I'm completely oblivious on how you can just bolt in a new motor. First, does it just "fit"? Also, how does something like this work with the ECM? Do you have to do custom programming?

What symptoms was it having leading up to needing changed? I have an 08 tahoe that's struggling to accelerate intermittently. I've gone through everything else, and has solid fuel pressure at idle but I'm thinking it's not enough under load.

Time for ls7 lifters and a sweet cam

I have a 91 Corvette with a 700R4 (4L60). I wanted to upgrade to a 4L60E for the electronic control capabilities as well as preparing for an LS3 swamp. Most transmission shops in my area did not want to touch this project although I see it being done all the time as in this video and in other places around the country. After hours of research, I discovered that starting as early as the 93 Corvette and all of 94-96 automatics had 4L60E transmissions. After discovering this I just had to find a transmission out of a 94-96 C4 Corvette, and I did. Mine was out of a 94 I took it to a local transmission performance shop and had it built up to a stage 3 transmission. It bolts right up, the driveline had to be cut about 1/4 inch. Which was done easily at the shop. Or you can get that part out of newer Vette. I then used a HGM TCM sport with Bluetooth capabilities. I must say this it is awesome. I went further and installed a Driving profile button that HGM supports. Now I have a standard driving profile, and a high-performance driving profile that I programed into the TCM for different driving situations. which I copied most of the programming from a C6 Corvette transmission program that I found online for my performance profile. I have not installed an engine yet but this 4L60E along with the new HGM TCM makes my vehicle feel as if I have already installed an LS engine, it feels amazing, I can't wait to install my new motor now. Plus, I have the last year of the L98, and it will drop gears on the highway to pass at 75mph without any problems at all. Can’t wait to see what it does after the new motor is installed. Hope this helps others.

Did u use the engine harness from the Ls or did u get one made

Beautiful. So many of these C4 LS swaps YT vids look so difficult but you made it look easy. People hacking out the power steering, the windshield wiper motor, and the AC but you kept it all. Did you ever get it on a Dyno to see what it's putting down

What did you do with the cars original engine wiring harness?
