I'm a musician, I love all kinds of music but have a particular love of Uilleann Pipes, low whistle, tin whistle and guitar! I also hand make Uilleann pipes.

Absolutely beautiful! Wow!
Brilliant.......
Fantastic performance, this has always been a great and calming section of the classic album, Ommadawn.
Cool
Great playing and beautiful sounding pipes. May I ask who made them?
I'm an uilleann pipe maker, all of this set was handmade by myself. The chanter was made for a customer so I was just demonstrating it. Thanks!
Incredible and all vibrato and grace notes perfect, tiny thing the pause at very end of low sustained note more effective as just half a beat rather than a dull crotchet so there is a sense of continuity. I’m govsmacked by your musicality. Thank you immensely for creating such immense beauty.
Thanks Julian and well spotted 😂. I had such a challenge getting set up to record this as I don’t have a proper studio, this is actually my workshop where I manufacture Uilleann pipes. The camera kept falling over and the mix in my headphones was so low that I had to cut those notes short so that I could hear when to come in for the next section. Thanks for commenting, glad you enjoyed it!
Just perfect ❤ thank you
Wow oh how I cried, I could, would, should if I had died been content in my heart to do so, if it were in order to hear this piece of peaceful music echo on in my ears for eternity~~~ 4ever reminding me of the love & life I'd lived, I'd have been ha ha happy to then rest within this peace...
Gosh gosh gosh. You’ll wear out your fingers!! Well done you.
Very accurate playing, amazing . One question only Which are the keys of the two tin whistles ? Thanks.
Hi thanks, the first is Bb and the second is an Eb tin whistle 🎶
@@MartinCrossin Hi , Martin. I'm getting in touch with you again. I’ve been a fan of Oldfield for over 30 years and I’d like to practice with the tin whistle. I wanted to know if you could recommend a brand or model with medium quality. I don’t have experience and I don’t want to buy something cheap that sounds bad nor something too professional. Could you help me? Thank you very much.
@@meco215 this is the best of the entry level tin whistles. One of my favourites feadog.ie/product/feadog-brass-d-whistle/
@@MartinCrossin Hello, Martin. I greet you again because although we don't know each other, it turns out that you do know and have played with my fellow of "tertulias Oldfield" Manu Herrera, Paco Salazar and Rubén at the HR convention. We were recording a programme talking about the convention and when your name came up I said to myself ‘That name rings a bell’. I just wanted to say hello. It was a coincidence that I saw this video and it turns out that you are also an Oldfield fan. Best regards
@@meco215 that's great, it is a small world that we have friends in common! Yes, I'm a big Mike Oldfield fan also, HR50 was a super event to be part of. I hope to meet you also one day. All the best!
Guau
Love the sound of your pipes your chanter in particular.
I met and interviewed Paddy Moloney at a Chieftains show around 1983 and had always loved this piece as well as his band work. He was very charming of course :-) The fun fact about this passage is that they had no timecode, so had to guess when the next section was going to begin on the multitrack tape. Completely improvising, they stopped on exactly the right beat :-) Skip forward 40 years or so and I was walking past a North London charity shop to see a Chieftains 5 LP, which I bought, in the window. "I wonder how Paddy Moloney is?", I thought. He had passed away the same day. MJ
That's a great story Mark, thanks for sharing it with me.
Nicely done. I'd never really appreciated how expressive those pipes can be in the right hands!
Thanks for that!
Simply beautiful. Thank you for posting. 🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it
