 16ft flat bottom with a 20hp on the back.
I launched from Island marina on lake Catherine.
That channel mullet, we call robal down da bayou Lafourche, is some of the best tasting fish they have. Catch alot trawling. Great video.
Yea man, there are alot of other fish besides trout and redfish that don't get enough respect in the frying pan. I am hoping to show people what they are as I fish because I see people asking about different species of fish in the fishing reports so maybe it will help them out. I am from Cocodrie so I can relate with you.
Love all your videos. I just got a boat 14x48 with a25hp. Just want to know where do you launch from. Keep up the great videos lm learning a lot from them.
I had a 1448 with a 25 and I used to launch at Ft Pike because it is free and I never had any problems there. Since I bought my new boat I have to launch at Island Marina because its a little deeper for my boat which is bigger than my old one and they have a fish cleaning station. See you on the water captain!

Great video. I went out the day before and it was nice conditions just like that and I came home with just four specs. Caught two mega size flounders on jerkbait but had to throw them back. Something's going on with the birds right now
Yea I think you are right the birds are grouping differently this year. It's almost like the shrimp are moving out in smaller groups or there are less of them, I don't know lol.
What size rod and reel??
White trout are good to eat when you cook them the same day you catch them. You freeze them and the meat is mushy and not firm like a speckle trout. Spec’s you can freeze the filet in water and can keep them several months. 👍 enjoyed the video. Geaux Tigers! 👍🇺🇸🙏
Big well little well tiny fish
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 15:13
How deep is the water where you caught that bull red 8:30
How did you do today?
Not good, It just wasnt my day. I went all over the place. The only action I saw was those birds and they were gone real quick.
How many times have you mistakenly stepped in that foot pedal tray? 😂
Hahahaha just a couple lol. My foot pedal is too big for it but I don't mind because I use it to hold stuff while I fish instead.
Good stuff
Thank you I am glad you are enjoying the adventures!
I just subscribed, I love the content
Thank you!! I'm just looking to have some fun out there!
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
conditions look pretty good. What day was this. I remember seeing you over there on the north east side of bay jaune as i was coming out of counterfeit pass on my way to seven lagoons.
Nothing wrong with white trout man. Find them perfect if you fry ‘‘em same day and don’t freeze them. Good video! Kelly
Yea you right. I clean them as fast as I can and then I like to marinate white trout in yellow mustard before I fry them. It kills that wild flavor they have.
I have to say those white trout do get a lot bigger. Caught many between 2and 4 lbs. In empire.
Yes they do, I was catching like medium sized ones
I see you brought your towel and didn't have to wipe your hands on your pants. Thanks for sharing
Yes I did!!! My wife was happy about that. lol
I thought that was you I seen over there👍
Hahaha Kinda hard to miss lol. I wanted the Burgundy colored boat but the only one that had the options I wanted was this bright red lol. Could prolly spot it from the moon hahaha
Enjoying the videos from AL
Thank you so much! I make the videos because it's fun to relive the fishing trips and I am extremely happy nice people like yourself enjoy watching and hopefully I spill some knowledge that might help the next guy. Thank you.
Was lake catherine more productive than the rigolets? Enjoyed the video. I will be heading over to louisiana right after thanksgiving. Plan on making a couple of trips while I am there. Have a great week. 👍🇺🇸🙏
Right now in these conditions Lake Catherine is more productive than the Rigolets but after Thanksgiving as the weather gets cold and the shrimp have migrated out the specks will find deep holes and cover to hang out.
@@chasintailswithrobichaux3924 yep…..its been a long time since I fished that area….I will be heading that way from Clearwater Florida right after Thanksgiving….we are going to fish Delacroix. Enjoy the World Series of speckle trout ole boy!
@@dontrump9362 Hahahah I don't fish the tournaments. I aint that good lol. I hope yall have a good time when you fish out here. Just get out early and take in a good breath of fresh air when the sun starts to break. Yall have fun!
I finished eastern Lake Saint Catherine Friday, mixed bag until I got on the birds, and then it was nothing but monster bowl, ridge and speckle trout. When you could get past the bow Ridge, I even managed to have my rig ripped out of my hand never to be seen again, yes I’ll say it again he snatched the pole straight out of my hands😂
Nice, I’m going that way tomorrow!
Caught over 50 last weekend in one spot. We had a blast.
This fall is turning out pretty good and it's just getting going
Awesome day and not many throw backs .....bluebird day and the wind was fishable.....Nice limit
Yea it started out ruff but after about 9:30 the wind layed down a little and it warmed up. Perfect day.
Where are you fishing out of in this video?
I'm fishing in Lake Catherine just south of Lake Pontchartrain
ID LOVE TO GO LETS GET HOOKED I HEARD A FEW GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS GUY ALWAYS ON THE FISH KNOWS WHERE TO GO GET THE YELLOW MOUTH FROM PISTOL PETE
Robichaux, you makin me homesick man! Nothin better than fishin the South Louisiana marsh in October. Two questions for ya. What type of popping cork you using and what brand boat you got there? Tight lines brother!
Yea October and November is the best time of the year. The cork is a 4 horseman and the boat is the Polar Kraft TX175 Pro
New subscriber here, like seeing how people fish in different areas of the world! Do you go into your techniques and equipment in some of your videos? Going to go check out more
Honestly the gear is pretty simple and I go into it every once in a while. I am glad you asked that, I probably should do that more. I will make it a point to show more of what I use and why.
If there is any part of it you are curious about I would be glad to chat with you. I like talkin fishin
Where you watching from?
What part of LA your fishing in
I'm fishing in the Rigolets and Lake Catherine area just south of Lake Pontchartrain.
