1993 Honda ACTY Exhaust Removal

Removed the muffler and Resonator off my 1993 Honda ACTY Kei truck. All that is on there is a catalytic converter. Videos of me starting and driving the truck at the end of the video. Engine is the E07A. The truck is 5SPD RWD Rear Engine. Carb. Same engine and transmission that is in the Honda BEAT, except the BEAT has fuel injection and 3 throttle bodies. Honda calls it the MTREC System.

its so funny seeing this because i became friends with JP from another clinet of mine named jeff, and jeff had a 100 chaser i helped him import and i had a 100 mark II and while jp was living in maryland the 3 of us would mob around together!

Hey man, Did you install the Serialnine GX to JZX differential adaptor ? Is that a necessary ?
I did not because that vehicle was a JZX and not a GX. It is necessary if you want to convert your GX subframe to JZX style.
How is thr driving experience after solid bushes? In terms of vibration and noise transfer to cabin?
honestly not that bad, pretty nice. definitely a little bit more of NVH into the cabin but nothing crazy

How much power did this make? I have pretty much the same set up 1000cc injectors Tomei turbo Hks bov Took it to get tuned and the dyno numbers were like 275
i owned this vehicle a couple years ago now so the details are a bit fuzzy. but 275 seems very low to be honest. i hit 450 with a bugger fuel pump, fuel injectors, hi-flowed steel turbo, big intercooler, straight piped exhaust, etc

this one was just a removal of the exhaust, never installed an actual exhaust on this one. sold it shortly after uploading the video
I’m going to order that exhaust manifold from that website and I’m from the states (PA to be specific) for my 1Jz is300 build. For some reason they’re $1200 on eBay but like $700 on that website. Do you think I will ship to me even though it’s in Japan? I just don’t want to pay the $1200 for one hahah
sorry i didnt see this sooner. Yea im not sure though. Most of the time people who sell jdm specific parts upcharge like crazy for them and then when caught they say its because "shipping and parts research" try using RHDJapan or Black Hawk Japan for parts, their prices are decent

Thank you so, so much for posting this! I just brought a Cresta home from the port, 4.0B 64,000 km, no issues, or so it seemed, but the car randomly dies or fails to start. It cranks, but doesn’t turn over. Squirt a little ether in the throttlebody, and it fires right up. I am suspecting the fuel pump, and if not that, I am terrified because it might be the immobilizer, but this video is very helpful to know what to expect as I check the fuel pump. Thank you

Hey man long shot but what fenders are on your chaser, they seem to have a pretty agresive lip on them compared to factory to allow for wider wheels.
these were oem jzx100 chaser fenders. just a good roll job for the lip
lmao i was taking my diff bushings out and it started squirting oil everywhere. I was so confused
tomei USA and tomei japan are seperate entities after tomei USA went behind their backs. Funny how tomei USA has changed their logo and everything yet still use the tomei Japan logo on their turbos. No surprise the wastegate actuator broke. Support tomei japan, not the fakes who continue to use the tomei name.

No it does not. Luckily I still have the stock exhaust. Or I can buy silencers from Autobacs.

Sounds nice and loud, but isn't it illegal now because it exceeds 87db? I guess you have to put it back on before inspection, but probably police don't care when you drive on the street. I've heard plenty of illegal exhaust systems which violate the noise ceiling but police never seem to care about it.
yes it was definitely illegal lol. police seem to ignore US Military members and their cars. but yes for inspection, you gotta put your exhaust back on

Hey there. I felt a huge difference in performance. I have yet to go back to Jun for a dyno session. I will go soon. From what I have read online, I should be at 390 horsepower now with all my mods including cams and timing the exhaust side

Is he running stock injectors, turbo and so on? I just changed my pump to a walbro 455 and heard from someone I should eliminate the resistor so just wondering what his setup is and if you plan to delete the resistor? cheers
Hey there. Currently he is running the Tomei MX8280 Arms turbo, exhaust down pipe, and exhaust manifold. He is currently putting in the 550CC injectors alongside a standalone and a tune. I have heard that you should delete the resistor thing for the fuel pump, especially if you plan to go that big i think. I dont know how to do that but should not be that difficult once you find a diagram on a forum.

It is a Series 2 Toyota Chaser. Facelift model. 1998. This is how it comes stock. It is actually Orange.
Install and tune yet to see the difference?
Both have been installed in different Toyota Chasers. My Drift Motion rebuilt turbo feels great. Check my other numbers for dyno results. Tomei Turbo installed on friend's Chaser and he is not pleased with it. He says it is incredibly laggy.
that tomei spark plug cover looks dope. Started seeing them for sale a few months ago. Cool to see variety instead of just Weld covers.

Where did you buy the rush antilag?
My brother bought it like 10-15 years ago for one of his Supra's and had it laying around so he gave it to me. I think he bought it directly from RUSH Racing.
