POV Truck Driving - Euro 6 Iveco ACCO
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.3 года назад
The new Euro 6 compliant Iveco ACCO was released just over a year and a half ago. I didn't think I'd be able to drive one for a while, however I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to get behind the wheel of a demo recently. Everything that was quintessential to the original ACCO is practically non-existent in this latest model. I believe the ACCO badged should have been retired along with...
POV Truck Driving - Automated Garbage Collection - Iveco ACCO/Superior Pak Raptor (Part 1)

Some fresh GoPro action, this time featuring a late model Iveco ACCO with a Series V Superior Pak Raptor Body. This video also shows some streets/lane-ways that are a little bit more difficult to navigate, especially when it's raining and dark. You've always gotta have your wits about you maneuvering down these tight streets especially when you're passing parked cars and other objects with less...
POV Truck Driving - Automated Garbage Collection. (Part 2)

The first GoPro video I uploaded earlier this year received some positive feedback. This was taken on the same day as Part 1, so it's pretty much indifferent. The footage is pretty much self explanatory. Enjoy!

Something a little different this time. Got a GoPro, strapped it to my head and videoed myself doing my thing driving a garbage truck. Enjoy :)
I drive a Garbage Truck - Recycling Collection, Part 3
Просмотров 10 тыс.5 лет назад
Part 3, this time I opted to drive with the windows down to drown out all those in-cab noises like in my two previous videos. Not something I usually do cause I hate the dust and smells getting into the cab. Also this seems to make the engine sound more pronounced, tell me what you think. Hope you enjoy!

Zach how's it going down in newcastle council
Hello Zac 👋!! I have 2 questions about solo Gateshead. Was there ever a 2231 and 2232 there? Why would they skip 2231 and 2232?
Good idea having 2 steering wheels as it makes it easier to see bins and having a side collector which eliminates the need of extra bin men. Alot different here as the loading bit as the back is at the back and have 3 or 4 bin men running around collecting bins every 50 yrds.
Cool nice job 👍
Been doing this for 20 years, and I still can't get my head around driving with the window open while picking up. Recycling or not, people put some nasty shit in those bins, and the worst, in my opinion, is vacuum cleaner dust. You don't know what's in that shit, and I'd really prefer not to breathe it in. All it takes us a slight shift in the breeze, and it comes in the cab. Not to mention the crap all over the dash and whatnot. No thanks, window's shut unless I'm driving to the dump.
its stopping in front of bin each time baffles me. A cctv camera?
Howdy, I was wondering how do you know how to line up next to the bin please? is there something on the screen? I know years of experience is why you can do it, but how would a person new to this know when to stop on the right spot? thanks and kind regards
Pretty much mate, after picking up 1,000 plus bins a day it just becomes second nature. You’ll workout pretty quickly when to start slowing down on approach to the bin. It’s all done off the mirrors, when they’re positioned and angled the correct way you know they’re in line with the grabs. The reparative nature of the job too helps to hone the skill.
@@Ivecofan21 thanks so much, hoping to start training 1st week Sept, cheers
@@matthewparker4101 No worries, good stuff. It’s good fun driving the one armers, where abouts are you going?
@@Ivecofan21 I am hoping at preston. It is keeping up with the numbers as a newbie that is a concern. Safety is important and I hope it is not suggested to "cut corners" You made it look so smooth.
@@Ivecofan21 also there are no training course, you may have to set up a side hustle :)
Great video mate !👏👏
Nice one mate!!

Nice Zac, what truck was that at 24:30 ? Will you be driving the Isuzu trucks when they come?
Thanks mate, that would’ve been Ash in 2636. Probably not, as I don’t drive anymore.
@Ivecofan21 do you do things in the council office now instead of driving the garbo trucks? What was your favourite truck to drive out of the current council fleet?
@@garbosinthehunter5199 Probably 6278 and 6454.
@@Ivecofan21 why would u stop lol looks to fun

Nice Zac. It going to be sad when we say goodbye to 5965

THANK U SOOO MUCH FOR UPLOADING I APPRECIATE IT
nice one mate, thanks for the upload 😉
the thing that gets me with dennis pov's is how wide the truck feels despite it still being the typical 2.5m in width that most trucks are in australia and other European countries. good stuff
Nice to know
Hello 👋 I have got some questions about the past I thought you might be able to answer. What rear loader did Maitland use prior to 6515? Was it an ACCO? What was it's signage? What was it's fleet number? And how long did Maitland have it?
6515 was the first rear loader we’ve had for a long time. They use to have old International ACCO rear-loaders in the 80s/90s before the side loaders. We are getting a new Rear-Loader very soon for bulk-waste collection!
@Ivecofan21 oh ok interesting 🤔 On Tuesday 07/03/23, Craig (6327 driver) told Ethan that Maitland is getting 4 new trucks next week. Is that true? If so, are they rear or side loaders?
Is this in the suburb of Maitland
This is in the CBD
This sounds exactly like the truck that comes by my place in melbourne. Who makes these trucks?
Plea Mac a new video in 2022 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice Zac you know that this is just down the road from my home and is truck #1811
Does 2241 normally do Thornton? A few ago weeks I was in Thornton on a recycle week and I seen 2243 there and thought it was its normal run but this video made me question "was it its normal run?" Cause 2243 has been doing Jim's (Maitland garbo) recycle bin recently but it's normally 2241.
Same thing here. I have been wondering where #2241 is.
Nice as mate!
Nice work
Love your videos
Did your old truck 2241 crash and did it get signed off
Question: are there any cameras for the driver to see what is dumped from the can itself or just outside of the truck to see the can being picked up? I'm curious because a neighbor throws away all kinds of construction stuff and "hides" it in garbage bags so that the driver can't see it supposedly. Kind of curious what the driver sees and how they deal with stuff being thrown away that isn't supposed to be in the trash (like I mentioned, construction stuff like plywood, etc.). Edit...nevermind, looks like they can see it and I guess there's nothing they can do about it or they don't care?
Have\will you film a video whilst someone else is filming you?
Amazing stuff here mate👍 I love this style of vidoes you make, just put a GoPro on your head lol. Keep the great work up bro🔥
I'm confused, so u drive recycling and u drive general waste for Maitland. have u chosen to leave solo and applied for a bin collection job at Maitland?
This looks like its near my house
Yep, other side of the highway though
@@Ivecofan21 ok I did film this truck
@@Ivecofan21 were u in 5965 today? I think I saw u drive past Chisolm in 5965 at 3:12pm.

nice work, was wondering wether or not you’d chuck up a second video, doing good with the truck I assume, you use it that much now?
Thanks. This was a trial truck, we only had it for a few weeks earlier on in the year.
